“I loved this place! Pat was a wonderful hostess! My party only stayed one night - we were passing through for the Longest Yard Sale. It is a working ranch and there are a bunch of sheep - I don't know if we were allowed to pet them or not (we didn't ask or try). There were two outdoor Great Pyrenees mixes to protect these sheep. The pictures on the website really does represent the rooms well, except the master suite is even more stunning in-person. One thing about the prices listed on the website - the two regular bedrooms are actually $85 each, as of Aug 2018. To get to the place, we had to drive through a bunch of weaving roads, which makes it optimal if you want to get away. There is no Wi-Fi or internet (we did get phone reception, so I was still able to check FB) but I believe Pat had mentioned that there is regular TV channels - she doesn't watch much TV, and we didn't need it as we were conversing. She did have a firepit in the backyard but there was an underground hive, while we were there, so we stayed inside. You do have to call Pat at Ragtime to check her availability - she told us that she won't take any guests when her ewes are lambing (I hope I got all the terminology correct - hehe). And you most likely have to leave a message - she works on her ranch on horseback during the day but she does return calls quickly. We really enjoyed our stay and would totally recommend this place!!!”

“Great little park. Has its draw backs. Quiet 90% of the time. Really noisy on any Holiday...fireworks galore! :( Pet friendly( no fences or tying out your dogs)...leash law..animal control will pick up unleashed dogs. Playyard/ Park maintained...great for younger kids. Big field that older kids play soccer ⚽️ in.”

“We recently stayed at Edge of Speedway and enjoyed it. It's quiet,peaceful and convenient. Just a mile or so from 71. I0 miles south is Carrollton with a Walmart, Kroger grocery store and several restaurants. Also, can't say enough nice things about Judy and her husband. We would definitely recommend it to family and friends. Stop by and stay awhile”

“Edgewater @ Taylorsville Lake is so dope! Good vibes! With the low rates for big cottages it is so worth driving a few miles outside of lexington or Louisville. Fresh country air and very peaceful. The views over the Lake are breathtaking! Management is awesome! (Shout out Bethany 👊🏻) The pool was crystal clear and the hot tubs were just what you need after a good day fishing on Taylorsville Lake”

“I was here for about a week quite some time ago while doing work at Ft Knox and I am just now getting around to writing a review. I had my fiance and our daughter visit and everything was great. They let my 4 yr old daughter harass their goats as much as she wanted. Breakfast was made to order. My fiance is black and I'm whiter than most so we were a little apprehensive about a place called 'southern charm' in Kentucky but there were no issues whatsoever. It was very charming and I'll definitely be staying here the next time I have to work at Ft Knox. A little side note: I found the available/unavailable dates on the website a little confusing when I was reserving so I just called and the owner walked me through it.”

“Excellent stay! Thank you Denice for all your help! Super friendly staff! Location Location Location! Plus a Wonderful Lake and Fishing was Fun! Grounds kept clean and manicured, and the price was reasonable. Cons: 1 Odd number sites water and electricity hook ups are shared so they are on front side. Bring electrical and water extensions, 2 No picnic tables and fire pits at your site, there is a huge firepit near the lake, very nice, few picnic tables near the lake but they go fast. We Will Be Back!”

“My family just stayed on the farm as we were passing through and what a fun filled time we had! Having three kids, traveling anywhere gets tiring for them and this was a relief for them to get out, run around and check out the animals. Amanda and Bill are awesome hosts! They taught and showed our kids about the animals some of the property and Amanda gave us a tour riding the atv around the property to see the cows. They are so welcoming and kind, that my kids hated to leave, they consider her family now! And this was only one day! Definitely a place to go for a peaceful and fun stay away from home.”

“Love this motel. The owners are friendly and efficient. Even though it is close to Dixie Hwy, the outside noise is not that bad. We do hear the neighbors walk around above us, but that is about it. My family stays every weekend. Our room is always clean and ready when we checkin. We stay in the 2 bedroom suite, and the convenience of having a kitchen and living room is great. I definitely recommend staying.”

“The motel was in a good location. Restaurants, gas stations and a hospital were close. The staff did everything they could to make your stay comfortable. They did little things like a night light in the bathroom and using the conference room as an over flow area for the dining area. There was not a lot of noise to keep you awake during the night. The only negative was the young lady at the desk in the evenings who was more interested in her cell phone than greeting guests. She rarely smiled or spoke.”

“** This is the same place as Cincinnati south, not sure why 2 listings so I will copy my review for the same place just a slightly different name** This is a great little campground. I love the fact it is a true campground not a place full of people living here year round. The grounds are kept very nice and tidy. The pond is a nice place to go for a walk with the dogs and cast a fishing rod. There is a small dated playground but at least it is somewhere for the kids to play. The desk person was extremely nice as was the person who escorted us to the campsite. The sites are fairly level and rain drainage is great considering it has been raining for days there are no puddles to deal with. The laundry room was clean and had 5 washers and very fast drying vintage dryers. The bathhouse was extremely clean and in good working order. The key elements to a campground were met: clean, safe, level, good power, good water pressure, clean laundry room, clean bathhouse and a VERY reasonable price for water/electric. Now the downside is the train. It is about 50 yards from our site (we were 1 of the closest sites). However, we use the fan all night and keep the windows closed, so it drowns out the noise. But if you are a light sleeper or in a pop up/canvas sided camper you may have issues. The highway is close as well so you do hear the highway but only when outside walking around. For us that is a non issue. It is easy on and off the highway and gas stations nearby which makes it a great stop over place for a few days to visit the area and the Ark. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area.”
