Their Carne Asada wasn't bad. I expected it to be quite flavorless, was surprised. Now don't expect backyard, family at the park Carne Asada, but it was good. Their black beans was not for me, the Pico de Gallo in them was a surprise. Not for me, didn't mind them at the same time. Do look into their happy hour timeframes. Definitely worth it!”

This place must be high end. I heard some of these homes are going for $300,000. Oh my. Inside the place I'm working in it definitely looks every penny. I hope I am able to retire here with my wifey one day. The streets are clean and you never see any trash. It's a beautiful place for sure.”

I was amazed at how the front dest attendants were all very nice and if you did have an issue they would work with you. They were even cool enough to have a conversation and asked me how I was doing and took an interest. I felt safe and got good rest and relaxation. Traffic is a bit noisy.. but I like how there was a 24 gas station convenience store like right next door and they also had laundry facility. So in all i have nothing but good things to say about. The owner, Fran, and all of the caregivers are truly angels who genuinely care about the residents. They treat every resident like a family member. They provide an uplifting atmosphere, and beautifully decorate the home for each of the holiday seasons. “If you are looking for a clean place to sleep in Venice, this is a good choice. It’s in a good locations, lots to do and see within walking distance. A ton of homeless people are lined up right outside but they keep to themselves for the most part. It’s like a ghost town when the sun goes down. I stayed here with my teen son and we tried to be back before dark. There is a bike rental shop a few buildings down so it was convenient to get bikes and ride down to the Santa Monica pier. There is no AC but there had two fans in the room. They had us on the first floor with windows opened upon our arrival. I didn’t feel safe being on first floor with windows open so I had maintenance come lock my windows. If you’d like windows open, probably best to request a room on 2nd floor or up. No frills, basic, outdated, hollow floors so you can hear people walking. It’s tolerable if you’re low maintenance. For the price and location it’s a good choice.”

“Spend the day at La Paloma and enjoyed it. I will be returning soon ... I am considering purchasing a property there. They have security personnel patrolling throughout the complex and many security cameras, plenty of amenities. Although the property is over 30 years old, the entire complex is well maintained. There is also a newer Time Share building option in the complex. Although the beach is NOT private, it seems as it would be. Very clean and not crowded. Great place to spend a weekend (or vacation) !!!”
