“Wife had recently found a new spot she wanted to try. Went and tried the mojito lemonade which was really refreshing, wifey had the lava flow bowl which blew her away. We even had a chat with the owner, good people who care for their craft and better yet their customers. Will be coming back again.”

El Mexicano Grill and Cantina #2

Address: 1620 N Hwy 77 #800, Waxahachie, TX 75165, USA

Restaurant

“Customer service was good. Host and servers were very courteous. Prices were good and the food was served fairly quickly. They serve queso along with mild and spicy salsa with the chips. Very good however the chips were partially burned toward the middle and bottom of the bowl. Didn't bother asking for fresh chips because I didn't want to fill up on them. I ordered the taco salad with fajitas meat. They are not stingy with the fixings. The steak was tender and tasty. The veggies were fresh and nicely diced. I hate chunky veggies on my salad. It was really good. My only concern was the shell. I really enjoy eating the shell with my salad. This shell was overcooked and tasted a bit greasy. I've passed this place several times and it always seems busy. I wanted to try for myself. There was a slight smell when I walked in. Like maybe a plumbing or ventilation issue. Nothing overwhelming but definitely noticeable. The customer service cost, and ambiance will rate them a second visit.”

El Fenix

Restaurant

“I had the crazy nachos & if you're a lover of nachos, you will absolutely love these! The service was great! My friends & I were seated instantly & attended to throughout our dinner; just enough to be helpful, but not bothersome & the atmosphere was clean & comfortable. We all had something different at my table, but we all enjoyed our dishes & even the presentation of the food on your plates, makes you want to dig right in. You will definitely enjoy dining here.”

Johnny Carino's

Address: 988 US-287, Waxahachie, TX 75165, USA

Restaurant

“This place was good. We were at the bar area and they had some great specials. The margaritas were great and quick. The food took a minute but came out nice. My wife had salmon and said it was good. I had a chicken parmigiana sandwich, it was good but could have used more sauce.”

Waffle House

Address: 1020 US-287, Waxahachie, TX 75165, USA

Restaurant

“A Fantastic Breakfast Experience at Waffle House in Waxahachie, TX I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Waffle House in Waxahachie, TX, and I must say, it was a fantastic breakfast experience. I opted for their renowned ALL-STAR SPECIAL™, and it definitely lived up to its reputation. First and foremost, the service at this Waffle House was outstanding. The staff was friendly, attentive, and quick to take my order. Despite the busy morning rush, my food arrived promptly, ensuring I didn’t have to wait long to satisfy my breakfast cravings. Now let’s talk about the food. The ALL-STAR SPECIAL™ was a delightful combination of flavors and textures. The crispy hash browns were perfectly cooked, boasting a golden-brown exterior and a tender, fluffy interior. They were the ideal complement to the other components of the dish. The bacon was cooked to a delectable crispness, providing a savory and smoky taste that added depth to each bite. Paired with the eggs sunny side up, the dish was further enhanced by the rich, velvety yolks that oozed over the hash browns and bacon, creating a mouthwatering medley of flavors. The inclusion of whole wheat toast was a welcome touch, offering a wholesome and slightly nutty flavor to balance out the savory components. The toast was toasted to perfection, providing a satisfying crunch with every bite. In summary, my experience at the Waffle House in Waxahachie, TX, was delightful. The service was excellent, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable visit. The ALL-STAR SPECIAL™ was a scrumptious breakfast option, with its crispy hash browns, flavorful bacon, perfectly cooked eggs sunny side up, and delicious whole wheat toast. If you’re in the mood for a hearty and satisfying breakfast, I highly recommend giving this Waffle House a try. Note: This review is based on my personal experience and may vary depending on individual preferences.”

Scoops Ice Cream

Address: 2506 Ovilla Rd Ste . C, Red Oak, TX 75154, USA

Store Restaurant

“There’s no better experience than ice cream at Scoops ice cream! The staff is super friendly - like out of their way friendly. It feels like eating ice cream on your best friends couch except that instead of a scoop of grocery store ice cream, you’re eating a warm apple pie sundae drizzled with caramel and deliciousness. My husband had a cheesecake parfait and I think I actually died and went to heaven when I took a bite. I had the brownie parfait with butter crunch ice cream and almond slivers and it was amazing too. I don’t have one single complaint about anything. The owner even stopped by to ask how our visit was and chatted with us for a while. It’s probably good we don’t live in the area, or I would be here far too much for my own good.”

