“Awesome food at this Mexican food restaurant down in the Capitola Village! The menu speaks for itself and the charm of the staff is always welcoming. Parking can be a struggle, but that's normal for a beautiful setting with delicious food! Highly recommended.”

“Nice and quiet location, situated in Seascape. It has a vast walking trail that encompasses the grounds and circles along the scenic cliffs. The benches are well suited for some relaxation amongst the fresh breeze that emits from the sea. The breathtaking backdrop of the sunsets, is ripe for a classic group picture or romantic partnership. It has a small play yard for the little ones - not so much for the older kids though. Bring your dog or bike, their is plenty of room to spread out, share the wealth of nature and find your surreal mind set.”

“The nice old lady at the register was hilarious and super patient while I crashed through my first door dash shopping experience. I pray she gets a living wage for putting up with us young stupid people moving so fast. She saved my life that night. I slowed my roll and watched a big rig run a stop light and would have done me in if I was moving as fast on my way out as I was on my way in. Respect your elders they made it this long for a reason!”

“place and person different. I really like the vet, the products promoted I don't. I remain concerned that so many vets still use pesticides on dogs and all the products end up in the dump eventually. It seems like we need an upgrade in what is offered through various product chains and the costs being tossed at clients. I think it adds to dogs being returned to the shelter because of the costs to just get basic care for a shot, a stool sample or teeth cleaning.”

“I was born and raised in Santa Cruz and unfortunately have never been able to shop local for cute clothing! I either have to make the trek over the hill or order online. Jade Allen boutique has changed all of that for me! Anytime I’m going on vacation or have any event I go to Jade and they always have everything I need! All of the newest trends are in the store and I get introduced to new amazing designers every time I go in there! I have been shopping there for five years now. Every time I go to any big department stores like Neiman Marcus or Bloomingdale’s a lot of times I come out with nothing. But every time I go into Jade I want everything in that store! The owner, Sonya, is the sweetest person and every single girl that works there is amazing! They always give me their honest opinion and always make me feel right at home! I get tons of compliments anytime I wear anything from Jade Allen! Love love love!”

“A busy office. But everyone from receptionist to aide to the doctor was friendly and helpful. Dr. MItnick is not my first podiatrist. I found him caring and very competent in addition to being warm and thorough. My pain level was far below previous experiences. I will happily return for more treatments.”

“Chris resurrected my 1960 1200. I bought it after it had sat for 25 years with a seized engine. Chris rebuilt the engine and pretty much everything else. Now, she runs great. I've had lots of bad experiences trying to keep other old cars on the road. Chris is the exception...saw the project through, despite many unforeseen issues, completing the job and was a pleasure to deal with. Thank you Chris!”

“In response to the one-star review: "Don’t believe their hours. I walked in at 5:45 and a librarian immediately walked in front of me and locked the restroom doors." The hours of the library are 10-6, the bathrooms lock before because the staff want to go home and can't wait for everyone to use the restroom. You are welcome to come in and use the restroom when they are open before closing. "I’m not an unhoused person, just a local toddler mom and full time public service employee getting off work with a very urgent need to go pee hoping to trip link with returning my kids books on my way home from a 12 hour work day." It doesn't matter if you're unhoused or not, they have closing schedules because people need to go home to their own families. They are not a restroom service, they're a library. "I said it was an emergency. No remorse. I know public service is hard, but kindness and customer service should still be a thing." Asking public service workers to give YOU a break because you're not unhoused, asking them to spend time they need to be doing their job standing and waiting for you to use the bathroom, when they don't know you or how you're going to act, is not a kindness to them. Go to Safeway. Signed, A former customer service worker at an establishment with a public restroom.”

“I just returned home from another wonderful weekend spent at this scenic retreat center. The location, which overlooks Monterey Bay, is an excellent place to refresh one’s soul. Villa Maria Del Mar is owned and operated by the Sisters of the Holy Names, a congregation of Catholic women religious. According to center’s website the property includes a chapel and three buildings that are used for bedrooms, meeting rooms and dining rooms. A major asset is its proximity to the beach, which enhances one’s spiritual journey with dazzling sunrises and sunsets and the gentle songs from waves meeting the nearby shore. In addition to attending to one’s spiritual health, nourishment is provided with healthy menus prepared by Epicurean Group. The rooms are clean and neat. Hospitality is also offered by the Sisters and staff in abundance.”

“Part of Pleasure Point and Opal Cliffs area. Has stairways for beach and water access. Small parking lot and bathroom near cliff top path. Great views and surfing when swell is right. Can get quite cold and windy. Make sure you have warm clothes available. It can be warm inland and cold here.”

“I surprised my boyfriend with the metal clay dome pendant class where we got to learn how to make pendants from metal clay! Our instructor was Rae Rodriguez, who is very knowledgeable on the subject, she is amazing, talented, patient, fun, all around wonderful teacher! My boyfriend and I walked away with two amazing pendants, and he said it was one of the coolest things we ever done! We will be coming back for more classes!”
