“I’m currently eating the best Thai food I’ve had in my 20 years of sampling thai…and most of it is veg/vegan. The sling took a bit, but worth the wait! Get the Ganesha Larb. We also had Panang curry and it was the best curry I’ve ever had slightly margining Cafe Za, Eri Cushing’s thaii curry. The Pad Kee Mao flavor was fantastic but could have had a little extra heat - get some extra chilis too. Mahalo”

“The fries were excellent. My burger was very tasty, they’re patty itself was very flavorful. It almost becomes too much though after a while. There bacon was also really good.”

“We love L&L. Typically they have great food and service. It was fine here as well. I love the mixed BBQ plate. You get a ton of meat and 2 scoops of rice and 1 scoop of macaroni salad, the best on the island. A great way to save on dining on Ohahu.”

“I've heard so much about this place! Finally got to try it and we ordered the top 2 entrees... prime rib and lechon kawali with garlic fried rice. Both were amazing! We ended our meal with a refreshing halo halo dessert. Yum!”

“20 of us were celebrating an uncle's birthday and we had decided on Chinese food for dinner. We regularly eat there in group and enjoy the food and the great service.”

“Super convenient cafeteria-style restaurant located inside the Filipino supermarket Seafood City. I'm addition, they have a grab-and-go refrigerated section with items like jelly pandan and flan, and a "street food" cart with pre-packages foods to go, like arroz caldo and various meats and desserts in a stick. They've also carved out a generous dining space, with widely spaced tables for four in front and on the side of the main buffet. Besides fountain drinks for purchase, they also provide a water cooler with cups for free water. My first-time selection was Laing, which is taro leaves cooked in coconut milk, to which they added shrimp. I got the smallest bowl, and they included one good-sized shrimp. I also was tempted by the grilled salmon, which turned out to be rather acidic and tart - in a good way, like sinigang. At first I thought the cost of the two dishes was rather pricey - around $20 - but realized I'd be getting three meals out of it, which makes it a good deal. While I prefer other Filipino restaurants in the area as my go-to, if you're already shopping in the store, it's not a bad place to grab lunch - portions can easily be shared by two small Asians lol.”

“We ordered 2 mixed plates and split them between 2 adults and 2 kids. We paid about $35. Shrimp & Steak, and Chicken & Pork. Starting with the Shrimp, it was hard to peel, and slightly over done. I will pass on their shrimp next time. The rest of our meal was top 10 of our favorites here on Oahu. The pork was sweet and succulent. The steak had a teriyaki flavor and was absolute perfection. The chicken had a hickory smoked vibe, leaving the whole family wanting more. Macaroni salad, regular salad and rice all standard fare and enjoyable.”

“Haven't had qQiznos in over a decade and thought they were all closed! Gotta say I was very impressed and this might be my new favorite sub place on base. It's tucked away next to the Dominos from the main shopping area on base next to the enlisted barracks. Service and food was great!”

“Great food as always, service is eh. Facility looks run down and one table was dirty when we got there. I asked to borrow the rag to wipe the table down, I wish she had made an effort to use the rag herself instead of handing it to me but she is young so maybe she doesn’t know better. You know how clean a facility is by the bathroom and it is really clean for such a small spot that gets a lot of traffic in and out. ZMost that matters is food is good and served HOT! Limited seating inside but a covered area outside has plenty of seating. I had chicken katsu with Mac salad and a scoop of rice. The mini was plenty of food for 1-1&1/2 people. The sauce that comes with the Katsu chicken is a great combo with the chicken, sort of a honey taste but very faint spice to it. The mini fried shrimp includes 4 shrimp a scoop of rice and Mac salad with a small scoop of chopped raw cabbage.”

“This is a great Panda Express (as are most). The dining area and parking are smaller than many others on the island, but still quite manageable. Food is always fresh and reasonably priced. Staff has always been quick and courteous.”

“Located within Waimea Valley, this place has the best fries I have ever had. Hurricane fries for $7. I'm in love with them. They stay crispy even after a couple of hours. I crave them every day. The musubi is only $3 too and it's very good.”

“The best Luau I've been too, and I've been to many. The location was absolutely beautiful, with the backdrop of the gorgeous Pacific Ocean and Diamond Head for sunset. The show was well put together, a great balance of entertainment throughout the evening. For dinner there was "storytelling" covering the history of the islands, with music, singing and Hula. Later, after we finished dinner, the show had a lot more energy, with Tahitian and fire knife dancing under a starry Hawaiian night sky. It was perfect! Dinner was Pacific Rim style. My kids, normally picky eaters, enjoyed the food, to my surprise. We traded a couple items but there was plenty, with nice presentation and great variety. My Mom has allergies and the chef prepared a delicious plate for her dietary restrictions. The staff did an amazing job. Our server, Grant, checked on us often was on top of any requests throughout the entire evening. The supervisor, Nicole, stopped by and took some photos of us to capture the memorable event. She was truly a joy, full of smiles and made us feel complete at ease. She was even able to find some fresh milk for my daughter. Aha 'Aina Luau was a perfect balance of entertainment, food, service for a great family event in a stunning location.”

