“Both of the kids absolutely loved it - I've got a 1 year old and 2 year old! Very clean and lots of toys to play with. I especially appreciated the big bathrooms with step stools for washing hands.”

“Loved this cute little coffee museum. Patrick gave us a historical tour, which was very interesting. Patrick’s mother grew up on a coffee farm in Kenya. The history is very interesting. They are also currently building across the hall a coffee and beverage shop with period themes. The shop is in a refurbished flour mill. They are also having a lovely mural painted on the side of the old silos. Great place for a fun stop. They also have a cute little side of the shop with gifts. Thank you Patrick.”

“We visited for the first time during a birthday party and my kiddos had so much fun!! Definitely a place where your kiddos can use their imagination, and have a ton of fun playing. The floor plan is very open so you can see your child at any PlayStation no matter where you stand/sit. The person who was working tonight was really kind, acknowledged us promptly when we walked in and was helpful throughout the event. We will definitely be back to play again!”

“Amazing—way better than expected! Well worth the drive from the DFW area and beyond. I’m not sure how I was unaware of this for so long. I thought this was going to be a few place with a few vehicles and some historical items inside. This is a full-scale museum comprised of four metal buildings and outside vehicles behind the owner’s place. If you have any interest in military history, seeing historical items, military artwork, weapons, or vehicles, this is well worth a visit. The number of significant family military heirlooms is surprising. Most items from WWII forward but some WWI items. The tour he gave was a spectacular history lesson. My son and I thoroughly enjoyed it and I will take others there. This would be great for showing history to families, organizations like scout troops, school classes, and others. Admission is free but we left a donation. The owner and others involved clearly have invested significant resources of time and money.”

“Excellent small-town museum that exhibits the history of Allen. I especially liked their exhibit "Allen - Then and Now," which looked at photos of downtown Allen and the blocks around the museum and compared it to what the area looks like today. It was a great way to see how Allen has transformed through the decades from a small town centered around the railroad to a thriving city in the DFW metroplex. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that I feel the locomotive and caboose on display outside the museum could use some descriptive signs around them. They are nice to look at and walk around, but I didn't seen any plaques stating what they were, where they came from, or what their connection to Allen is. Otherwise, this was an excellent museum with very nice staff.”

“There is plenty of parking for Travel Town Railroad so no need to worry about that. The actual area is pretty small and can be done in about 1-2 hours if you take your time and 1 hour if you do it quickly. Seeing the old trains are cool and there are a lot of them asking to see. The gift shop is little and kind of expensive. The train ride isn't expensive and it's cool to ride to get a quick look at the whole area. Best of all it's free to get in so overall it's worth a trip to check this place out.”

“My 19-month-old grandson had a great time playing here. The activities encourage creativity—we particularly enjoyed the lighted board that made me think of Light Bright from days past. I highly recommend this place!”

“Before moving out of state, we visited all of the play museums in DFW and this was definitely our favorite for their selection of toys as well as friendliness of the staff. The plane/travel theme was so cool, my boys loved playing with their awesome train setup. The staff was always super friendly and welcoming. Parking is easy (right out front) and the place was always really clean. Definitely recommend!”

“We took our 2 year old train fanatic here as a alternative to the Trains at Northpark this holiday season. It was so fun! Not as busy, so he got to spend time really taking it all in front and center at each of the scenes. Great experience! Highly recommend supporting this place and taking your train fans to check it out!”

“At the time of covid this was an amazing find, credit goes to my wife though. We went a little early in the afternoon and there was no rush. Loves the cleanliness of the place and friendly staff. Our daughter was overjoyed and we spent lots of time at each of the exhibits. Fantastic collection, very very thought provoking. I would highly recommend spending couple of hours here especially if you like the touch of heritage. And don't forget to visit the neighborhood and the locomotives. Loved taking snaps there.”

“Yes this museum is a little small, but if you’re a video game nerd with a love for old nostalgic games, this is the place for you. They have a lot of interactive exhibits where you can play all kinds of old games and they also have lots of exhibits of old systems and the history behind them. With your price of admission you get tokens to play in one of two arcades they have on site. All in all, it was a great place to visit on a Sunday afternoon.”

“To tour guides are fantastic and very knowledgeable in the history of the farm and family that lived there. A lot of different things going on, such as metal foraging, ice cream social and a couple different tours. Really enjoyed our morning and learned a lot as well.”
