“Never put this place on the end of any itinerary, otherwise you might miss and have to come visiting again, like I had to do. This is actually a very old ranch, or farmhouse, and the patriarch or the family donated to California state park department. Liked the dried trails by which a lot flowers would make your way more beautiful. Also, there i s another small field just by the freeway on the way to this place where you will always meet some deers, so drive carefully. People told me you can spend an entire day hiking, or strolling here, but I am yet to do the same.”

“This is a well-tended, gorgeous establishment with a structure and tons of green grassy space to romp or ride about, ideal for kids! Only one concern is proximity to the highway, which while protected by barbed fence, is a downhill slide, not to mention source of white-noise uncharacteristic of such a beautiful park area.”

“I gave this high review because the park needed to updated. My girls enjoyed the pirate ship but it was getting old. The whole park is slowly getting upgraded like the soccer field and baseball diamonds. Now, the play structures. Upgrade for the old are always nice.”

“Walnut and 7th park is a gem, it's not very busy because of it's secluded area but it sure is a great way to spend a nice afternoon with the kids. Swings, jungle gym and an open grass area to run around in. Beautiful tree's for shade or open area for Sun. Street parking but beware it is located next to a lot for large dumptrucks that drive in and out. Clean park with dog bags if you need to cleaan up after your dog. No restrooms. BYOB basketball. Dogs must be on the leash.”

“It's the most unique park around Folsom, made like a castle wonderland for kids. Really appreciate the designers' effort to give a different touch to a play area for kids. There are so many different stairs/nooks/climbing options for kids to explore and it's done very artistically. You have to go there yourself since it's hard to explain it in words. It's accessible both through bike trail and by road which is great.”

“We lucked out as it was a really fine, sunny day that we were here for their guided tour. The drive from the East Bay almost took 2 hours but it was scenic and pleasant as we took Highway 1. Staff was really friendly and our docent tour guide, Alexandria, was really knowledgeable and fun. It wasn't a difficult hike too. Our group had a few really young kids and couple of seniors and they managed the trail just fine. The highlight of course was the chance to view the elephant seals...and there were a ton of them! Even encountered some in the trail path leading to the beach. Overall a really great experience. I'm happy we got to try this. We will continue to support our State parks so I'm highly encouraging everyone to try this too. Breeding season is only through March. The seals will be back though during the summer months.”