“I was so impressed by this place! Everything I had was really good. Even though the lettuce was a little soggy, the Caesar salad was delicious! But the star appetizer was the Crispy Potato Guy (not sure how that got named.) The potatoes has such a nice texture and just enough sauce to add a little zing to it. We ordered the Truffle Pizza (it was the pizza of the week) and it was incredible. Such a unique mix of slightly sweet and savory. Highly recommend! Another favorite of mine is the Carbonara Pizza, but the Hot Honey was also really good. In addition to the Truffle Pizza, their MB Old Fashioned was phenomenal! It's honestly my favorite Old Fashioned of any I've tried. Also, my waitress, G, was fantastic!! She explained everything on the menu, gave suggestions, and checked up on me often. Will be back for sure! And often.”

“Heard great things about North Shore Tacos so took the trip to the North Shore for some highly recommend tacos and it was great! Went with the fiance for our first time visiting Honolulu and would definitely recommend it. Fish tacos were excellent. Pineapple salsa was a hit as well and the drink menu was excellent.”

“Amazing Thai food. Everything was delicious. Excellent service. Seating outside our take on the go! Their name is misleading though. Google says Thong's Thai but the name on their wagon is Fasay Thai Wagon!”

“We had sushi 8 times in 5 days while we were here and Aloha Sushi was our last stop before going home. My girls have it a 10/10. Shumai was terrific, the Superman Maki roll was the best roll we got. Very good value. Not a lot of place to sit, but we found a spot and enjoyed our last mea before we go home. Aloha will definitely be on the list for next trip”

“I generally attend once every week they are open during the semester and I have been doing that for several semesters. I have never been served anything that I would ever consider describing as "cafeteria food"! There have been glitches that I attribute to young people learning food preparation, presentation, and customer service but I don't think you can find food as deliciously well-prepared for the price anywhere else in Honolulu. Plus, one gets to support young people preparing for work in food services. Enjoying food this good while allowing program participants to hone their skills in culinary/restaurant practices is one of those rare activities that benefits everyone involved.”

“Got the Tripe stew and I was really impressed at how good it was. It's not as tomato-y as other places, and that's what I prefer. Plus, the views are really nice, and you can play a few rounds before or after eating. It was a little on the pricey side, though.”

“We stopped here after doing the Jurassic UTV tour. Robert and his wife run the little small restaurant. They were very nice and accommodating. The food was so good! It was four of us and each of us had a different item on the menu. We tried everything from each other's plate and everything was so yummy. We had the quesadilla, the Mac and cheese bites, the beef plate and the shrimp plate. All so freakin delicious!! The place doesn't look like much but it's definitely worth the stop.”

“Ordered the three course Prix-Fixe and enjoyed every bite. The flavors were highly complex, thoughtfully executed, and balanced. The service was excellent before we even reached the door as they held it open for us and welcomed us. Our server, Norman, was attentive and professional but also had a personal touch. The support staff could be seen everywhere, filling glasses and checking on meals, so there was never a missed opportunity to order another cocktail or ask about the menu. The open kitchen was running smoothly and quietly even during the busy dinner hours. Lastly, they brought us some wonderful berry tarts for free as a congratulations for visiting on our honeymoon.”

“I visited Kahuku Farms for the first time last week with a couple of friends. I had a wonderful time there. The experience I had there was one that I have been searching for since coming to Hawaii. It is chill, the workers are kind, and there is an overall calm at the farm. Amazing staff and wonderful place. The food can be pricey but you are paying for quality and freshness. I ordered a smoothie and it was great.”

“This place is just awesome. We (accidentally) came for Happy Hour. We had some great drinks. The poke taco appetizer was fresh and delicious. The coconut clam chowder was hearty with huge chunks of potato, and with a bit of a Thai spin with the coconut milk. The bread they served on the side was so fluffy and nice. The lobster deviled eggs were okay, but I'd skip them in future - plenty of lobster, but too much yolk without a lot of interesting seasoning. The service was A+. I ended with an amazing Hazy IPA from Beerlab. We will come back for lunch in a couple days.”

“A taste from home and great find! I’m so glad we ran into this place. Didn’t know if we would find a Brazilian community in Hawaii. The pastel de queijo was delicious and the coxinha wasn’t dry. The guaraná was so refreshing and it’s the best refri in the world. Definitely recommend, especially if you’ve never Brazilian food or drinks. Muitoooo obrigada! 💙💛💚”

“Stopped at this unassuming shop for a drink and I'm so glad i did. Along with having freshly cut coconut they have some great spicy shrimp. Perhaps the best thing is the back of the shop is along a small river which has sea turtles along the banks. They offer kayaks and paddle boards for rent.. Great little stop to make when your going to the North shore.”

Food was ok but some items a bit overcooked... Mgr was attentive to our concerns... Drinks were great Margherita's n Sangria's ...”
