Due to the intimate nature of our counseling, he verified that my wife was okay talking to a male counselor. He made her feel safe and made us both comfortable enough to open up. “We were looking for a church that teaches sound doctrine from the Bible first and foremost. Plusses would be a congregation that isn't all in their 20's or all in their 90's but a range of ages from 0 to 100+. We wanted a church that is passionate about Jesus and carrying out the great commission, i.e. mission minded. A good worship band is a nicety but not a necessity. We have found all of the above and more at The Rock Church. We were greeted before we got in the door and while we had arrived early, got so caught up in meeting people, we thought we might be late for the sermon. Worship was amazing. They play contemporary songs, but some are older contemporary...we knew all but one song and loved singing them all. This church teaches topically rather than book by book which we were used to in our last church, but Pastor Shawn knocked it out of the park with his first sermon (of the series) on corporate prayer today. By the end I was quite convicted (not guilted) and honestly wished he'd just keep teaching. I'd say we can't wait until next Sunday, but we don't have to, as they also have small groups and prayer meetings throughout the week so we'll be checking those out in the coming days. In summary, I'd say we (my wife and I) highly recommend this church to anyone looking for the above.”

“This school is such a unique high school, and while it is not for everyone, it is certainly an exemplary school for scholars who treasure education and a challenge. Once those who did not quite belong at such a school had come to the realization and left, what students remained were academic, passionate, intelligent, and mature. The teachers legitimately cared about our education and went above and beyond in every regard to give us the education we needed, and are some of the most competent people I know. Renaissance is what unarguably prepared me for my future of attending an ivy league institution, and I do not regret attending this high school for a second.”

But, if you end up needing a periodontist I hope you call Dr. Hansen. Truly, Dr. Hansen and his staff are incredible. Dr. Hansen has amazing bedside manor and his skill and results are exceptional. He (and staff) are all so compassionate, respectful, kind, and were willing to take time to listen/explain/and educate. Dr. Hansen and his staff go above and beyond.
