“Lots of security. A security buzz in system at door. Tall/big guys who watch in the hall/vestibule during service. Were no electronic gates at end of driveway when I visited-that was two years ago. No public transit anywhere near the place. Beautiful building inside and out on fine, scenic lot. Suburban. Large place. Has a fireplace, or , at least, am electric one or a gas one. in a nice waiting area on second floor above snack/coffee area. Inside balcony with security railing on one side of waiting area/sitting area.”

“As a person who is very soon going to become a Bat Mitzvah here and has belonged here almost her entire life, I have found it's a space where you can be with your friends and still have a good time. Just because you are in a learning environment doesn't mean that it still can't be fun. I give Old York Road Temple Beth Am 4 out of 5 stars because sometimes the songs we learn are dumb, useless, and will never help us later on. Everything else about this synagogue is near to perfect. From the friendly teachers to the preparation for your bar or bat mitzvah.”

“Temple Beth El is a warming and inviting synagogue for everyone. Their Shabbat services are also spiritual with Renewal and enlightening to all. They use traditional and modern tunes when it comes to prayer, which engages the congregation. They serve the community with holiday events and Hebrew School for children. *They also offer classes for adults in Hebrew and Torah study. Temple Beth El is a great place to get connected with spirituality and wonderful new friends.”

“It's a place where you can feel as a family member, part of the community. Rabbi Tarohocker and his family are loving people, always caring for everyone. The worshippers: AWESOME! The Torah service described in two words: INSPIRING AND ENCOURAGING! And one of the beautiful things I love about this place is the one to one friendly treatment between the Rabbi and everyone that enters the building even though if its for the first time! The service is bilingual (English and Spanish) which is super helpful to me, my family and friends. They (the congregation) bring and share different types of food after the preaching, all together, as a big family. My kids love to spend all day there and when the Shabbat is over they don't want to go home... what a lovely place!!!”
