“My family & I spent a weekend looking into local history around the Barlow Trail. This was a great stop. I wish the home had been open so we could see inside, but the set-up of the homestead was interesting to picture. It would be nice to stop here when there are people available to explain the historym”

“Lisa is amazing! My 3 beagles LOVE coming to Rummy's Beach Club andalove seeing Lisa. If you want to take your pet to the dog park, they are missing this beach club. My dog Bailey jumps off the dock and fetches water toys under water thanks to Lisa and her exceptional facility. If you want to try something different, this is it and a great way to bond with your dogs too. Definitely recommend to family and friends!”

“If you're within a few miles of it it's a great practice course. Simple enough layout but mistakes are punished severely on most of it. Whoever's in charge these days is doing a great job keeping it tidy. It used to be a nightmare. Still holds water for days after rain, but that's most courses in the area”

“Fun mountain biking trail. Helmets required. Moderate to advanced level. 2.5 mile loop. Lots of hills, drop offs, bridges, twists, and curves.”

“Our favorite dog park! If you park on the Meyer Park side, you will have to walk to the very far back. If you want to walk less, then park behind the Stuebner Airline Veterinary Hospital. There is a dirt path that will take you right to the dog park. I really enjoy this entrance because I don't have to walk through the park with hundreds of squirrels, driving my dogs nuts! There's also a nice pond next to the dog park with a trail and you can walk around that too with your dogs (on leash of course). The dog park for the small dogs and big dogs are great. Sometimes it is really annoying to see dog owners who don't pick up after their dogs because I have one that likes to eat poop! It would be great if people can pick up after their dogs. Also if your dog is over the size limit for the small park, please do not bring your dog in because your dog will scare smaller dogs (the very reason why we have two different parks). I advise you not to go after a heavy rain as the drainage isn't the best, but a day after, it will be great! Plenty of trees, shade, and seating area.”

“Love this park! Love that it has 3 different play areas for different age children & level of physical capabilities. It has bathrooms, but pretty sure there's no changing table. Many benches and picnic tables. Plenty of room to run around and play. Has a walking/jogging path. There's a bike trail that goes through it. A pond with fish, turtles, and ducks. They have a big enclosure filled with a type of bird, don't remember what kind, it's pretty neat. There are soccer fields and a concession stand. In the summer/hot months, I always wish there was a bit more shade. But the place is kept very well maintained.”

“Beautiful park, well maintained lawns and carefully landscaped flowers. Visited on Easter Sunday in search of blue bonnets. While they didnt have random huge patches, they had a roped off garden of wild flowers. Wonderful for doing pictures with small children or in my case with my dog. I have been wanting to do his picture with the blue bonnets and this was a much safer alternative to road sides!”

“Beautiful place to walk. Very quiet. Like you're walking through a canopy of trees. It's nice that you get to walk along the river for a while. There are mile markers every 1/10 of a mile so you know how far you've gone. They also have little signs that describe the types of trees. Which is nice too take a look at it and read. Overall it's a great place.”
