Nice covered play area. Plenty of picnic tables. There's a pool (not sure if it's open). Unfortunately, the basketball, meeting rooms are all closed. Sitting and going to waste.”

Caballo Loco Ranch LLC

Address: 14475 W Britten Ranch Rd, Tucson, AZ 85736, USA

Rv park Campground Lodging Park

“Interesting remote RV park on what appears to be a former mining area? Daily, weekly, monthly and yearly spots. Some are full hookups, some are dry camping. Community center, trash dumpsters, washroom showers, central fresh water spigots for the dry campers. Seems to be an interesting community of folks that return year after year. Staff was very friendly even to those that showed up without a reservation or prior notice. They found us a spot for a couple nites per our needs. Cell signal is poor for TMobile and Verizon, slightly better with ATT. RV area is rolling ridges and steep sections, this is not a flat RV park. The access road from paved hwy was 7.9 miles of washboard sandy dusty dirt so be warned.”

Molino Basin Campground

“Big Beautiful campground that’s no longer maintained. Grass over grown weeds high and more. If you go during monsoon season you’ll be lucky to find the water flowing down the rocks onto the road. Nice place to make a few s’mores or cook a few hot dogs on one of the many grills. Just beware that the weeds are a lil high and grass to your ankles so go prepared. Overall it’s a good place to get in touch with nature while getting away from the city.”

It's never packed anytime I come there is a soccer field as well as a baseball field there's plenty of climbing structures as well as benches and barbecues. They have swing at both parks, and lots of sand to dig. The bathrooms are as to be expected for a park restroom a little on the dirty side but I always bring it sanitizer wipes when I come to the park! Kids had fun”

Sabino Canyon Recreation Area

Address: 5700 N Sabino Canyon Rd, Tucson, AZ 85750, USA

Park

“We took the trolley up and enjoyed the scenery and the information in the tour. We especially appreciated the strictly enforced mask wearing as we have frail family members at home to protect. Half our group hiked the ridge back down and the rest of us rode back one stop then walked the rest of the way. We had a wheelchair with us and the road was manageable for able bodied people to push it. There were some pretty good uphill sections so we got a great workout. The scenery was so beautiful! We stopped at most of the creek crossings and our chair user was able to get out and walk around a bit. We were a as all SO happy to find somewhere to safely be outside together.”

I am waiting for some rain so I can go see the water running during the nature walk. I've encountered a lot of bunnies and birds. There is a perfect spot for watching the sunrise towards the end of the loop. It used to be an animal sanctuary but you can see the toll the drought has taken on the flora.”
