“As a member for 20 years it has been an honor to be a part of this synagogue. We are blessed with an excellent Rabbi, well-known music director and teachers who personify what it means to be Jewish. Our tent is open to ‘welcome the stranger.’ Come and share our energy, public interest and respect for all people.”

“I had my Bar Mitzvah here back in 1986. Really beautiful Synagogue, but we mostly did it to please my grandparents, since they were Orthodox (I was just waiting for the big reception party with friends and family back at our house following the ceremony). I also attended high school nearby at Edward R. Murrow, so I always would pass by EMJC on my way to and from school. I got a scholarship from them for going to Israel the summer after I graduated from Murrow, and also for when I went off to college.”

“Wonderful center. The rabbi and his wife are really caring and love the Jewish community here. There are lots of classes, events and daily and weekly services to engage you and your family in the Jewish community in the tri Valley area. While they are orthodox you do not have to be by any means, they are very accepting and just want to help Jews be more Jewish.”
