“Awesome day trip! We did the 4 hour float via river tube and it was only $25. Free parking, they drop you off and pick you up, cooler tubes for $5, life vests on request, dressing rooms & bathrooms on site. Very friendly, well-run company. I’ve never floated the Bogue Chitto but I did a river float in Hot Springs, Arkansas a few years back and this was way more relaxing and organized. Easy float that would be kid friendly (would probably do the two hour one though) since there’s not too many obstacles/rapids and lots of beaches to stop at. Took me less than a 1.5 hours to get here from NOLA and took my friends about 1.5 to get here from BR.10/10 recommend this and I will definitely be back!”

“Madison Arena is a really excellent trainer. After having some harrowing incidents with horse riding, she was so patient about helping me back into the saddle and riding comfortably and confidently again (even back to being ok jumping!) She is also very well educated on horses themselves and horse welfare as all of her horses are beautifully taken care of and no corners are ever cut. I would trust any one of my friends and family in her training program, regardless of their abilities or age!”

“I went on the Silo city river/walking tour last Thursday. Mike was my tour guide and he did a fantastic job entertaining a group of 35 people. “We went on a two-tank shore dive at Shark’s Cove yesterday and it was one of the best dives we have ever been on. We saw multiple eels, sea turtles, and most of our small group saw a white-tip shark. The Cathedral swim through was so beautiful and it was fun swimming through the various lava tubes. I was a little hesitant at first, but then it was really fun and mesmerizing. Julian was our dive master and he was the nicest and most accommodating dive master we have dived with. He was always making sure that we were comfortable, explained everything we would be seeing, and even helped us find our camera when it got lost. I had a hard time regulating, as my ears were giving me some issues. He made sure I was okay and kept the dive very relaxed and was so helpful. I felt very comfortable the whole time. I cannot recommend Hawaii Eco Divers enough! 100% worth it! Thank you, Julian and Hawaii Eco Divers.”

They have a nice tack area with a kitchen where we can hang out during lessons. The indoor arena is adjacent to one of the barns and you do not have to go out in the rain after you tack up. “Our family made a trip to Big Rock last night and I have to say that it was truly a magical evening! We were so impressed at how organized this event was. An added plus was the free parking. The lines for food/beverages were short and moved fast. There were lots and lots of fire pits available as well as restrooms. The winter market was so fun with some really unique vendors. We would definitely go back. If you haven’t visited Big Rock yet, you need to add it to your bucket list!!!!”

“My husband and I stayed in Cabin 20 this past weekend and had a fabulous time. The temperature in Big Bear was exceptionally hot, but before we checked in Loraine had gone up to the cabin to ensure all the blinds were closed up and had the window AC unit on ready for our arrival. We enjoyed the close proximity to the Village, and our cabin (being higher up on the hill) even had a peekaboo view of the lake. Definitely recommend choosing Cabin 20 since it is up higher than the rest and thus provides a little more privacy. The in-cabin jacuzzi is a huge bonus! The cabin also has a fireplace with complimentary wood that they provide—it was a little too warm this weekend for us to use, but would be a great amenity for the wintertime! We’re looking forward to coming back.”

The views are pretty and make for some great pictures. They have a visitor center that has some snacks, drinks and things to see if you need to stretch your legs a bit.”
