“This place does a lot of things well, and here's my take after 4 visits. If this is your shop: anything that comes across as critical is only one person's opinion, but I'm a good customer, so hopefully it's constructive! Donuts: 10/10. Great taste, fair prices, enough variety in the standards. Breakfast Sammies: 10/10. Really good value, mine have been tasty and wholesome, real food. Customer service: 9/10. Very efficient gal you have there, and kind. Probably room for some extra smiles, but on the whole, very pleased.Also, when she got my drink order wrong, she replaced it with a graceful attitude. Decor: 5/10. The myriads of drink posters on the wall look dated and are kinda confusing...but honestly, who cares?! Boba tea: 5/10. Here's where the real room for improvement and satisfaction lie. The tea itself has tasted weak to me, both times I've ordered a black or green tea based drink. I wanna taste the leaves! The easiest upgrade might be to the ice cubes--perhaps some pellets or small cubes. The current ones seem just the same as come from my freezer at home! It's not just aesthetic either, smaller cubes will blend better with the drink toppings for a better in-straw distribution. Lastly, I know it would require new machinery, but eventually the sticker top sealer really does a lot for the whole experience. If you update the tea, let me know...I'll be there 2-3 times a week instead of once a month!”

“Probably one of the best donuts I've ever had. They are soft and fresh with the perfect amount of crunch. Flavorful and not overly sweet. Delicious drinks. Friendly staff. You're definitely going to pay a little bit of a premium price and I wish the seating area was more geared towards hanging out since it's a pretty cool space. My group of 3 split 5 donuts. Here's my list from favorite to least favorite according to my personal taste Buttermilk Meyer lemon Chocolate Glaze Vegan Coconut Bibinka Banafee Overall I recommended trying this place. If you're local and have a Meyer Lemon tree, bring a bag or a crate worth and you'll get some free donuts!”

“I visited on Day 2 of them being open. The selection was terrific. All the pastries and breads looked beautiful. I chose for my lunch an egg salad sandwich from the cold case. The selection there was a little skimpy, but it is only Day 2, so maybe it will increase. I had also a raspberry fruit bite pastry, which was a perfect little treat after lunch. I definitely will be back to try more of their items. The ham and cheese croissant looked particularly good as a lunch option, or even breakfast. In addition to the baked goods and food, they offer coffee, espresso drinks and teas.”

“5 stars because of the Bakery and the Delta view provided at this venue. Frankly most of Antioch is a place where one must often look over their shoulder — at least at Monica’s one can be at ease. The food is delicious, the staff while often a bit stretched is friendly & courteous, it has a diverse arrangement of places to dine and drink. The fire pits can be enjoyable on a chilly night or day especially with a drink in hand! While you may full indulgent don't let that hinder the good time to be had. They have live music which draws a crowd but that is great if your trying to enjoy an evening or socializing. Sundays are very busy after 10 a.m. onward. The bakery while not open Monday’s offers throughout the rest of the week a fine array of decadent treats that would make your trainer blush. It handily puts the competition in its place. A fine place indeed, that provides an escape which in my estimation is worth every penny!”

“Seemed to be authentic Oaxaquenian food. I had a one-meat Tlayuda, like a huge tostada of refried beans, shredded lettuce, lots of shredded Quesilla cheese and a bit of guacamole. Also a smallish piece of grilled beef that was tender but very dry like jerky. The salsa was flavorful and on the hot side. The dish was OK but I probably wouldn't order it again. Also tried a couple things from the bakery side and they were fresh and tasty. Service was good. Bathroom was clean. Seemed like the servers and most of the customers spoke Spanish. If I was in the neighborhood again I'd stop in and try something else. Since other reviews mention waiting too long for the food to arrive, I should say the food came in a very reasonable time.”

“Maison Matho is the perfect spot for a quick weekend brunch. It's in a rather unassuming location with just a couple small cafe tables You even order from a tiny counter but the food is well beyond the usual street corner window. All the ingredients are fresh, the eggs are cooked to perfection, the bread has just the right texture, croissants are layered and flakey and even the butter is shipped in from a European vendor. Definitely worth a visit for exquisite but casual French/Euro inspired cuisine. Prices are very reasonable. Parking is a bit tricky but available on side streets. Be ready for a bit of a line/wait but absolutely worth it.”

Not like your over priced fancy cookies that are pretty but tasteless and heartless like a Kardashian or Miss’s Fields Cookies. These are full of flavor, round, crave killing like Beyonce or Lizzo or cookies ya grandma made! Well my grandma is filipino and made other desserts, but you get my point. “Of all the gourmet cookie places that I have been to this is THE place.The Cookie Jar makes the best tasting cookie hands down. We visited it today and were pleasantly surprised by how beautiful and esthetic that the store is inside. The cookies were perfectly shaped. They were cooked and seasoned to perfection and the proprietor was there to kindly greet us. The cookies were $8.00 for three huge cookies. I bought a wonderful strawberry cheesecake cookie, a chocolate chip cookie and a pecan cookie. I hope that they are able to open other stores soon. And that people come from far and wide to buy those beautiful cookies!”