Starbucks

Address: 210 Hawkins Run, Midlothian, TX 76065, USA

Cafe Restaurant Store

“Edit: Upgrade to 5 ⭐️! It’s a normal temperature today! Immediate response to my review & change was made. This truly is a 5 ⭐️ location with great employees so I’m glad I don’t need the two sweaters, two blankets, hand warmers, and small heater that I brought today. Got my drink & snack & getting to work. Thank you! 😁 The only reason I gave just 3 stars is because I’m a very hot-natured person, always hot, but I feel like I could get frostbite in this store. It’s not just me either, customers come in, shiver, & leave. There’s conversations among us about how cold it is. It’s not just cold either, it’s breezy! So the air must run constantly. I’ve mentioned it & was told that it was turned up but I’m still sitting in a breeze with an icy nose, ears, toes, and worst of all, fingers while I’m trying to work. I always order a drink and something to eat so I’m complaining as a regular paying customer. To be freezing with a sweater & a lap blanket is insane. I shouldn’t need blankets, gloves, & a hat to work inside. Otherwise, the location is great. There are outlets and USB ports EVERYWHERE.”

KFC

Address: 1209 N Hwy 77, Waxahachie, TX 75165, USA

Restaurant

“Nice people and super fast! The food was decent although is usually better… seemed like the 2 piece meal wasn’t fried in hot enough oil because it was pretty greasy instead of crispy. The music was too loud but the restrooms were clean and the tea and drink selection is good (I usually mix Colonel’s Lemonade with Unsweet Tea)! The $5 Famous Bowl with spicy fried chicken is really good although it never seems like much food… until your about halfway through! Definitely not health food but overall it’s quick, cheap and pretty good food!”

Fiesta Grill

Address: 309 S Kaufman St, Ennis, TX 75119, USA

“Great family restaurant. Warm chips and amazing salsa. Our meals came quickly. My family calls me the tea gourmet because I am rarely happy with resta I rant tea...it was delicious crisp and clean really great. . I had tortilla soup with avocado DELICIOUS yummy”

Lil Burgerz

Address: 2506 Ovilla Rd Ste . C, Red Oak, TX 75154, USA

“Amazing southern hospitality/ customer service! That alone will keep me coming back to a place. My slider was cooked to perfection and very tasty, loaded fries were on point! (added jalapeños) highly recommend this business, speaking with them their ice cream bar is soon making its transfer into the restaurant and the options they described sounded delightful. Will be back soon. My first experience was over all better then my one today. Food was tastier and made with a lot more love my first time thru. I will say I liked fried green tomatoes they were thick and really tasty. Customer service still on point love this! My sliders were OK def not juicy and delicious like my first visit. Still would recommend this place maybe they were having an off day being Monday will try again sometime soon”

Bluebonnet City Grill

“My wife and I happened to be in Ennis and decided to stop in to give this place a try. The hostess and our server were very attentive to our needs and were just so polite. We ordered the pick 3 app platter (fried pickles, fried mushrooms, and wisconsin cheese curds), monster potato, and a rueban sandwich with a side of fries. Guys, this is some real home cooked vibe delicious food, and honestly, not even expensive as it seems to be. Absolutely amazing all around.”

Taqueria Dona Mari

Jimmy's Wings and Burgers

Address: 401 N Hwy 77 suite 2, Waxahachie, TX 75165, USA

Restaurant

“No pictures, sorry. I stopped at this place on Sunday. I got a avocado cheese burger and fries. The burger was OUTSTANDING and the fries were great. Yeah, know….fries are fries. Well I love large cut fries that are fresh and this is the place for me. Let me talk about the burger for a minute. The patty is 6oz. The meat was cooked perfect and very tender. Two type of cheese and fresh avocado. Mustard, lettuce, pickle and tomatoes were all fresh. So YES, I would go back. Now let me tell you the negative. The place is almost a dump. Yeah, read the other reviews. Not very clean, dark atmosphere and well the people are not that friendly. They are by no means horrible or mean. The woman I spoke with was nice and knew exactly what I wanted and took care of me. Cleanliness is an issue. Just look at the soda machine. That thing has syrup everywhere. Get your order to go. Give it a try.”

“Great restaurant. Do not get fooled by people who post bad reviews about this place. The parking lot was almost full when we arrived here. The waitress, Martha, took us to a booth right away, and we ordered the food - a vegetarian fajita, which was not even on the menu. THREE MINUTES LATER the food arrived, and it was awesome - take a look at the video and the pictures we posted. GREAT FOOD, GREAT SERVICE, and GREAT ATMOSPHERE. Martha, the waitress, was excellent! We will return!!!!”

The Ugly Heifer Grill

Address: 2498 FM 66, Waxahachie, TX 75167, USA

Restaurant

“Understand they don't serve alcohol, but with this pub food, a beer would wash it down better. The fat heifer was exactly that and patties were cooked perfect, lacked a little flavor. I prefer dill over sweet pickles on my burger and too much mustard. Fries were so crispy they were dried out on the inside with potato dust. Fried mushrooms were good, dipping sauce was okay. Service was great, but we did ask for honey mustard and she was going to whip some up but as soon as a 10 top was seated it never arrived.”

Steak 'n Shake

“Food was good! Was able to eat wings with barbecue sauce. With celiac finding places that have wings that are gluten free. They have a gluten free menu with lots of choices! Glad we went! Kids got a pizza and chicken Cesar salad - not gluten free but they liked their food too.”
