“Quaint little apartment style cottages with excellent beach access. We visited here with adults and a toddler and were all comfortable, the cottage included a washer and dryer to clean your swimwear and towels daily if needed. They appear slightly bigger in the photos, but still a nice place to stay. The beach appeared to be mostly residential visitors as it was fairly quiet the 5 days we were here. Our only complaint with the beach was the sand wasn't as well cared for as the higher traffic areas, a few more sea shells than we liked, but that is nothing against the cottage. We cooked in most days and the cottage could have used a little better selection of cookware.”

“Very comfortable King Bed with comfy pillows and blanket. Definitely Affordable and in a good location by the beach. The room was very spacious with the bathroom and sink area separated from the room, that's really nice to have! It gives you a little privacy while showering and getting ready. I must say It was nice to have an actual blanket and not a table cloth to sleep with. They also have shampoo! Seems all the other hotels use those table cloths and most places you have to ask for shampoo! It's so inconvenient! Bathroom could've used a little more bleach and elbow grease and the un-matching chairs weren't a problem, but matching would be more ideal. The small table worked for me, and it was a nice little sitting area. Small TV with wires running down wall. I think the TV could be bigger and the wire and centering of tv could be aligned differently. Overall, this is not really a 5 star hotel like the Marriot, Westin, Candlewood, etc. It's more of a 3 star hotel that I'm giving 5 stars, in comparison to other 3 star hotels, such as Econo Lodge, Days Inn, Red Roof Inn, etc. What sold me on this hotel and why I gave it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐??? It was definitely because of the the soft pillows and blankets! 🌜🛌😌💤💤😌🛌🌛”

“The rooms are very clean although this is one of the cheapest motels on Ocean view so I would definitely go to this one I've been going to this motel pretty much as long as I can remember that is not a bad stay at all the pool is nice and there's a beach right on the other side so you can splurge for a bigger room and better room but the regular rooms are just regular but if you want to stay at a hotel for a cheap price go swimming and hop on the beach this is the hotel for you”

“Company sent me here when my truck went into the shop. I'm a loyal Wyndham stayer so I was a bit nervous about what to expect. Man let me tell you, what a nice hotel! It's also very quiet in spite of the roadway right there. Room 119 was very clean and if there were people in the rooms next to me, even they were super quiet.🤣 1 drawback tho is room 119 is right next to the AC unit and it kept making a noise every few minutes. So if you're a light sleeper, avoid that room. However for me it wasn't an issue.🤷🏾♀️ The shower had great water pressure and temperature. I also love the fact that it was a regular tub/ shower combo in a king room. Not just a shower like at Wyndham 🫢. The young lady at the front desk was very nice and got me checked in super fast. She even helped me extend my room with no issues. Big bonus for me was the ice cream machine (take that Wyndham 😃)!! Let's just say by the end of my first night, I joined Best Western's reward program (sorry Wyndham 🫣😂)!! Will definitely be back!!”

“Call the front desk to see what deals they may have. Me and my family went here for my son's birthday, he wanted to stay on the beach. I'm so honored to receive a discounted rate because honestly this room isn't worth $400 a night on a weekday. Very friendly staff. They will get whatever you need without any attitude. They have a resort style pool, restaurant and bar and all of it was good...food and drinks were good. They delivered our food right to us when we were at the pool. Beach area is nice with shower and walkway. Room was very clean just need some improvements to the bathroom would make this room really worth it. We had 2 balconies in our suite. We enjoyed our stay. Make sure you get your parking pass and the amount of bracelets for all staying. Breakfast is served in the dining room so get there early. As a mental health advocate for Strength You Cant See, here in Jacksonville Fl, going to the beach is such a relaxing space to pray and relieve any stressors.”

“Needed last minute budget lodging to celebrate friends going away. Really grateful for more than affordable price and flexibility with check-in. Also, appreciate the front desk for accommodating to guests needs during late hours. Thanks to Vitta (sp.), who was kind enough to let us switch rooms on such short notice due to some issues with the initial booking. Also, location is right on the water and just a 5 minute walk to the 7-eleven. Housekeeping is on the kinder side compared to neighboring motels!”

“The pictures do not do the beauty of this historic home justice! Everything in the home was clean, working, and organized. The hosts were so kind and accommodating for every request we had, and they truly worked to make every detail of our stay as enjoyable as possible. As a bonus, the teas and breakfasts were delicious!”

“We visited in mid September. We had a suite, brought 3 kids and the dog. The suite had a queen bed, pull out couch, small kitchenette and a separate bedroom with another queen bed and the bathroom. Breakfast is a 10/10, the beach was not crowed in the least. The pet free play area was great for our dog who isn't used to going to the bathroom on leash. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I gave the room 4 stars because our remote didn't operate the TV, only the cable box (so volume, on/off had to be manual) and I wished there was a broom/dustpan in room for sand clean up. I bought one at the Dollar Tree and left it in the closet. We bought food and used the kitchenette instead of eating out, however there is no cookware. Again, nothing that can't be brought/bought at dollar store. Pets aren't allowed on the beach from memorial day to labor day, heads up. We watched dolphins play every day, it's 20 minutes to VA beach/tourist stuff. Absolutely awesome, highly recommended and we hope to be back!!”

