“Another great meal at Zelda's. Wednesday concert at the Esplanade, with my clam chowder bread bowl. It's one of my favorites in the area. Great flavor. Love the bread. Please don't order the bread bowl and leave the bread, lol. It makes me sad when I see people do that. Their coconut cheesecake is to die for but since I have had it multiple times, decided to try the bread pudding. It was delicious too. Had a great mocha and coffee as well. The views is awesome too. Witnessed a lot of dive bombing birds diving for their dinner in the ocean while I was dive bombing my plate.”

“Great experience, will come back. We came by late on a weekday, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We sat outside, where it was easy to talk, and the sound of cars was not in any way disruptive. I liked the cultural style and interior design of the place as well. “One of my favourite date night is four dollar sign omakase. But obviously that’s not realistic on a frequent basis. When I’m craving for one of those date nights but don’t want to spend four dollar signs, we go to Sushi Tomi!! We always know that we’ll be happy because that’s what Sushi Tomi is - reliable! We always ONLY get their nigiris (from their a-la-carte nigiri menu, not the sets) and we sometimes think that the freshness of their fish rival other high end sushi restaurants. IMO this is the best way to eat here - only get their nigiri’s and try your best to order from their handwritten special fish menu. They probably make less money from fresh nigiri than a cooked bento box so that’s why I think it’s a better bang for your buck!! Their scallops and tuna are very good - the baseline for a good sushi spot ;) Uni can vary sometimes but still very good for a day to day spot. We also love the Eel Roll!!!! We get it each time and I always alternate between the nigiri’s and the eel roll for the perfect bites! We’ve never tried their omakase as I enjoy selecting my preferred nigiris instead at a place like this. Before going, set your expectations and know that it will usually be at least a 30 minute wait for weekend dinners. Though annoying, I think it’s a testament that I’m not the only one that think this is a great place! There is no online waitlist, you must be physically present to put your name down. I find that the wait here is shorter than the Mountain View location and the atmosphere is more comfortable as it’s more spacious and quiet. While I love the nigiri’s, a growth area for them is their service. They can be slow at times with getting items (such as chopsticks or refilling tea) but it doesn’t stop us from thinking that’s it’s one of our favourite spots!”

“This was our first food stop on our LA trip. We loved it so much during our last visit that we made a beeline here on our way to Disneyland. My friend and I ordered a Double-Double burger, Animal Style fries, and a cheeseburger with grilled onions and extra cheese. The burgers were just as amazing as I remembered - crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, with fresh ingredients that hit the spot. It was my first time trying the Animal Style fries, and the cheese and bacon combo gave it an extra kick. Starting our trip with such delicious food was the perfect way to kick things off. “This is a hole in the wall kinda place, nothing fancy. We came based on the reviews. We ordered red curry with chicken, pad see ew with pork, spicy chicken wings, a chef’s special and mango sticky rice. The portion was big for all of them and the price was cheap for the amount of food we got. Chicken with Red curry wasn’t really “red” but the flavor was good. It has a strong coconut taste. Pad see ew flavor was good, the noodles could be a bit more chewy. Spicy chicken wings were unexpected. The Thai wings i had in the past were mostly dry but these ones had a lot of sauce. The wings were over-fried and the hot sauce smell was over powering. The chef’s special (C2) came with so many types of meat. I didn’t really like the chicken. The ribs were good. The beef jerky were the best out of all the ones we got. It’s a good dish to try everything. We had to have Mango sticky rice for dessert. Mango was fresh but sticky rice was a bit dry. Overall, it’s worth the visit for the price.”

But I ended up getting a cheeseburger - and I'm not even joking, that was literally one of the best burgers I've ever had in Sacramento. The bun was amazing, had a crunch on the inside but soft on the outside, the patty was well seasoned, fresh produce, and no sauces needed other than the mayo they have on the burger. I still want to try the pastrami burger, and will come back for it so I can change that 4⭐ to a 5⭐. Staff was friendly and the food came out pretty quick. Do not - I REPEAT - do not be discouraged to come to a taqueria for a burger. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! I wish I took a picture of the burger but I was way too hungry to care for it.”

“My mom saw it while on our way to our Airbnb, on Friday and said she wanted to check them out, after our way back home today (Sunday) and we’re so pleased we did! It definitely gives it, “like you’re back at home, visiting family” atmosphere. Kevin takes the order (if the order is big, also with the help of his mom!!!) and then brings it out to you, offering to get your drink for you, also with a napkin, utensils and sides of red or green chili— I’m a sucker for both, but the green chili is my favorite! The red chili is really good, too! I shared with him that we’re visiting from AZ. He then shared that it’s his mom’s restaurant and they were up the road for 6 years, before they moved over here, at this current location, and that they really liked this location, because it’s more spacious for everyone, including customer parking! The food was really good and well priced for the serving size! Just the only thing I was shocked about, was soda for $2.00, whereas the bottles of Gatorade/Snapple were $2.75, but it was all worth it! Highly recommend! I definitely will be back when visiting this side of Cali!!!!”
