“Expensive but you get what you pay for! The stuff sold here are fresh. The workers gave me samples since I was new. The huckleberry and salt -butter donuts are they best sellers, which I sampled. They were both good. Huckleberry was not overwhelmingly sweet, so I could taste the dough and huckleberry both. Salty donut was good, too. The chocolate donut was delicious. Three donuts for about $15 including the tip for almost aggressively friendly workers, but there are constant stream of people coming for donuts which shows that people are willing to fork up their wallets for good quality donuts around here. When you walk in, the workers shout, "welcome!" I almost shouted back something, but I didn't...”

“The food was incredible. Portions are very, very big. The waitress a little... not necessarily rude, but wasn't very friendly. Everything we asked for or needed seemed like we were inconvenient. The pancakes are HUGE. Definitely recommend getting the short stack. The gravy tasted phenomenal, though not as hot as we normally like. The chorizo burrito was large, flavorful, and well priced. The chicken for the chicken and waffles were absolutely delicious. We didn't get all our food together and by the time the chicken and waffles got there, we were halfway done, but they were well worth the wait. Hand breaded perfection.”

“Not the cleanest grocery store in town but it’s cheaper than Savemart lol. They have a large selection and their meat department seems to have everything you need but the fact that the inside of this store shows it’s age doesn’t give me confidence to buy meat from here. If they were to remodel and bring this store to a more modern and clean feel it would be perfect! The cashiers are friendly and everything is well stocked at decent prices”

“Came here for a late night snack, and it was so good! I ordered the carne asada tacos with salsa roja, and oh my gosh I was taken aback. The carne was so juicy and the flavors were colliding(in a good way) on my tongue. The price for one was only $2 too, so I’m glad it wasn’t overpriced. I wish I tried more things, but I live close by so I will 100% be back!!”

“We stumbled upon this French dessert shop, and it was a really pleasant find. The story is newly decorated with pastel floral and artificial greenery with a big mural of a scene of Paris. Enjoying the cream puffs there makes us feel like we are there. And the various flavors of cream puffs are super delicious. You got to at least give it a try.”

“Well it turns out that Aunt Em is indeed friendly. Bring cash. It's 4 stars because over all we only enjoyed 2 out of 12 items. We but keep reading to see our favorites and must try. We went on a Sunday afternoon and everything was in stock, fresh and available. We bought one of EVERYTHING because we hadn't had any of these pastries before. Most of them are a repeat of the same ingredients used in a different way. Butter, Sugar, Coconut in most of it. Everything was sweet, not overly sweet but even the savory items we slightly sweetened. The four of us tried everything right away. Here is what would consider we ordering again: Cheese Rolls⭐️ $2 ea Cheesy bread roll sweet, super flaky like baked fila dough coated with a sugar butter glaze. We could have order a couple of dozen. Ube Ensaymada $4 Brioche bread buttery rich filled with ube extract and topped with cheese. The other flavored Ensaymadas were dolce de leche and cheese in the center, sweet, salted granulated cheese on top. In our opinion those flavors we not the business. The texture is good but not the flavor combo. And maybe these: Chicken Empanadas $4 Beef Empanadas $4 These have peas, carrots and potatoes with meat. These were decent. We tried these a million different ways so our palette for these is advanced. Buko pie $5 Young coconut custard pie You gotta love coconut to like this because it is literally a pot pie with tons sugary shedded coconut and chunks of coconut meat on the inside. Not really custardy at all. This was good but we won't get it again. The Chicharrones $8, deep fried pig skin, feet, ears. Who really ever knows, but 2 of us liked those. The other 2 of us couldn't get past the smell. Stinkier than any pork rind/ anything that I have ever smelled. We really don't have any experience with Filipino pastries so we couldn't really compare it to much. I have a feeling someone with a little more experience would really enjoy a lot of these. From what I have researched these are authentic style pastries. And would likely satisfy the tastebuds of someone looking for familiar flavors from their childhood and or travels.”

