Service could be friendlier, but it’s overall not bad. This place is consistently busy at lunch and dinner hours. Great go-to burger joint. The one downside (and maybe it was just especially bad today) is their Ahi Tuna Filet. It makes the restaurant STINK! Like rotten hard boiled eggs type stink. It’s rather off-putting. I’d much rather smell the burgers and bacon.”

“I came here with 4 friends on a Friday evening and it wasn't crowded. I did a phone reservation a few days before. We ordered margherita pizza and 3 pasta dishes of the following: Spaghettini Con Anatra (homemade spaghettini with duck ragu sauce), Spaghetti Alla Carbonara Romana (spaghetti with pork cheeks & egg) & Fetuccine Al Funghi (hand cut egg noodles w/ portobella & porcini mushrooms). I was glad that my friends and I shared all the pasta dishes to try a few bites from each. I love that their pasta is hand made. Each pasta is also al dente (chewy & firm). The duck ragu pasta dish was pretty light in flavor but still flavorful with the duck. The mushrooms were juicy and fresh and the egg noodles were wonderful. The carbonara dish was quite rich and creamy in flavor but its crispy bacon and peppery taste balanced out the richness from the cheese. The pizza was also delicious with the thin crust and char from wood fire. It was juicy from the tomatoes & cheesy. The pesto sauce was also a nice extra touch to the pizza. I tried their nectarine & silican almond for gelato this time. Nectarine tasted just like the fruit and it was refreshing. The almond was quite nutty. I also recommend their focaccia bread and pistachio gelato. I was sad that they didn't have pistachio gelato this time since I usually get that when I have visited Bulgarini the past few times. As someone who loves pistachios, their pistachio gelato is one of the best I have tasted in LA area. 😊😋”

“This place is the only all you can eat AYCE dumpling restaurant I saw in San Gabriel. It's a small hole in a wall mom and pop shop and you can even see an elderly couple making the dumplings when you enter the restaurant. The place is small. When I came in, no one spoke english. One of the waitress came with a translator machine and that was the first time I communicated with one of the staff. Someone came over and put a pot of boiling water on the portable stove on our table. We are given a big tray with ladle. The dumplings are on trays of 8 pcs and I thought we have to grab each tray. I was wrong. I grabbed 5 trays of different dumplings so I got full adter eating 40. I didn't know that I need to use the BIG tray that is put on the table with a big ladle. You will use that tray to pick the dumplings you want from the freezer and put it on your tray. You will then boil these dumplings until they float. Wait for a few more minutes to cook the internal of the dumplings. There are also some appetizers like kimchi, eggplant, bean sprouts and fish balls on the other side of the freezer. There are black, red vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, sesame oil and chili oil that you can mix for the dumpling sauce. The dumplings are delicious and fresh. We tried their beef, shrimp and vegetable dumplings. This place is worth it if you have the big appetite to eat dumplings. But they have a limit. Only 1 hour for AYCE dumplings.”

And the folks working there are so nice, I almost wanted to invite them over for a pizza party. But be warned, don't burn your mouth. The pizza is hot and delicious, but you don't want to end up with a burnt tongue like I did. It's not a good look. And the employees are so busy, you know they're making fresh pizzas all day long. Giovanni's Old World New York Pizzeria is a slice above the rest. Just be prepared to leave with a full belly and a smile on your face.”
