“Wife and I needed a place to crash on a road trip from Los Angeles to Napa. Chaminade popped up on our radar and we booked. This place is exceptionally charming. The grounds are beautiful, naturally (being in Santa Cruz), but the forest drive to the entrance still enchants each time. The staff is as friendly as one could ask for. They directed us to an awesome pizzeria on Pacific for dinner (Pizza My Heart). This stopover in Santa Cruz itself, as well as Chaminade was random, but we’ll be returning specifically to stay here.”

If you are vegetarian or vegan you will also appreciate the numerous selections. Ample portion sizes. We had the. Lamb Korma and Coconut Lamb Curry. Did not disappoint us. My husband and I must have said this is so good at least 25 times during the meal. Service is friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend. Pricing is very reasonable. Tell a friend.”

Service was great, very attentive and helpful. We have eaten there with just two of us but also very accommodating when we're had our whole family of 12 eating there. The only drawback is that they close at 3p.m. Easy stop right off Mt. Herman.”

The restaurant was clean and cozy. They outside seating was surrounded by plants and was very pretty. I will definitely come back and sit outside. My food was delicious and was a very large portion considering I got a lunch order. I even received a free cup of hot and sour soup which was excellent I’ll add. Definitely try this place out.”

“This is on Pacific highway 1. Many stop to refresh, eat or just have a coffee from their long journey or their local road trip. I stopped here with a couple of young girls that I met from Romania. We had a coffee and dessert. This is one of the few places throughout my travels that I actually found cake with culinary lavender icing topped with a bit of real lavender. It was delicious.