“It is a nice bakery and sandwich store! Their pastries are quite delicious! I have been here, several times, and I was never disappointed. They also sell my favorite drink from childhood, Orangina! One drawback, not enough space to sit down and enjoy pastries or sandwiches. Also, the prices for those pastries do add up. So, I would only recommend to visit this establishment, when discretionary funds are available. Of course, I do not regret spending cash in this establishment. Since, those pastries were delicious!”

“I bought lemon bars and macrons from Jaded Desserts. I was so impressed with the presentation and professionalism. Just beautiful. The macarons were a gift to my sister-in-law and she was just thrilled and the flavors were delicious. The lemon bars are the best I have ever tasted. I recommend this business 100%.”

“As with all things COVID, our wedding was nothing but unpredictable -- and with 2 weeks notice, Shruthi was so easy to work with and created the most stunning cake we could have imagined. When we first reached out, she was quick to respond and helped us understand the various pros and cons of going with different fillings and frosting options. We ended up going with a 2-tier white cake with mango mousse filling + a small layer of white chocolate and buttercream frosting for the outside. On the day of our ceremony, the cake was so good our photographer had to kindly stop us from devouring it right then and there! The flavors were spot on, the sweetness was perfect, and the design was so elegant - we couldn't have been happier with Shruthi's workmanship! If you ever need a cake (especially custom cakes), Shruthi is exactly who you need to speak to - her talent and pure passion for cakes shine through in each and every bite. Thank you Shruthi!”

“Bright coffee shop with alternative milk options and breakfast/brunch. Came here on a Sunday around 11am and there were indoor and outdoor seats available. Credit card only (no cash accepted). You pay at the counter and then you’ll receive a number. You can do work here too, but most of the people seemed to be there to socialize. They had some ready made pastries but I would suggest asking them to heat up the display ones (it’ll take your croissant to the next level). It’s an additional $1.25 if you want oat milk in your latte. I got a matcha latte and it did its job. Note that the smoothie bowl does come with a nut butter blended in it. It’s actually pretty filling, so you could ask for a cold drink cup to take the rest of it to-go. Overall the vibes are chill and it’s a cute cafe/coffee shop.”

“This donut place had the best cinnamon donuts they were fresh. My sister she didn't have a fresh pastry she bought the apple fritter it was hard and burnt on the bottom. She was the one who wanted to try this business. She won't be back because the lady had to know it was burnt, when she gave my sister the apple fritter. I touched it was hard as a rock. She didn't go back because we were press for time. Are Dad pass away and we were cleaning out his place and had to get back so there was no time.”

“Although it's now called Atlas Cafe, Eko cafe in downtown Hayward is essentially the same as it was when we lived here 8 years ago! They make great traditional crepes, traditional in that the layers are thin and plentiful, not in flavors. This s'mores option really hit the spot, especially because of the graham cracker bits' crunch sprinkled in there with the melted marshmallow, cookie butter, and chocolate. Great cafe for working, too, especially on a sunny afternoon.”

“Found this hole in the wall mom and pop shop and it was decent. Got the tostilocos which disappointing because they put pickled pork strips in it and I had no idea because it wasn’t in the picture posted and I don’t eat pork. Also got the Sandia Loca which was packed with a variety of fruits, peanuts, and tamarind bits covered in chamoy sauce. I purchased some conchas and was disappointed at how stale and hard they were, definitely tasted like they were a few days old. The elote in a cup was perfect. Had the right amount of mayonnaise, lime juice, tajin and cheese. I will definitely go back for the fruit bowls and the elote. Customer service was great and staffs were friendly.”

“Macaroon Land exceeded my expectations! I had no picture to really go off on to show Azi as I wanted Hennessy themed macaroons for my 21st birthday, and nobody had really done it before. She did such an amazing job with each macaroon and you can really tell that she puts so much time and effort into each one. They all tasted amazing and looked so good with my theme!! She even added the Hennessy edible paper for me as an extra touch which was so sweet :)”
