Allatoona Aquatics Base BSA

Address: 200 Lovingood Dr, Woodstock, GA 30189, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“We visited the camp grounds and stayed over night in site 6. The grounds are pretty spacious and most seem to be pretty level. It was pouring rain and thundering the night that we stayed but we had no issues. Note, there is only one real outhouse type bathroom area near the camp grounds that’s closer to sites 2 and 3. It’s a very nice bathroom though with motion lighting and kept very clean. Traveling to the restroom in the middle of the night through is not for the faint of heart so be prepared. There are a lot of water based merit badge opportunities available for the scouts including swimming, canoeing and sailing. Everyone there seems friendly and helpful. For example we were able to switch sites the day we arrived without issue since the site we were scheduled for was pretty muddy. Anyway we enjoyed our stay and recommend visiting for a fun scouting adventure”

“We camp here every year for a week or two. This year, we showed up unexpectedly (we arrived a day early), and the campground worked very hard to accommodate us so we wouldn't have to turn around and head somewhere else. So very nice and professional. I love it here so much. The views, the lake, we bring our bikes and kayaks and have the best time.”

Peachtree City Dog Park

Address: 193 McIntosh Trail, Peachtree City, GA 30269, USA

“We've been bringing our dogs here for a few years. We bring them here so they can run. Sometimes that's hard to do when you live in a subdivision. The city does a good job with the upkeep. There are several areas for different sized dogs. Our dogs always enjoy themselves at this dog park. There is handicap parking right beside the park if you drive down the path, otherwise you park at the top of the hill and walk down. I tried to include detailed pictures of the path, handicap parking, and all three dog areas.”

Hiram Trail Head

“Hot this time of year but still more shaded than most trails! Bring water but plenty of restroom stops if you need it.”
