“Holy Moly, what a place! This shop added a little dazzle to my trip up the mountain. I found a lovely Sequoia-themed painting which I look at every time I want to remember my vacation. I’m so glad The Lantern is here and I’ll visit every time I come through.”

“Lora Campos Such an amzing gal, showed her the back of my head, it was obvious & clear to see that I had contracted some type of infection from a Lindsay Barbershop, those shmucks weren't cleaning or sanitizing their hair cutting utensils at all, thus making me get these dam marks & scabs in the back of my head, I am thankful & appreciative of Mrs.Campos, she knew exactly what I needed to finally treat and remedy my infection in the back of my head. 😞🙏💯”

“Beautiful Hotel/Restaurant in a cozy, intimate, lodge-like setting. We had the Fish Tacos, Black Beans, and Garlic Fries. Their burgers also looked delicious. All were good, but the Garlic Fries were outstanding. Friendly, attentive, service makes this place a must stop when visiting Springville.”

“We booked here very last minute after a cancellation somewhere else and we're very happy with our night there. There a lot of great hiking spots in the area. There is a nice tavern across the street with music and simple food, but it was all good. The lodge itself was empty when we were there, but we were free to hang out there. And it had a nice little breakfast. All around, very pleasant. No wifi in the rooms though.”

“My Personal Favorite ! If you've never stood before Majestic Mountains and looked over what I call the Top Of The World and looked over the other side, with a million pine trees , and a smell that will make you feel like you are in heaven, then this place is a must see and should be at the top of your bucket list. Located approximately 8 miles Northeast off of hwy.190 you make a left just passed Quaker Meadow and follow the well maintained dirt road and follow the small orange arrows. Mind you, there are only 2. Never been on a horse or in the back country? You MUST go to this place. At the very Top of The High Sirra Range. Absolutely Gorgeous. Tell Steven Day Tracey Sent You. They are available for Day rides half day rides, or they can take you on a long ride, drop you off with a Camp Cook and Guide and You can Stay a week.!!”

“We were visiting Springville, CA during the long weekend. One of the locals recommended this restaurant run by locals. We were not disappointed, as the food quality was awesome. I had Onion rings and Veggie burger which was great. My son had steak and I was told that it was great too. Everything is prepared fresh hence, it is good on your stomach. We will visit again.”

“We were here for a week on site 8 and 9. It's a nice campground but campsites are kinda close to each other although some of the campsites look apart from each other on the campground map. Once you see the campground turn right into it cause Google maps will tell you to continue past the entrance towards a narrow road with no entrance to campground and it's not easy making a u turn! I stayed on site 8 which had bathrooms and water close by. I heard other campers saying the water wasn't working near their site, I guess that's why everyone was coming for water by where we stayed. Bathrooms were okay at times but there is lots of flies and toilet paper does finish quickly so good thing we took our own. DON'T FORGET THE BUG SPRAY!!! We still got bit but it would've been worse if we didn't have it. The mosquitoes was what made me not want to be there! They usually go away when you have a campfire but it's not allowed right now😔. There's also 2 general stores near by that close early but one of them closes til 8 or 9 pm on Fri/Sat. I would stay here again if I knew the mosquitoes weren't going to be such a big problem! I can't tolerate the normal here and there mosquito.”

“My favorite place to take a quick trip , Relax and clear my mind. Kids love it!! Nothing like getting them out and about for some fresh air and exploring. I wish everyone would pick up after themselves though it’s very sad to see such a beautiful place being mistreated 😞Let’s keep it beautiful everyone 😀”

“Great coffee. Delicious sandwiches. Friendly employees and owners. Good atmosphere. Consistency. We have felt welcome here from the start. It's cute, has a nice little patio and amazing views of the surrounding foothills. This is our favorite place to eat in Springville. Heck, this is our favorite place to eat in the county! My random special requests are always met with a smile. Yesterday, I wanted a hot mint mocha, and they did a great job on it. Tasted like Christmas in a cup! Keep up the good work! We'll see you this week!”

“We enjoyed the stay here, it is a quite a drive from Orange County to the Ponderosa community, the lodge is clean. the town has a snow party , it was lots of fun . The snow play is great. Our party has three people. the lodge has headroom upstairs and a single bathroom. The fireplace is old fashioned, it burns firewood!”

“Drove up to camp Nelson with the intention of doing a solo camping trip on 6/4/2021 . Was not sure exactly where to go but I happen to pass the camp nelson fire station. On a whim I decided to pull in and ask for their opinion. I was met by several people in the fire station who were extremely helpful. They all showed a lot of interest and pointed me in the right direction .A fireman who I neglected to get his name actually took me around the area and showed me the best places to go. Now that is customer service. Way beyond what he was required to do. Also met the local highway patrolman who was very nice. Great experience. I will stop in there and say hi next time I’m in the area. If you are in the area and have time to stop in and say hi to these guys .”
