“I attended a workshop with Kah-Wai Lin and Mark Denney in Iceland in Sept 2021. We saw some amazing sites along the southern coast. It was a small group and we got a lot of one-on-one time with Kah-Wai and Mark. Not only are they amazing photographers but they are also great teachers and very approachable. They made the whole experience fun. We were instructed in the field and in the evenings they held post-processing workshops. My photography took a significant leap forward during this trip. I've already signed up for additional workshops with both Kah-Wai and Mark.”

“The school is an excellent school. I attended the school of continuing study's for a certificate in human resources managment. The classrooms are small and only have 10 people at most in the classes. This program was nice only 1 night a week. It fit into my personal life well. Each class was 8 to 12 weeks at a time. The staff was very nice and went out of there way to make you feel appreciated to be at the school, as well as the teachers. The office staff let us come down and get free coffee and asked us how we were doing. The dean of the school came in our class rooms once the course was almost done and asked us how things were. We were also able to survey the instructors after the course and give them honest feedback on their classes. The teachers and school focused on making sure we all passed the classes. They showed us what we need to do to get good grades. I highly recommend this school.”

“Mannes is a deeply supportive, fully professional environment. It provides top-quality training, with real interest in the individual student. The Preparatory Department is one of the best resources anywhere, for developing young talents, as well as allowing kids to explore music in a more general way. The college produces strong, energized musicians with real personal authority.”

“I've been a student (intermittently) here since 2010. As someone that loves learning and the overall "school" atmosphere, I feel extremely fortunate that I get to be a student at Palomar College; "lucked out", I would say. The teachers are magnificent and have the potential to change your life forever (I know a few that have for me already*). You can get help with enrollment fees with through the BOG Waiver - all my classes end up being free because of it. Parking permits 1/2 off also. The school is modern and always improving. Their buildings are stylish and unlike anything I've seen anywhere else. Each is unique, yet somehow they all come together to form a beautiful campus. I truly look at this campus like a second home. I love going here. (Parking can suck, that's a big reason why I try to only stick to night classes 🤓) ➡️ HOWEVER! They now have a brand new parking GARAGE! I haven't used it yet, as I am only doing evening classes, but I can only imagine how much it helps everyone be able to find parking! It is nice to know that they actually do care about the problems we face throughout college life & do what they can to help make it as comfortable & as enjoyable as possible! UPDATE (3/19/18)!! I started using the parking garage and it is AWESOME!!! Security cameras coming soon! This school keeps on getting better and better!! 'Safety' is also another big thing here that they take seriously. They make sure to inform us students on a regular (& when, if necessary) basis all the details regarding our options when it comes to being and staying safe throughout our education at Palomar. They have their own (actual/legit) police force that is on duty 24/7 & a direct emergency line to call any hour day or night. They provide free escorts to anyone needing or just wanting a little extra piece of mind walking to their car or anywhere around campus. Every class locks from the inside by a button next to the teacher's phone that keeps anyone from getting in in case of an active shooter or anything else putting students at harm, & when they lock, it sends a signal to the Palomar Police with the location of the room, etc. etc. I could go on but you get it, they care & work hard to keep us safe! 🤗 * AJ Professor Jack Hook, AJ Professor Leeyann Chapman, COMM Professor Wendy Nelson & LS Professor Lisa Burns; just to name a few! ;)”

“I have recently done a Discovery Flight session which was pretty amazing. The instructor was not only helpful in reviewing basic information about the aircraft, but she was also good at debriefing the safety checklist before flying. Additionally, you don't get to just fly next to the instructor, you get to truly fly and control the airplane yourself. The Discovery Flight lasts an hour, but you only get to fly for 30 minutes. The type of aircraft they use to instruct, unless you have your personal airplane, is an SR20. It's a beautiful machine I gotta say, equipped with all-digitalized aviation instruments”

“As student and private pilot I can say that Scott and the crew at Plane Nuts are top notch and professional when it comes to flying airplanes and the business of running a flight school. Not only did gain a pilot certificate, I gained life long friends and relationships that will outlast my flying time. Thanks Scott for all the instruction and recurring help when I need it.”

“This review goes exclusively for the Workforce Development Department. I went to school for 6 months at Jefferson State in the Medical Assistant program in 2019. Apparently, my teacher had turned in that I had too many absences; therefore, I was never awarded my certificate of completion 2 years ago, and I had NO IDEA. Even after the instructor made me believe that is was okay to miss the last class (and thankfully, I still had the email to prove it) she marked that absence, and it took me over the days we were allowed to miss. MRS. COKER in the Workforce Education Department is a GOD SEND!! She listened to me cry and freak out for almost 30 minutes (so embarrassing, but I was understandably upset) and she had me write a grievance email and she brought it straight to the director & had the previous decision overturned! I got my certificate of completion yesterday! Mrs. Coker, THANK YOU. And thank you to the Director of the Workforce Development Department for listening to what I had to say and BELIEVING me. You have no idea how much that meant to me!”
