Perfect spot for a boy mom to engage in a little sport fun, yet my daughter and I have fun at the play ground and kick the soccer ball and play Frisby and catch for some sport fun too! Perfect for the family! Love it! ❤️”

Canemah Bluff Nature Park

Address: 917 4th Ave, Oregon City, OR 97045, USA

Park

“This park was a pleasant surprise and I will come back. The trails are easy to hike and well maintained. Parking is a little tricky if you have a car with low ground clearance because there is an edge between the pavement and the gravel. The parking area slopes up after the dip so you may scratch the bottom of your bumper on the street. There are a lot of people there taking family photos so you may find it challenging going at times to get to a designated viewpoint without going off the trail to get a shot.”

RavenCroft

Address: 14950 Cinnamon Hill Ln, Mulino, OR 97042, USA

Park Store

“We visited RavenCroft on their opening day of the season in early June. Definitely check the website for the most up-to-date information, as opening dates will coincide with when the lavender blooms start appearing. RavenCroft has several varieties available to view and each of them have slightly different bloom times. While July is the prime time, we were able to see a few of the varieties and they were absolutely gorgeous and fragrant. One benefit of visiting early on is being able to view the flowers without a crowd. :) The folks RavenCroft are very hospitable! They gave us an overview of the lavender blooms and graciously welcomed us to have a picnic lunch (we packed it) in their gazebo. Afterwards, we checked out the small gift shop to pick up a few souvenirs! Thank you, RavenCroft! We'd love to return again next year.”

Frances Street Park

Address: 6205 SE Frances St, Hillsboro, OR 97123, USA

Park

“This is one of my son's favorite parks because the play structure is pretty good for toddlers. Very clean park. Cute little lending library. Only issue is parking can be tricky - the dedicated spot is small and the on street parking can be full. Better to walk here if you can.”

Fox Park

Address: 425 S Molalla Ave, Molalla, OR 97038, USA

Park

“Much better now that they have the new equipment. I like the soft padding instead of the bark dust, now just to fix the little kid part and maybe put some of that padding or something softer in the splash pad. My kiddos skin gets roughed up all the time from spills in the splash pad. Once they fix these issues, more than happy to give the full 5 star review! Great park otherwise”

Shepperd's Dell State Natural Area

“Absolutely stunning definitely not wheelchair accessible however it is accessible to those with limited mobility in need of walking assistance there is plenty of areas that do get steep but for hiking with forearm crutches being one legged it was quite easy and the waterfall is breathtaking”

The water area is super fun for the smaller kids, the barn playground is very unique, the dog park area is huge and it even has an area to wash your dogs! Thom Park

Address: 1135 SE 9th St, Gresham, OR 97080, USA

Park

“I walk my dog there. It's often I run into under aged stoners hiding from their parents getting high at night. Some toys for the kids as you can see in the picture but definently not some place to plan an all day event at. A couple tables and one bench. There's a doggy doo bag dispenser as you enter. Side benefit is you can cross the bridge and be on school grounds and use their young kids playground toys and 4 basketball hoops for the older kids. A track to get your exercise on as well.”

Lowami Hart Woods Natural Area

Address: 14895 SW Hart Rd, Beaverton, OR 97007, USA

Park

“Beautiful wooded park with a lot of nice hiking trails. It's just minutes away and feels like you've driven to the middle of nowhere. Don't let the tiny parking lot fool you...the park is bigger than it looks from the street. The main trails are paved and there are some unpaved trails that take you through more of the park. Great place to walk your dog. People like to hide painted rocks in this park so keep a lookout and you might find a small piece of art to take home with you!”

“Always a great time. Very clean facilities, friendly staff. Bring your family! Lovely pool and sauna, excellent hot tub, great pickle ball court.”

Anderson Park

Address: 450 Jefferson Ave, Vernonia, OR 97064, USA

Park

“Really nice campground in a great little town! Newly painted bathrooms! Nice playground and covered area. And the river is always a nice, cool place to play! Grocery store 2 blocks away for necessities. Friendly townsfolk!”

Chapman Landing Trailhead - CZ Trail

Address: Unnamed Road, Scappoose, OR 97056, USA

Park

“A beautiful rail-trail but as others have said, perfect for cycling (with fatter tires), a little less stimulating as a hike. If you've done Banks-Vernonia it's similar except not paved and a bit steeper. Really love all the informational signage along the trail! Lots of cool history, geology, etc. As of 12/1/21 the trail is closed in between the last two trailheads nearest Vernonia (Holce and Wilark) due to active logging. There was no info about this on at any of the other trailheads or online. I decided to detour on the road to get around which has little shoulder but was lightly trafficked at the time. Wouldn't recommend it unless you're used to that kind of riding. I guess maybe call the county to see if it's reopened if you're planning on doing the whole trail. It could definitely cause issues if you're planning to resupply water and/or snacks in Vernonia. Scaponia Park does have water but it has a lot of sulfur in it and sure tastes like it!”

South Pyramid Horse Camp

Address: Sweet Home, OR 97386, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“A far far away location, Worth it”
