“We ventured to Los Compadres as part of our Roanoke Christmas parade, and we were so glad we did! The service was friendly and attentive, and you could tell that they all work as a team. We noticed the hostess helping bus tables, and every single employee had a welcoming smile on their face. It’s a beautiful restaurant in a great location, and it has lots of spacious seating. The food came out quickly, and it was so delicious! I think the shrimp tacos were the best I’ve ever eaten! And the basil margarita was a fun twist on a Mexican staple. My husband also enjoyed his chicken quesadilla. Highly recommend! Thank y’all for taking good care of us !”

“Wonderful spot! This was my first time having South African food, and it was a great experience. The staff took the time to walk us through the menu before we ordered, and the chef explained each dish as they were brought out (we ordered a bunch of stuff and wouldn’t really have known what was what). The food was delicious! Also, this place is half restaurant and half market, so it was cool to spend some time looking at all the products from South Africa.”

“they forced me to eat a vegetarian pizza. i opened the box and called to say i got the wrong pizza. it had racing red vegetables, mushrooms and some sort of grass on it. she said "we know thomas and we're sorry, come back in and we will make a new one" i told her i was at lunch but would take her up on it tomorrow. i had to eat it, i was hungry :(.... and it was DELICIOUS!!!... it was cooked perfectly and considering i was expecting the meat of 3 different animals on it.... that's saying a lot. they are super friendly. my meatzza was very good as well. vegetarians 1 - thomas 0 just got a new genre of my favorite food”

“It’s been a long time since I’ve been here. The food is good but it’s quite a ways from the I820 area. Anyway I had the large Napa Valley salad. It seemed more like a medium sized salad to me compared to what I remember from before. Nevertheless the salad was good. Chicken was fresh as were the greens and cranberries. Service was friendly. Not much has changed with the decor over the years. If you are craving a salad, this is the place to go. They have a fairly extensive Tex-Mex menu as well.”

“So glad we went! I’m very pleased with the brand spankin’ new Anderson Distillery. We had two cocktails - a margarita with their fruit infused rum (not a traditional margarita) but boy was it delicious!! Also ordered an old fashioned, be prepared, their bourbon is still aging, so it’s not quite the classic old fashion you’d expect. Despite being slammed with people when we went AND it was their first day open, they managed to serve us quickly. The food was from a limited menu but I can say the beef sliders were delish. The Joe Rub seasoning really brought those sliders to the next level. I’d give two thumbs up to Anderson Distillery and recommend you give the new kids on the block a shot.”

Diner food is 'simple' so it has to be done right; and Dove Creek does it very well. Husband said the chicken fried steak was the best he's ever had and we are major foodies. Don't expect 'gourmet' brunch but if diner food is what you're looking for - check this spot out. Last but not least, the service was really awesome.
