“Wonderful people, fast friendly service, and always with a smile. I could spend every holiday there. The best home cooked meals, served fresh and hot. Clean and quaint right down to the well behaved dog. Chrissy the hostess can put you in stitches laughing, or talk serious politics. Keith the host is a slice of down home Americana, who's hobbies range from horse back riding to shooting paper targets at one of the local gun shops nearby. My number one choice for when I'm looking for peace and quiet, and want to fall asleep listening to waves lapping on the shore. I could sit for hours in the sun looking out over the ocean at the countries only twin lighthouses ... Thank you Rocky Shores”

“Our suite was great and extremely comfortable and homey. I was not a breakfast person, but Deb has certainly given me a new prospective and appreciation. This meal is served with wonderful attention to detail and a smile. Both mornings were excellent and started the day off on a high . Jim knows so much about the area and what might be of interest and how to find the easiest ways to get around. Thanks to you three for making "another birthday" memorable.! All that and a nor'easter too!”

“If you want a beautiful view this is the.place. Your deck is literally above the ocean as the tide goes in and out right under your feet. Staff was courteous and the room is clean and comfortable. The one suggestion I would have for improvement would be a small drink table between the deck chairs, but that is just a very small thing. We had a marvelous time staying here.”

“A wonderfully delightful bed and breakfast, right on the coast. A short walk from bearskin neck and yet, it's far enough away to have some distance from tourists. My partner and I stayed hear one night on a whim and loved it. Their assistant manager is a chef by trade and makes a great breakfast. Definitely try this place out.”

The Quarterdeck Inn By The Sea

Address: 123 Granite St, Rockport, MA 01966, USA

Lodging

“Located in a rather quiet residential area, this Inn has breathtaking views of the water. We stayed in the Oriental room on the second floor. There is a small deck to the side of the room, but we didn't make much use of it due to the weather still being a bit cold. A small TV w/ satellite is available in the room (everything shuts down really early in that part MA, so it helps to have something to watch at night). The owner, Randy, is a really likeable and friendly guy and took the time to go over various restaurants and areas of attraction. He doesn't serve breakfast at the Inn but does have arrangements for guests to obtain free and discounted breakfasts elsewhere. Given the cost per night, I would have liked a little more fluff (breakfast on-site and better housekeeping), but I still would recommend staying here for the views and the very friendly host.”

Emerson Inn

Address: 1 Cathedral Ave, Rockport, MA 01966, USA

Lodging Restaurant

“We had our wedding at the Emerson Inn in early November. We can’t say enough wonderful things about the whole experience. The Inn is beautiful with gorgeous ocean views, but maintains a relaxed and homey vibe, which is absolutely perfect. We had exclusive use of the inn for our guests and everyone commented on how much they loved their time there. The whole weekend felt so personal and “like us,” and didn’t feel like a cookie cutter type of wedding whatsoever. The food was OUTSTANDING. Many people shared with us how much they liked the buffet that we had. Even the breakfasts were terrific each morning! And lastly, Candice (the event coordinator) was amazing to work with. She thought of everything and made our wedding day feel seamless and special. We will be returning to the Emerson Inn for years to come!!”
