“This place is so cool. We decided to check out this place for lunch. It's has such relaxed vibe to it. It's super simple to use your phone to start your tab and they bring everything to your table. People check in on you and clear your table. The beer is delicious. Their salads are so yummy. I recommend the Bright Penny salad with shaved beef. Their pizza is so good too. We got the Mash potato pizza. Think a loaded mashed potato on pizza. Sounds weird, but it works! Oh my goodness...I have to talk about the deviled eggs. They offer a variety of deviled eggs and you can order flights of eggs. They were so damn good, y'all. You can eat indoors or choose from a seat out on the deck, or picnic table on the lawn, or a table in the beirgarten area. A super nice place to spend a Saturday afternoon. Check this place out.”

“This is the kind of place you almost want to keep a secret because it's so good! My friend and I both had the seafood platter and it was so fresh,so plentiful, I couldn't believe it. It isn't a chain, it's the real thing, a mom and pop restaurant evident by the homey decor and local clientele. The next table ordered cheeseburger platters and they looked good too. We elected to throw different axes and styles, but we'll do a competition next time (as well as a little knife throwing). The fire was nice too, since it was cool and windy outside. China Tokyo and Wendi at the front counter are always friendly and my favorite part is that they always get my order exactly as I like it! China Tokyo is fast and has great price points with quality food! This has been my go to restaurant for just under a year. On my second order they got it wrong and then again on my third order. I talked to them and told them in a very friendly and polite manner that I would love to continue doing business with them but was particular about getting my order the way I requested and for certain items to be left out of my dish. They were very receptive and since that time, almost one year ago, my order has never been wrong. For local Asian cuisine I highly recommend China Tokyo!”

“The food was good. It does not look like your typical Mexican restaurant inside. More like a cafeteria. Fried chicken chimichanga was good. The king burrito was awesome! Sounds weird to have fries inside a burrito, but it was delicious. The fajitas were a lot of food. So much infact, there are not enough tortillas that come with it. I will take that problem any day! “This food truck is a hidden gem! I ordered the Mini Quesadilla with chicken and Sope Campechanco with homemade Horchata to drink. As I waited for my food, the line of customers grew longer, confirming my belief that I had made the right choice. Something was bringing a lot of people to this food truck, so I was eager to try it for myself. While I was waiting, I took a sip of my giant horchata (they use huge cups!). It was so refreshing and I drank it all afternoon. Once I received my food, I opened the tray to the delicious aroma of Mexican spices and cheese. The meats were perfectly seasoned and tender, and the toppings were super fresh. But my absolute favorite part was the rich corn flavor of the sope base. As I scarfed bite after bite, I watched the empty tables fill with workers, businessmen, and random passersby. Everyone was thoroughly enjoying their food and the sunny day. I will definitely be returning!”

“My wife and I were in here this past Sunday to celebrate our anniversary and we almost didn't go due to the bad reviews we saw here and elsewhere but figured we should give it a shot. And I'm glad we did. Ryan was our waiter and did a great job with everything. The portions were great and the prices very reasonable. The only negative thing I can say was that one of the sides my wife ordered came out cold but Ryan took care of that quick, so that can be overlooked. All in all, it was a good experience and when up in the area again, we'd enjoy going back.”

I ordered online through doordash for pick up and had to call in to modify my order since the app didn’t allow special requests. “This place is just sitting out there and you're missing out! It's a small tidy place with 10-12 tables seating at most 48 - 52 seatings available. All very close to each other for server to take care of you. I got here for lunch and for $10 after taxes (before tipping) for my Lunch portion of hibachi Steak and chicken that comes with rice, mix veggies, and tea with an option side that comes with soup or salad. I got the salad quick. While munching on that. My entree came out a few minutes after. It was simple, but cleaned and fresh! Plenty of ginger dressing on it. The entree portion for the lunch was generous! I was in and out in 20 minutes! I was super happy and full! 😁 Comparing this to the bigger hibachi table restaurants. This is the clear winner due to its pricing and taste! I only spent $10 for all of that! Other important notes: parking is Gravel/ dirt open lot. The curb is for employees and pick ups! Don't recommend parking here for dine-in! The path is through back of the building on a seperate road that you follow after turning left into the Plaza and left again on a small road onto the gravel. “I love it when I have a story behind a restaurant. I was on my way back to Thomasville from Winston and kept thinking. I wish there was something else in this area as far as a restaurant. I was really in a burger mood. I know about Cagney's which is great .. I worked hard this morning and really didn't want to wait until I was all the way back to Thomasville to eat. So when I was in the direct epicenter of where, I wanted to find a place. I saw a strip mall kind of back and up to the left. I thought the odds are small of something being in this place. But I've never been up here, so I'm gonna look. Sure enough there was a Thunder Road bar and grill. I had my apprehensions since I am a non drinker. But I guess the bar part is just open on. The bar part is just open evenings? So I wondered in this sharp but slight Is little sandwich shop. I was impressed the minute that I walked in the door without cleaning it was. The waitress was very prompt, friendly. Courteous and glad to answer my questions. And in a reasonable amount of time, I was served a true chargrilled burger on a brioche bun. Really nice. And they were happy to give me a salad instead of french fries. And I was happy to find out that it was true homemade buttermilk ranch dressing. This was a really nice experience and a really good fast meal. Again, this is another one of those. I would love it if there was a 4.5.... I will be back. I really loved the taste of the burger. OH! My meal - salad and drink was less than ten dollars!!!!”

The food is much much better than your typical Mexican spot and they have a full bar and fantastic margaritas. Everyone working there is really nice and the place has a good energy to it. We went in tonight to celebrate some birthdays and had a great time. I believe our server’s name was Lexi - she had great energy and really made our experience (and not to mention it was relatively close to closing time and on a Friday night but she was still great) She even went out of her way and had the kitchen whip up some birthday desert for the table and some of the other people working came over and sang.
