We got three flavours : Strawberry Cheesecake, Blueberry Cheesecake and Vanilla Bean, and they were all so delicious. My daughter’s name on them was the cherry on top, everyone raved about how amazing that was! We served them not only as dessert, but as party favours as well. The staff at Starbucks bog bear deal with the nastiest and coldest customers in California maybe. Some weeks it doesn't slow down. Busy days here and there elsewhere but here it goes for weeks. “My husband and I were driving back to Sacramento airport from Lake Tahoe and took a detour ending up on route 49. Looking to kill some time, we stopped at the Tin Roof tasting room which we found beyond enchanting. Our expectations were not high based on the modest storefront but we entered into an oenophile oasis! We left feeling overwhelmed with the quality of the wine, the knowledge and charm of the host and the eclectic clientele. This is a must stop when driving on Highway 49. We will be back!”

“Copying from my Yelp(: My first full day in LA and I saw a review was written two hours ago (Yelp) so that implied the spot was new. Self proclaimed boba connoisseur me knew I had to try it and cross it off my list. I had a few boba spots before this so I formed some expectation of LA boba (compared to Seattle). I had the chance to talk to the owner and he is extremely friendly, welcoming, and kind. He also went out of his way to hand another customer their order outside. Service is fantastic and I hope it stays that way as they continue to thrive during their new opening. The prices right now are 3.49 and 3.99 for a regular and large which is absurdly cheap. The fact that durian, avocado, and papaya drinks are also the same price is insane, I don't think I can stress the value enough because those flavors will be 1.5x the price if not more than regular boba at other places. Chewy, soft boba but not much flavor so there's room for improvement but given the fact that it was free (promotion) and the store is new, I'm cutting some slack especially as the drink was solid. House Milk Tea was recommended but I later learned that's because the Pandan Milk Tea was out and that was the owners(?) number one pick. House Milk Tea tasted like a Hong Kong style milk tea but slightly different with a thick black tea flavor. Strong choice for a boba lover. I also tried the Strawberry Mojito which was a refreshing, sweet strawberry with a hint of lemon or lime for a small sourness (not overwhelming or overly obvious). Light drink that I'd order on a hot or warm day. Come support local and new! Talk to the owner and give suggestions too, I'm sure he'd appreciate it and that he wants to continue to improve and accommodate or appeal to everyone.”

One thing that always bugged me about the sit up (or sit in) counter was that the wall was too high. If you sit at the counter, you're basically staring at a wall. Consider add some small LCD screens? Or maybe the menu? Just a thought... Love the brightly colored menu with photos that makes selection far easier. We have only ordered the boba teas from here, which are excellent but I intend to try the food as well. They have everything from Tempura Shrimp to Crispy Tofu. Had a taste of an espresso and it was MUCH better than the "trendy chain place that likes creepy fish women" espresso. I had a Lofty-Style Nola cold brew and and it was a good coffee flavor and was very very good. I also had the Organic Acai Bowl and all the ingredients were fresh and the bowl was worth getting. My group had a variety of their other coffees and everyone had positive feed back. The french toast was not something I bought, but a friend in the group did and they wouldn't shut up about it...seriously. 😉 Come in with expectations of good coffee and good food and you will leave happy. Value for the cost. Cheap is cheap but good is worth what it costs and this place is the latter.”

I tried the chicken (pollo con papas y chili) and the corn tamale (elote). I was surprised to find out my chicken tamale was also stuffed with potatoes and green chilies since they simply tell you it's a pollo tamale. That was such an awesome deal! They were 2/$5 and they were available pretty early in the morning, I think around 10 am. The masa (flour) was beautifully well-done. Soft and moist on the inside while maintaining a firm texture. Salted perfectly. Chicken had awesome flavor. Potatoes were firm and the way they were cooked matched the texture of the chicken and chilies delightfully. I haven't tried the other offerings at Continental but I would gladly go back. The ladies behind the counter were so very kind to the customers, too! I loved it and hope to return soon.”

For example, only the Strawberry Smoothie is served here. And the tables are not frequently cleaned. 10/31/2017 Update- tried the labor-intensive Limited Time Zombie Frappuccino for Halloween. Cool thing is the barista is upfront that it takes longer for her to make one of these. If you aren't in a hurry, good place to order one compared to a standard Starbucks because both the barista and other customers as we are all waiting do spend time happily chatting and socializing about the drink, what it is made off and what does it taste like. 11/17/2017 Update-this place has high chairs!
