“I stayed at the Grand hotel twice. Once in 2004, once again a couple years ago. I used to live in Bolinas in 1978, and I loved it there. I'm right now in dumpy old San Francisco, and I went up to Bolinas to get some peace and quiet. I also tried finding a motel in Sacramento, I couldn't find anyplace. Bolinas is about the only place I feel comfortable, anyplace else, no. I like the people and the scenery of Bolinas, but I can only go up there when I have the money. The main reason I go to Bolinas is to see if I can find some old friends, but out of all hotels I stayed, the Grand hotel is the nicest. Nice rooms, well kept, like living in the countryside. Both those times I stayed at the Grand, I was the only one there. In 2004 I stayed in the big room to the right, couple years ago I stayed in the small room on the left, I like the small room better. I hope it doing ok Victor. I miss Bolinas, and I hope to be back someday. Signed Shaggy”

Decorated perfectly so you want to pack everything up and take it home, alas I only purchased one item (car already full) but I love the vase I got so much. So glad we walked over”

“I love this bookstore! There are so many interesting books that I can't go in here without buying at least one. The owner of the store is very concerned with having the latest books and also great Classics so there's something for everyone. The children's book section is excellent and there is always something there I can find to pick up when I'm on my way to see my grandchildren. I love the mystery selection and I love the fact that you can now go down to the bookstore in the evening and have a glass of wine and sit outside and just enjoy the waterfront. This is a great addition to Sausalito and I'm so grateful to Cheryl for keeping it going.”

“Assembly of unique little treasures here you cannot find in one place anywhere in this cute little shop at the end of the world. A sort of reflection on the uber-progressive, late hippie ethos extant in these parts. Bumper-stickers très unique, Tibetan collectibles, scarves, textiles of the modern, beads, brass, bric-à-brac, etc. I'm heading out there just to get some bells today. Sometimes you get a free one-card tarot reading with check-out. Insouciant staff means you do not get pampered here. Prices reasonable, not esp cheap. Have a drink at Smiley's across the street whilst in town.”

“It is hard to put words to how special it was working with Rachel and the whole team at Debonair Events for our August outdoor wedding at Falkirk Cultural Center. After my initial conversation with Rachel, we felt like we struck gold. She completely understood what we were hoping to do and crafted a proposal that featured food we loved, was creative, and totally in line with our budget. She offered fantastic advice and expertise to help guide our decision making. We were looking for someone to run the whole show on the wedding day and Rachel & team did just that. The food was outstanding - fresh ingredients, beautiful presentation, and delicious. Our friends and family couldn't stop talking about how blown away they were and that it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. Rachel also provided day-of coordination, managed all the rentals, set-up/clean-up, and flow of the event. She made it possible for us to totally relax and enjoy every minute of the day. The staff were so fun and professional. They handled every moment with ease, though I'm sure it was a ton of work. This is the team you'll want to pick every time for any event, big or small.”

“I made an appointment with Andrew for February 27, 2007. Truly that was the hardest part, I had smoked for 20 years and was a fully committed secret smoker by the time I made the call. I smoked every cigarette I had on the way to the appointment, even during my appointment I planned a stop at 7-11 to get some Indian spirits...the appointment ended I payed the money and left. It was only when I got home I realized I had driven right past the store, it didn’t even cross my mind! I didn’t have a craving after that which dispelled my belief that my addiction to cigarettes was physical. Haven’t smoked since 02-27-2007.
