“Amazing service! I went in today because my dog was having an allergic reaction to a vaccine that was given to him this morning from a different vet. My puppy had a completely swollen face , and needed attention as soon as possible. Although I’m not from Alice and was traveling , the Wilkinson Vet was the closest office. We were immediately given service despite the fact that they stopped taking walk ins about an hour before my arrival. It was a clean and welcoming environment with very kind staff. This situation really shows that The Wilkinson Vet Office truly cares about the animals they service. The following pictures show before and immediately after my visit with this vet. Definitely recommend!!”

“Absolutely fantastic and caring people here. Took care of our vaccinations and spays for our absolutely neurotic shepherd and 2 cats. Used some kind of wound closure that didn’t require a cone which I think would have traumatized our “special” girls. Kept them overnight for observation which I’m sure they didn’t appreciate (the pets) but is a far safer bet after such a major operation. We really appreciate the concern and compassion shown and we are happy to have finally found a family vet.”

“Was in town for Thanksgiving holidays to visit family in Carrollton and my favorite dog of all-time, Cocoa, wasn't feeling well. Called CWPH on Monday morning . They got us in for a same day appointment. Long story short - they found what appeared to be a tumor in x-rays, recommended emergency surgery the next morning, removed a 2 1/2 tumor, called me every step of the way.. Bottom line, they did a wonderful job from start to finish and I can't help but think how they probably saved my pet that day. Thank you so much!”

“Everyone there is so kind...and extra caring with my dogs. They are a "No Fear" clinic.... I'll attest to it. My female would have to be held by 3 or 4 techs to clip her nails elsewhere, at Acton one tech sat on the floor talking to her, keeping her distracted and the other would use the clippers parallel to the floor and clip...might only get one or two at a time but my girl never got stressed and enjoyed all the attention. “Dr. Montgomery is a very knowledgeable and compassionate vet. He's operated on one of my smallest (spay, removed ½ lb mammary tumor, dental cleaning w/extractions) and helped me with aftercare plans. Midge (the dog) is doing extremely well and she's always happy to see the vet! Additionally, Dr. Montgomery has helped me make some difficult decisions in care for some of my other animals and I'm glad that he was there to help me through that rough time. I'd definitely use Southern Winds for all of my dogs' care. (Attached are photos of Dr. Montgomery's favorite patient before and after her surgery. As you can see, she got her life back!)”

“I went in as a walk-in with my pet pit bull Cartel. I was immediately escorted to the back despite the line of people in the lobby. I came in with a sick dog who contracted parvo so they helped me quick. I was for sure they would tell me Cartel wasn't gonna make it. Two nurses assured me that with the medication and if given properly that he would be just fine n up in 2 days. Well they saved cartels life. They showed me step by step on how I would be administering his meds thru IV at home and they weren't gonna let us go until I did it in front of them correctly. I was also given options if I couldn't pay for the visit. But we did and now i know why my Grandma always took her Pets there. “ReadiVet came into our lives at a low point when the health of our beloved cat of 16 years suddenly changed for the worse over Memorial Day weekend. Not wanting to stress Genie more by taking her to a vet, I texted ReadiVet on Sunday to see if they had any openings the following week. Much to my gratefulness, Sonia called me Monday morning and arranged for Dr. Hyde and Heather to come. Dr. Hyde and Heather were gentle, knowledgeable and prompt, and they answered all of our questions and provided us with options. It was discovered that Genie’s kidneys were failing and due to her age and prognosis, we had to make the unexpected and difficult decision of not letting her suffer any longer. The whole process was emotionally difficult, and through it all, the care, compassion and patience that Dr. Hyde, Heather and Sonia showed us meant more than they may realize. Now, two months after Genie crossed the rainbow bridge, I still miss her terribly. But the sad memories of saying good bye to her are uplifted by ReadiVet‘s gentleness, kindness and respect. “Today I called first thing in the morning for my cat that was having urinary issues. The receptionist was super calm and seemed to care so that felt amazing! They scheduled me for 10 am, then I got a phone call saying “come now” so I did. I got there around 845 and my cat was seen immediately, which meant a lot to me. Everyone with pets know the stress of them being uncomfortable. Dr. Charles really explained all of the possible scenarios and told me in a way I could understand vs medical talk and confusing. I’ve lived in Dallas for 2 years and I had never met a vet here who I liked, that seemed to actually enjoy animals until today. Angie the nurse was also amazing. Very kind and comforting to the cat, they did everything possible to make him comfortable. I am so thankful I found this clinic and that they were all so helpful and kind to my cat! I will only be going to them for my pets needs from now on. ETA- my cat blocked Sunday and I called Dr. Charles panicking, she told me to come in the next morning so I did. She told me the risks and gave him affordable treatment. They were able to unblock him and sent him home. I’m really amazed by the compassion at this clinic. For once it’s a clinic that doesn’t feel money based. Thanks for doing everything possible for my baby.”

“After calling around several vets to get help with a rescue, VCare ended up being the kindest, most supportive and empathetic. My stray Mama cat had a very hard time breathing, I didn’t think she would make it through the night. VCare gave me an immediate appointment over the phone. When I arrived the clinic was very clean and they walked me through possible causes, treatments and pricing. Really asking about her background and understanding what led up to the illness. Everyone was so kind, and treatment was prompt. The doctor called so fast with testing results and medicine was prescribed immediately. Mama was back to herself by the next day. A few days later they called to check up on her, and even helped me with an immediate stray to check for microchip when other vets wouldn’t. Highly recommend this vet!”

“Wonderful and kind staff. My regular vet was unavailable and recommended Reata when my old horse was colicking. I called and was helped by Janna/Janet (I hope I'm close, because she was wonderful). Even though I was not an existing client, she bent over backwards to help and comfort me. Dr Lorenz (again I really hope that's right, she was also amazing), came out quickly. She did everything she could to help Roo feel better. I absolutely loved her, and I felt very confident in her abilities. I can't recommend this practice enough. Every single person I dealt with from first call to paying the bill was absolutely wonderful. I'm delighted to have found this practice, and so happy Dr Wynn recommended them.”