“All we need is operational TV, A/C, microwave, refrigerator, clean and safe. They need to work on the clean part, put in an area outside for guests to rinse the sand off before entering the rooms, that will benefit both guests, housekeeping AND the pipes! Spend some money on nighttime security to walk the grounds and run off vagrants & enforce a guests only parking on the lot, and someone to pick-up trash, those suggestions could make a WORLD of difference! We enjoy staying here, but we’re both adults and When traveling I always carry gloves, sanitizing spray & wipes and I’m not afraid to use them. We have come here 3 summers in a row and last October & plan to come again in October. The staff is always friendly and helpful to us. We’ve never had an issue that wasn’t resolved.”

“Absolutely wonderful experience for Sunday brunch. $20 per person and they bring you 3 delicious, fresh, vegetarian courses. Most courses have free, unlimited refills so you will leave satisfied. Wine is extra but all the ones we tried were fantastic. Our server, Jason, was so friendly and told us all about the different places our food and drinks were from. Everyone else we interacted with was so nice and made us feel welcome. Highly recommended if you want to have a relaxing and very unique brunch for a few hours.”

“I'm actually a wedding photographer (and didn't stay here myself although I did spend the whole day) but I'm reviewing because people need to know how amazing of a venue this is for small weddings/elopements! My couple decided to elope in Norfolk's Freemason District at the Inn because they loved how cute the cobblestone-street neighborhood is and because of how charming the Inn is itself. They booked the whole Inn for their family and wedding party to stay for the days surrounding their celebration. As a photographer, I loved how much thought was put into the design of the rooms. The bride got ready in the room on the top floor and it made my job easy- Large windows and a skylight in the stairwell to let in plenty of light, neutral colored yet fun pattered walls, beautiful furnishings that made for great backgrounds when capturing their details, and a bright clean room off to the side for the bride to slip into her dress without the bridesmaids seeing- it all made for great pictures and a laid-back fun getting ready experience. All day the staff was so helpful and friendly! And not just to the bride and groom, but to their family, and myself and the other vendors as well. They went out of their way to make sure that I had ordered something to eat and had a place to sit as well (which is less common than you might think + the food was delicious). When the wedding timeline needed to be adjusted on the fly, the Inn's event staff was easy to communicate and collaborate with so everyone was on the same page and things kept flowing smoothly. The couple had their ceremony and dinner/reception in the backyard patio area and it was seriously so perfect for their small guest list. The staff was quick to transition the versatile space from ceremony to dinner during a short cocktail hour and the table setup turned out stunning! And the patio's bulb lights were bright enough to light photos and keep the magical ambiance of dining and dancing under the stars. I'll definitely be recommending this venue to any couples wanting a small wedding in the area!”

“Stayed here a couple weeks. Pros: large mini fridge with freezer, two shelfs and a vegetable bin on the bottom. Very hot water, microwave and solid TV size with good audio. Recommend bringing a HDMI cable. Plenty of closet space and they didn’t skimp on the lamps. Lots of lamps. Free laundry on the first floor as well. Cons: Water pressure is not great in the shower. I swear there is an underground midnight racing club that drives Honda Civics with the mufflers removed in circles around the building from midnight to about 2am. Recommend earplugs. Internet no work good.”

“We were so impressed with the service here! Had a couple issues with the mold that we smelled in both of the rooms we stayed in, but the management went above and beyond to accommodate us. The front desk was very helpful and glad they still have grab and go snacks.”

“Staying here was great, the location is super close to a quiet private beach. The house was very quiet and clean. Our host recommended an amazing sushi place we tried and left us a chocolate on our bed which was a nice touch.”

“Very beautiful hotel, the rooms are beautifully lit always clean and cozy. The best part it is less then .5 miles from Norfolk Premium Outlets, you can literally walk there. There are plenty of dine in as well as carryout locations within walking distance as well. Please note there are two hotels in this one building. Quality Inn is set up like an apartment with a living room refrigerator and microwave. The room has a door on it as if you have other guest staying with you there is plenty of privacy. The other hotel in the building is Sleep Inn this one is just as nice but you don't have the apartment style set up.”

“The hotel itself is almost brand new and in a fantastic location. The staff did a fantastic job in ensuring things such as surfaces and rooms were being satanized as well as doing their best to promote social distancing. All of the staff went above and beyond to make sure every process from check-in to complementary breakfast went as seamlessly as possible. My only qualm I had with the hotel was a personal one, the bed itself was a bit too soft for me. However I am fully aware that this is just a personal preference and it shouldn't dissuade anyone from staying at this Tru by Hilton. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area.”

“Always clean and comfortable rooms. Front desk staff are always friendly. I like that the price covers a longer stay than most other hotels. Some rooms are more outdated than others and sometimes equipment or something in the room may not work or work well. That's why I'm rating 4 stars instead of 5. They are doing a lot of maintenance and construction work though so the rooms may be renovated in the near future.”
