“A little but beautiful Botanical Garden with lots of places to simply enjoy. No fee, donations accepted. Park at Freedom Park visitor center and walk the short path to the charming entrance. Restrooms are at the visitor center. The same park hosts Go Ape Park with ziplines, historic spots and trails. Picnic tables and benches within and just outside of the garden.”

“Best therapist ever. I had suffered chronic depression, sometimes severe, nearly all of my life when I started seeing him. It didn't happen overnight, but he helped me more than any other therapist I've ever seen. He does group therapy, and everyone in my group who stuck with it said they felt they had made significant progress in their lives. You do have to stick with it, though. He insists you show up every week on time, though he does understand that once in a blue moon you can't make it. There's a reason for this rule that he will gladly explain as many times as you need to hear it before he kicks you out for non-compliance if you fail to show up on time for a few sessions in a short period. He has other rules, too, all of which he explained to my satisfaction. But if you can't accept his rules, see someone else. He won't coddle you. He tells you the truth. He can be blunt but never abusive. Underneath a sometimes crusty demeanor, he is very compassionate and makes himself available on short notice to see you one-on-one between group sessions if you're having a crisis. At least he did in the days I was in therapy with him. He doesn't like dealing with insurance companies but tries to work with you to make therapy affordable out of pocket. I couldn't recommend anyone more highly!”

“I should have written this review sooner, since R&D fixed our screened porch roof several months ago, but time got away from me. I did not want to miss letting others know what a wonderful company this is. We had our porch built by someone who turned out to be not only a poor craftsman, but also a dishonest and unscrupulous person. When the roof continually leaked, we had him come out numerous times, but he just didn't seem to be able to fix it (or perhaps he just didn't really care). We sought legal advice, sent him letters, etc., but he didn't respond. Obviously, we had to hire someone else to fix the roof, which required tearing it completely off and building a new one. We had a number of estimates, which varied greatly in price (and somewhat, in technique, as well). I finally called Ray at R&D, after reading excellent reviews online and seeing his A+ rating on BBB. I am so totally relieved that we chose this company. They did a fabulous job, and his price was very reasonable. After the work was done, it rained heavily, and the roof did leak. I called Ray on a Friday, and his crew was there the next morning to fix the leak. That was in March (almost 4 months ago) and it has not leaked since. The roof looks great, and our troubles with this whole situation are over. I cannot recommend R&D Roofing enough. I will definitely use this company again anytime I need a roof built or repaired.”

“This preschool has been such a blessing for our military family. It literally helped us transition here this past year. My rising kindergartner made friends before the school year while attending summer camp (they pack in SO much fun its amazing!). My daughter attends all year and loves her school, teachers and her friends. It is the perfect blend of fun, learning, God and structure. I know my child is in a loving and safe environment. Each staff member is lovely and incredibly helpful. I highly recommend this preschool!”

“I went in and received a friendly greeting. After a short wait I was led to a room where I would spend the next two hours. Nice music, friendly conversation (Hillary was great). I almost fell asleep at one point... No, I'm not talking about a day spa, I'm talking about my two hour deep scale cleaning at Williamsburg Periodontics. Normally I am terrified of getting dental work done, and when I pulled into the parking lot my stomach was in knots. But by the end I was feeling relaxed. When was the last time dental work made you feel relaxed? Highly recommended.”
