“Very pleasant with our stay. Had an issue with our bathroom and they offered to changed our rooms without hesitation. Staff is so friendly and a nice quiet hotel to stay at. They offer free parking unlike other hotels and they also have a free shuttle for universal studio or other places. Great place to stay if visiting Universal/ Hollywood. Check in is at 4pm so if you arrive in the morning you can enjoy the city before checking in. Will definitely stay here again, only issue is the room with two beds are full size beds so if you’re on the thicker side two of you won’t fit in one bed unless sleeping on your side but it may be a little uncomfortable.”

“I recently lost a dear friend who was a resident of Charnock for a a little over two years. It was always a delight to visit her there because she felt at home, I felt at home, the ambiance and caregivers were always lovingly gentle and helpful to her. Not to mention the wonderful aroma of their freshly prepared meals that my friend always said were quite tasty. When speaking with my friend's family we both agreed that they and I didn't have to worry about her because Charnock's care was like an extension of her family and friends. Thank you.”

“We checked in late around 10pm and the staff were very warm and accommodating. The room is small but still feels very luxurious and the bed is super comfy and the room very clean. We even had a little outside patio area which was a cute surprise. The breakfast was outstanding much more than we expected and the breakfast staff fantastic. All in all a fantastic hidden gem and perfect for visiting my baby bruin. Amazing value for what you get. Thanks UCLA Guestgouse for such a comfortable stay!”

“I'm proud to write the first review of PetCare LB because I recommend them so highly. I'll spare you my full backstory, but my 17-yr-old Corgi mix is slowing down and needs special attention, and it's been nearly impossible for me to find a sitter that I was comfortable leaving him with. A friend gave me Lilliana's info and I took my dog to her new facility for a meet & greet. When she told me she's a Registered Vet Nurse who's been working in emergency facilities for years, I knew she could probably handle any medical issues that might arise. It was also a huge bonus that her place is close to my home, but most importantly Lilliana is a super friendly, smart, experienced specialist that was very sweet and caring with my dog (and the others that were at her facility recovering from surgery) and her demeanor gave me a peace of mind that I haven't been able to find with anyone else. But what happened next is a testament to her true character: I made my first appointment for a weekend stay, and a few days before the drop-off date my dog got a violent case of..."lower intestinal issues." After a couple of messy nights, he showed a little improvement, but not much. I was thinking I may have to cancel my travel plans, but when I called Lilliana to let her know she wasn't fazed at all and said to bring him on down. I went on a 3-day trip and was so relieved to know he was in such good hands. Lilliana sent me pics and text updates along the way. I just picked him up and my dog seemed happy and rested, and best of all, Lilliana said he's welcome back anytime. (I've gotten the opposite response from some sitters who weren't up for the challenge.) I just hope she doesn't get too busy for us in the future because this is definitely my dog's new home away from home. One final note: since my dog was sick, I dropped him off with a couple of Pyrex bowls full of chicken and rice. Apparently one of them broke while Lilliana was washing it, and she bought me a brand new one! Now THAT is above and beyond in my opinion. So if you care about your pet(s) as much as I do - and I suspect you do if you're reading this - you should definitely contact PetCare LB for your boarding needs. I would give more stars if I could!”

“Great price-quality ratio! 💫 The hotel is close to the freeway, so it’s really easy to come and go to wherever you need to. Also, at walking distance there are several stores and restaurants, such as McDonalds, Starbucks, 7Eleven and Ross. The hotel has free parking. You need to request housekeeping one day in advance. They always did a great job and left body lotion, soap and shampoo. As well as changing the towels. At the front desk, everyone was always really kind and attentive. They had free coffee and hot water (If you wanted to use it for tea or an instant soup). Also, there were bending machines with snacks and drinks. The hotel has a poll. I didn’t went into it, but it always looked clean. The hotel room also has a mini refrigerator. Everything was quiet at night and we always got a good night rest! My only complaint would be the rug. It looked really old and dirty. I always had to use shoes/slippers in the room.”

“I booked this hostel in a last minute panic after some plans fell through, and was more than a little nervous due to the negative reviews. Frankly, you're getting what you pay for. It is cheap and close to LAX, with a pharmacy, convenience store, gas station and fast food all within walking distance. It isn't incredible, but it isn't awful. Just about everyone I spoke to was just another friendly traveler looking to save a few bucks. If you're a lonely solo traveler (like I was) just sit by the pool and try to look friendly. You'll make some friends quickly. The front desk staff were a little unenthusiastic and one even forgot to give me my room key when checking me in, but it was easily fixed by popping back in a minute later. The area is a bit dodgy and as a very short, petite female I wouldn't have felt safe going out at night so I just made sure to get my shopping and outings done during the day. But I did enjoy staying here. Overall, just know that you're paying for a cheap place to sleep. Not everything is going to be perfect and if you're wanting something nicer, perhaps cough up a little extra for a nicer place to stay.”

“We arrived around 10pm from a long drive. We were tired, the hotel was peacefully quiet and the staff was very welcoming. Room was much larger than expected which was great. Beds were comfortable and well made. Snug with cold a/c you can adjust. Room was clean and orderly. Woke up early next morning and enjoyed the breakfast. Spent the whole day at the beach at Santa Monica which was about a 15 min drive. Came back tired and had the best sleep of my life. Next morning checked out. In all this is my first experience at a hotel in general, first vacation to be honest. I plan on making this my hotel for future trips to LA”
