“GREAT brisket sandwich fixed all the way with slaw and pickles. The beans were good but it was a very small portion. I added a small side of Mac and cheese and it was good but nothing over the top. Service was good and fast and I was there during the lunch hour rush. Parking fills up quick. All in all it was definitely place worth going to. The sand which was more than enough but the sauce was the BOSS! Price was a little high for me, but it was good enough that I’ll stop here again!”

“The food was delicious & the atmosphere & weather was nice. The staff was mostly wearing masks the tables were spaced out. The layout of tge Restaurant is spacious & goes open to the outside balcony. The hostesses were nice. Our waitress was okay. We had asked for a couple of things that were missing, utensils & napkins a couple of times. And then had asked for butter for the crackers & she said would check on & never heard back & when we asked her again she said none available as they only had a large ball of it. Not sure what that meant but she could of came back & just let us know. The manager was very nice & had taken care of a misunderstanding at the end. The oysters were delicious & my favorite flavor was the Rockefeller. Their chargrilled looked delicious as well since my friends got that. The oyster prices were market price & kinda high but guess from the pandemic's affect was why. We also had the fried catfish & shrimp platter with fries & that was very good as well. Forgot to take a pic. The Bloody Mary's were spicy good too.?”

“Cute little place uptown!!! This is such a gem, great music, happy hour specials everyday with a great staff. You must try the blueberry margarita, it is flavorful and refreshing. The salsa is fresh and has an amazing flavor-spicy and sweet. The tortillas for the tacos have the loveliest crunch! Chicken street tacos are delish!! If you ask, you can order a side of fried oysters ( just don’t tell them I told you) My favorite dessert is the white chocolate bread pudding . It is big enough to share. !! You can’t go wrong with any of the cheesecakes. The salads were fresh and full of flavor! Definitely will go back! Oh and don’t think this chain is the same everywhere, they are not. The veggie omelette was amazing I've ordered it several times and I love the hashbrowns. Great Hot Fresh Coffee!! I recently ordered the castle burgers and it was 8AM and they were hot and fresh!! I could go on, but you should go see. I will say I would like a better portion on my grits and egg breakfast it seemed like a kid's plate. ALL IN ALL nobody is making donuts better than Gerald's it's very easy for me to taste their dough is fresh and NEVER has a sour dough taste which means old dough....Oh...Those onion rings are YUMMY!!!??”

I ordered two entrees last night and was blown away by the portions; we will definitely have leftovers for a few days. ;) Both my husband and I were taken back by the taste of every item on our plates. The taste alone gives this restaurant above 5 stars, in our opinion! Besides the food, the staff was also super friendly. I enjoy businesses where I can walk inside and not only immediately get acknowledged but more importantly where I’m also greeted with a genuine smile (big even to shine through those face masks). The cashier who assisted me did just that. In addition, she made me instantly feel at home by striking up a small friendly conversation with me, as she prepared my receipt! This is one small local restaurant who has earned my family’s business ..... for a lifetime!!! Thanks again to the amazing staff & owners @ Jasmines on the Bayou.
