Green Hills Park

Park

“Green Hills Park is located in a quite neighborhood in Millbrae, CA. I was able to enjoy a few hours at the park after purchasing lunch at a nearby Taco truck. There is a bronze memorial plaque at the park for a pedestrian who was killed at the crosswalk. This was spooky. The park does have a children's play area and grill stands. Our visit was pleasurable.”

Golden Hill Monument 金山華人石碑

Address: 2005 Hillside Blvd, Colma, CA 94014, USA

Park

“Don't waste your time looking around for another service. Confidently go ahead and work with Golden Hill Monument cause they give you the best price and service. They truly care about you and your feelings and are willing to accommodate your time and even money limits and constraints. I worked directly with Henry in September 2021. They make the process easy and hassle free. Henry was not even in rush to get the money, he delivered the marker to the memorial park and sent me a picture and then when I followed up about the rest of the payment he gave me the option of sending him a check by mail. When we told the memorial park that Golden Hill Monument is our vendor, they also mentioned that Golden His is a reliable vendor and they work with them often. Some time around Christmas I sent a picture of the market to Henry to ask him how I could fix a minor scratch on the picture (I was just looking for some advice like a special marker or something) and what he did was he arranged to have the photo replaced to a brand new one without even me following up on that. So, I would highly recommend Golden Hill Monument, and I should say I did check 10+ vendors before I decided to work with them, and I would choose them again. Thank you Henry and the team!”

Thornewood Open Space Preserve

Park

“I've wanted to check out this park for quite some time and a few times we did stop there was no parking. There is a total of nine parking spots plus one handicap spot and it is tight. Make sure to back into your parking spot or else you're going to have a world of trouble trying to get out. Today we stopped there by chance and miraculously someone was walking to their car and we were able to back into our spot. There is a Private Road that is not for pedestrians and the trail that goes alongside of it. This park is pretty small compared to all the other ones and a walk down to a lackluster pond I just don't think was worth the time but I'm happy to check this one off my list. If you walk all the way down it's about 400 ft in elevation not too steep. The one highlight of this trip was on the way up I thought I was taking a shortcut and I found a geocache which was the first one I've ever found. You'll see my signature there. There's a couple of good opportunities to take photos of the bay and Stanford Tower. Of course we did pass a couple families with their kids and the little girls of course complaining that they didn't want to walk anymore. Parents please stop forcing your daughters to go on hikes unless they want to, I mean the complaining is loud enough to make us want to get away from your family as soon as possible.”

Bay Area Dragons

Address: Bounty Dr &, Foster City Blvd, Foster City, CA 94404, USA

“The boat park is perfect for launching kayaks or canoes by oneself into the central lake. It's never as crowded as the other launch site in Leo Ryan park, the dock area is large and there are parking spots a few feet from the water edge - so one need not lug the boat too far. The water is calm, no need to worry about tide or waves.”

Hillside Park

Address: 222 Lausanne Ave, Daly City, CA 94014, USA

“Very clean park, grass was lovely. It was also very lively, with people playing soccer, tennis, volleyball, and basketball. I would be careful if you have a dog that doesn't get along with others though, as there were a few off-leash dogs that passed through while I was there.”

Davey Glen Park

“Pleasant little park, often shaded by tall eucalyptus trees nearby. Engaging play structures, attractive landscaping apart from artificial turf. Nice place to watch birds, including Steller's Jays, Anna's hummingbirds, and the occasional oriole. Some inconsiderate folks leave dog feces around, though, so be careful.”

Willow Oaks Park

Address: 490 Willow Rd, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA

Park

“Parking is a little sparse. It's at the light of Coleman and the driveway to enter is a little narrow if there is another vehicle exiting. This playground is great for my 2 and 5 year old. Not too big where I'm not running around in circles and can still keep a close eye on the other one if they get separated. It is enclosed which benches and a nice walking path around the perimeter. Good shade from lots of trees. To the left, there is a huge grassy field for a lot of doggy owners to meet and their canines to romp around together. Also great for your little one to run loose and kick a soccer ball. It is one of those parks that do not get too crowded which I appreciate. There is no need to worry about a big kid hustling my little one, although there was a boy that pushed my 2 year old girl to the ground trying to get up the ladder and it took some inner strength not to react and say something because the parents were not paying attention so what was the point.”
