“Good park. Only 2 regular swings, and 1 baby swing. Probably a better park for a picnic because it’s a little boring, err, it’s playground equipment is a little irregular which is cool for a little bit, kids have to use their imaginations to enjoy it, which is good for their brains. Definitely challenging equipment for uncoordinated.”

“Just spent one night there to test out. Only 3 sites being used including mine. Seemed fairly quiet except the one family (mom, dad, kid and dog) who seemed louder than the other site that had several people (about 7 or 8 people). Gave it a 4 star instead of 5 because I wish there was a ranger to keep the dog family in check since their dog wasn't on a leash. It didn't full blown attack, but as I walked by their site, I had my hand on my knife and had to stop for the owner to come and get it.”

“Perfect location for a park with plenty of space to stretch your legs and walk your pets. Views are amazing with it located along the Embarcadero.”

“Really large dog park for all size dogs. There is no separation of size or weight. There are a bunch of benches and chairs here, mostly placed under the trees to catch shade. The center of the park is all dirt, no shade or trees, and the outskirts of the park (with trees) have weeds underneath. Overall, still an alright park because it's huge and plenty of room for any size dog. There is also a cement building bathroom for humans directly outside the back of the dog park! Super awesome.”

“Cute and quiet campground with flushable toilets and warm showers. Some campsites are a bot close to each other and have no privacy at all. Very clean and well taken care of campground which also has cabins. The only problem is that the road is right next to the campsites. The cars cause noise throughout the day and night.”

“A great little park overlooking the gorgeous San Diego Bay! Ample parking. However, if you go on weekends, get there early; parking lot fills up very quickly. There's a small playground for the kiddos. The restrooms are clean and well-maintained. Police presence is constant, to ensure safety. Lots of benches and tucked away spots for awesome picnics or just a quick nap!”

“I had no idea this hike existed in San Diego County but was pleasantly surprised! Beautiful nature and the view from atop the mountain is very satisfying. You'll see some neat landmarks along the way. I'd rate the difficulty of the hike moderate in Spring time. There were some areas where the bush narrows and could scratch up your arms if you're not careful. I don't remember seeing any bathrooms or porta pottys even at the trail head so just be aware of that. I think this hike also requires an adventure pass which are sold in a shop near the trail head.”

“Great hiking / backpacking / camping trail. Careful of mountain bikers coming around corners quickly. Restrooms only at trailhead parking lot. Just know there are some big cats watching you! Check out pix.”

“This location is great, it has a lot of options to do different routes for walkers and runners. The playground is great too for the kids to play afterwards. I cannot praise enough the teachers. Shelby and Ann are amazing! We have been dealing with some creepy guys in the last few months but the instructors always make sure to handle the situation the safe way. Only negative point is that there isn’t a way to work out there if it rains. Today the class got moved to alga Norte and it was a good (but not perfect) alternative.”

“Great dog park with ample parking. The park is not entirely closed off so make sure your dog has good recall.”

“A pleasant stroll and nice views. The main loop was only a 1.2 miles so not worth going far out of your way for. It's might be a little steep for some and the trails haven't gotten worn in yet, but I'm sure soon they will be nice. The switchback to the left isn't marked well. One must pass to the right of the pipe-gate. It seems like one is parking in the winery, but they have their own parking lot next to Gird and one passes through the winery land to get to the trail.”

“It's pretty simple, it's like a big soccer field. It looks to have concessions stands and bathrooms, but they were closed and locked when I went at 10am. Entry is the either the first or second left off”

“A must on your "Bucket List". If you love horses & camping, this is the place for you. New comers recommend getting a map to enjoy all the trails & to stay safe out there. Us serious riders, there is usually water at the springs. Ranger may not always know the conditions out there, so network with other advance riders. There's something for everyone. Don't forget the "Lake Ride"! 🏞️”

“Grass is dry and worn, but the dirt underneath is still better than the grassless gravel you get at some places. This is a spacious layout on a mild decline which is great. Some picnic tables and seating for guests. It's part of a larger green and we'll maintained park. My boy had a great time in both large and small dog enclosures. Will definitely be visiting again.”

“This park is fantastic. It's a true gem.. the little wooden cabins are perfect for a sleepover. They don't have any kitchens or running bathrooms in them, but they have a giant fire pit in the back where you can grill and they have shared bathrooms and showers. Great for a few days or a week. Lots of giant RVs were parked and they have plenty of tent camping for individuals and large groups. The best grocery store is before you climb the mountain as groceries and Julian are pretty expensive and selection is sparse, so guess what you need before you go the final distance to Julian. Great hiking trails, friendly people. Cute shopping stores. It's an overall wonderful experience.”
