“The road starts off easy enough but gets rough fast. Having a 4x4 or a raised vehicle to continue will help. After the second fire restriction sign the road gets easier to pass. The campsite is spacious with a vault toilet. It's very quiet. Pack in-Pack out.”

“March '21. The entrance to the trail is down a paved lane off highway 74 at the fire station. It is a beautiful area full of oak trees. The trail is a little rocky here and there but not too hard and definitely worth the effort. It is well marked. You feel like you're out in the middle of nowhere but it's only a 45 minute drive from PS. The area is so pretty and there were still some snow patches.”

“Feels pretty long, easy to moderate hike not too steep; can’t make it to the top after over 1 hour hike so decide to come back down in the late afternoon.”

“Please go by station 52. This is the original point of origin. This station has produced many a hero, and one is forever in our hearts, Bruce Visser, a born and bred local Fire Fighter of the highest order. A beautiful and simple memorial is at this station. Read the memorial statement and poetry of life and death, and the attitude of those who fight the fires created by both man and nature. This little historic station is past station 53, nestled slightly up Morris Ranch Road, to the right. Get the feel, the contact high, and wander softly the grounds of this station. Listen to the sound of the wind in the tree tops, and take special note of the wild wash.”

“We absolutely love Lake Hemet!! We have stayed 3 years in a row with completely unique incredible experiences!! What a treat to go back to our fave site and have the Lake at our doorstep!! Unbelievable how gorgeous and huge the Lake is now!! My Son N Law and Grandson fished all 3 days right at site and we were treated with the best fish dinners!! We are so grateful as the bathroom is so clean and accessible! We have rented boats and really enjoyed our time on the lake- We swam for a while and enjoyed every second ! The water was awesome temp!! Can’t wait to go back soon!!”

“This gym is the best! Well rounded set of equipment to ensure a good full body workout. To make things even better are the owners Brian and Brandy who will spend time to share knowledge about fitness, self defense and a healthy lifestyle. If you're in the area and you care about yourself then stop by during business hours and check it out”

“Last minute stay here (the nearby yellow post sites were all occupied) but it was a good stay. Nice large campground. Some sites seemed a little crowded. We stayed at #64. This whole row of sites was pretty empty compared to the rest of the campground. Plus, there were no sites on the back side which was nice.”

“Today even after hours of calling to AAA (Premier Service, now I should cancel my membership with them) they could not connect me with a technician and didn't provide me roadside and battery service. Fortunately a snow plow driver from CALTRANS helped me to start my car and to find a safer way home. I am so appreciate your help. The CALTRANS employee rescued my life and my dog in the forest on the route 243. Probably his name is Marco. Thanks a lot.”

I posted a photo of the hemet lake side during our winter in 2023 Feb.”

“The new owners have really done great in fixing up this little gas station/convenience store. They have a way better selection now including vaping supplies, and they're reliably open during business hours. Yes, the prices are nuts but you're paying for convenience. The grocery store in town is no better. Gas prices are usually cheaper than in town, but not as cheap as down the mountain.”
