“A great hiking area with miles of trails that are in decent condition. The views from the peaks are spectacular and on a clear day you can see for miles. The trails were not to busy when I visited in the middle of the workweek. Overall I had a great hiking experience here.”

“Not long after the Mid-Peninsula Open Space District was formed I lived in one of the handful of homes within the boundaries of the Fremont Older Estate. It was one of the best experiences of my life. This is a wonderful open space preserve on the edge of one of the busiest, frantic business centers in the planet. Treat yourself to a weekend hike and explore the fantastic natural habitat we've carved out for the public to enjoy.”

“The drive there and the directions to the picnic area were simplified by the Google mapping. Easy pezzy. We were the first to arrive and waited for the food delivery in the parking. We toured the facilities and found them to be clean, accessible and inviting. Enjoyed this venue with family and friends.”

“It was nice. There is an anti-drone rule with no postings about it. The ranger came over and told me to bring it down. I asked where it was posted that they weren't allowed and he didn't specify anywhere. Gorgeous park, minus the drone issue.”

“This is a smallish park from my childhood. They've revamped the playground and cut back some of the trees so it's not as creepy as I remember it being. I'm not sure if they have BBQ pits on site. There is a small parking lot that always seem to have spaces. Overall a nice place to visit.”

“Loop trail is short. Otherwise excellent: close by, not overcrowded, adjacent to a winery/picnic-area and etc. Picchetti Pond only fills after heavy rains and drains quickly. A special treat :) Abundant deer, views of the Quarry and Reservoir. Winery has peacock(s). Clean restrooms with flush toilets. Occasionally wild turkeys.”

“This is really an Open Space preserve enshrined as a Santa Clara County Park. It links Skyline Blvd with Stevens Canyon Road. The two main trails are the Table Mountain Trail and the Grizzly Flat Trail. Both meet up with the Canyon Trail which runs from the end of Stevens Canyon Road all the way up to Monte Bella Open Space Reserve. Note that there are a lot of bicycle restrictions within this park. Bikes are only allowed on parts of the Table Mountain Trail and Charcoal Road, and ONLY in the uphill direction.”

“A nice large trail, with an amazing view on the mountains and the ocean. Try to get a map before coming as many entrance doesn't provide information. There is many options, so make sure you well know what you want to do. Watch out for bikes riding fast, one just passed us, yelling at us to give her a way: I barely had time to catch my toddler. Hopefully she was the only stupid and dangerous rider in the area.”

Address: 3445 Benton St, Santa Clara, CA 95051, USA
“This is a fine park with an older but still totally serviceable play structure, big basketball court with 4 hoops, and plenty of green space. Lots of sand for digging and building. The structure is best suited to younger kids. Great place for the 6-and-under crowd. Adequate parking lot (around 15 spaces).”
