“Very clean and nice accessible park. Great place for walking, jogging, and picnicking. Sometimes, there are ducks around the small pond. It is busy in the area during the week when school is letting out, so plan your visit early mornings, evenings, or weekends. You really should check it out soon!”

“Nice area to walk through. Feels like you’re out of the city. Not a very long trail so you can do it easily in less than an hour. Lots of little animals around and the trails are paved and unpaved so you don’t have to get muddy if it’s rained recently.”

“Great park! There are a lot of areas to walk along the water and see ducks and beavers. The playgrounds are also really nice. They have a section for little kids and more elementary school kids. These sections are really close so it is easy to see the littles on both. They also have plenty of benches and tables. They have public restrooms available if needed. Over all my nieces really enjoyed playing here and we will be back”

“Even summer during afternoon time, kids can enjoy the park due to trees covered with shadows. We have big parking place and have lot of rest chairs with grills as well. Best and suitable place to meet as friends and family and spend time together. Creeks also flowing on the side of park and it's very close to the children play area so there is a possibility of insects so keep eye on children's always.”

“Laurel Oaks Funeral Home and Shannon Bunch, the funeral director, were wonderful. Shannon was compassionate and helpful during the planning for the funeral. He made suggestions without being pushy. My mother’s service was perfect. She looked beautiful and peaceful. My family is grateful for the care given to my mother and to our family.”

“Great place for a picnic or just to sit and relax and enjoy the outdoors. Long grassy area alongside the lake area with trees and a few benches. No playground or bathroom area, so not the most family friendly unless living in short walking distance. One end of the lake has a cool black hole thing. Park is also close to Turtle Creek trail and a few blocks from Katy Trail so it’s a good place to start on a walk or run.”

“Overall: An enjoyable experience Wide open space for the doggies to run. Best part is the more than a century old graveyard in the back and the historical singing pipes featured about midway on the trail. There aren't usually lots of people here so the vibe is relaxed. There is a small park for kids in the back but really, it's more about the historical reflection... Take a walk through the past at Opportunity Park!”

“A very nice & peaceful nature preserve spot. You can go fishing, Rock hunting, take long walks/runs. The best time to visit this preserve is in the summer when all the wildflowers bloom”

“This is one of the most beautiful little parks in Dallas. Heavily shaded, plenty of benches, impeccably kept, soccer field, tennis courts and a water feature. The children's playscape has padded flooring as opposed to wood chips. Owners seem to mostly pick up after their pets and there are plenty of poop bag stations always kept in stock. Wonderful park to take your kids or furry children.”
Address: 1400 Uhl Rd, DeSoto, TX 75115, USA
“The kids have so much fun. The parents are always supportive. I've never experienced any drama at this location. The DJ always slaps and the BBQ always smells great. There's a cover charge to watch, but the laughs and community fun makes it worth it. If you have a kid playing at the site go check it out. Heads up, parking can get really packed so prepare for that.”

“Nice afternoon at the dog park! It was clean and all the dogs were friendly. Plenty of sitting areas and covered pavilions. I will say, the gates are a little tricky and one lady accidentally them open, so just be sure to shut them completely to keep all the dogs safe and inside the park. -Grace Speese, President Farmers Branch Chamber of Commerce”
