“The park was lovely. There is a boardwalk which leads out to a pier. People were a fishing and crabbing even though there were many signs warning not to eat shellfish, crabs, etc. There is a beach area where you can wade in the water. There were many flowers blooming and gorgeous views of the Space Needle with the mountains behind it. It's a very nice place to walk.”

“Not really a park that you would go out of your way to come visit but it is a really nice green space for the neighborhood. If you are coming from outside the city go check out the downtown park or even Chism park.”

“A nice little spot to sit. Its in some docks where some people live so its not very isolated. Open until 11:30. You have to walk over some old train tracks to get there so it might be hard to get to in a wheel chair. There is no bathroom. There are normally ducks. Its a few little plant beds, a couple logs and large rocks and the bay tunneled on both sides with docks. It faces south.”

“One of the prettiest park and not a long drive from Bellevue. There is a nice little beach and you can see a lot of people swimming and boating. There are several trails to walk and bike. There is enough space to maintain social distancing. You can also see a lot of people fishing! There is also a lot of guidance and how to maintain social distancing and have added banners to raise awareness to prevent COVID. There is also ample of parking space! Highly recommend visiting this park.”

“Great local park for light hikes and a chance to hang out on Lake Washington. The trails are well maintained and popular. The small beach can be accessed via shorter or longer hikes. Open field for activities. Currently the playground is closed but otherwise it is very nice. The historic building is currently under construction with plans for a hotel and other amenities.”

“A hidden gem. We came across this park by accident on the way to the beach to watch the sunset. The beach was overcrowded and had no parking for miles. We turned around, easily found parking, and enjoyed a beautiful view from this park instead. The park is small but it was large enough for everyone who was there to comfortably social distance.”

We took a small beach tent, large blanket, artist chair with Sun shade for my wife, a pop-up T-Ball batting cage for us both, and a bean bag lawn dart kit. Complete social distancing. Restrooms within walking distance at the beach. Oh yes, and tennis courts. Wow. This park is a wonderful family place.”

“Marina Park is a gem, pure and simple. While they have paid parking (except for Sundays and holidays!), the way the marina bumps right up to enterprising restaurants and food stands while also providing a great sunset view of easter Seattle is nothing short of magical. A full five stars would be given if ANY measure of physical distancing was enforced.”

“This park sits atop a reservoir, creating a small flat grass field approximately 100 yards square. It features a small playground with a rubber surface and dual enclosed tennis courts with basketball hoops. The entire park is enclosed by a short chain link fence. It can get a bit buggy in the evenings, but it's great for kicking a ball around or letting the dog run a bit. Landing flight path is directly overhead, it can be a good plane-watching spot.”

“I worked in Seattle for 8 years, drove past this park daily and never knew it was here.... They have 2 parking spots right next to the water specifically for kayak and canoes to unload. I appreciate that because carrying my kayak isn't very fun. The area is quiet and offers a unique perspective on the shipling industry in Seattle”

“For the past 3 days I took my cruiser board down to shorewood park and to me it was a great experience. There were a lot of hills which were fun to do hill bombs on, but the only thing I didn't like was that I wasn't able to get down to the water. Other than that it was a fun place to ride my cruiser board. It's great for longboards too.”
Address: 1702 Alki Ave SW, Seattle, WA 98116, USA
“I love coming down to Alki. This was my first experience seeing bonfires right on the beach. Day or night, I love the vibe on Alki. You can hang out at the boat launch, and get amazing views of the city, or go down the street and enjoy all the restaurants and beach. It seems like every day on Alki is a small car show of some kind. I enjoy riding my onewheel up and down the riding path, its a great way to explore Alki”
