They’ve got a decent drink selection too, including smoothies and coffee. I orders a merman smoothie, which was a nice contrast to the eclectic community bowl. The staff is super friendly and fun, and the space is open inviting, if small. This spot is certainly worth a try.”

After a long day at Universal Studios, we stopped here for a coffee & snack before heading home. I had their Funnel Fries accompanied with a White Mocha, I loved their Funnel Fries but was not a fan of the White Mocha. Inside seating is limited but there are a couple more tables outside. Customer service could be better, I describe it very monotone but the Cafe itself is very convenient with plenty of yummy menu items.”

The area is spacious and big TV to watch sports. The reason I gave 4 stars because there was a casino host name Jessica. All she does is shoeshine players and argue with players. There is no needs of her on floor. We had floor persons already. I am going stopping coming here due to her. Toxic environment at tile section because of her.”

I ordered the 치즈떡볶이, 스팸컵밥, and 김말이 for the side. And I'm so happy that I did! It tastes good. I love how chewy the rice cakes are and fried fish cakes are really yummy. 컵밥 is a bit salty though. Spam itself is salty so I don't want to complain about it. I would like to visit here again.”

They spared no expense on the massive, visible kitchen; the centrally located bar, various indoor and outdoor seating areas, a free parking lot for motorcycles adjacent to the restaurant with uniformed security. My friend ordered the Full Bike Shed Breakfast. Looked great - you could see the quality ingredients - it was all cold however - including the eggs. I ordered the Breakfast Buddha Bowl. Gorgeous to look at, full of wonderful ingredients - missing a dressing with some acid - tasted like they just poured some olive oil on it. So...I'd go back - chalking the food issues off to opening month.”

“This popular worker-owned cooperative in Atwater Village knows how to make pastries. Their croissants get pretty good marks on my scoreboard: flaky outside, moist inside, with a nice buttery taste. A little bit on the light and soft side, but that's all I can nitpick. Other items I've tried are on point too, including za'atar croissant, ham and cheese croissant, savory scone, and canelé. That said, I got bored after a few weeks going to Proof. However nice the staff seems, the vibe of the bakery is that of a business, not of a neighbor. There is always one staff member behind the counter to prepare the order, and another person at the cashier for the payment. The streamline process inadvertently makes it harder to initiate a meaningful, personal interaction and makes the experience more transactional. At the end of the day, when the pastry is long gone, there is little left to remember.”
