“I've used Lemus plumbing on a couple occasions and they are my "go to" when things go wrong that are beyond my ability. Recently had a PEX joint leaking in the attic and the brothers came out early morning the next day and fixed it using all the proper connections and tools. Very professional and friendly! Family owned and I know they will do things the right way the first time and give good advice when needed.”

“I can’t say enough amazing and incredible things about the extremely talented eye doctor/surgeon, Dr. Mitra Nejad!!! In short, I was living a complete nightmare for 9 months because of a botched cataract surgery. Before that procedure I wore +1.50 low grade prescription glasses for reading, to barely being able to see. My life changed 100% and to say I was miserable is a gross understatement. During those 9 months I did everything I could to find help, I was desperate. My journey was long because I couldn’t find a doctor who knew how to fix my eyesight. Some said it couldn’t be done without “completely losing your eyesight” and the rest said it couldn’t be done… period. Finally one very well respected ophthalmologist told me I was completely screwed and that if it could be fixed it would have to be by a “damn good surgeon”. He then referred me to The Stein Institute at UCLA followed by “that’s where you’ll find some of the best in the country”. That is when my luck changed… the day I met Dr. Mitra Nejad at The Stein Institute/UCLA Medical Center. Professional, caring, highly skilled, highly intelligent, and she knew she could perform this surgery with absolute certainty. Flash forward 3 months, I now have 20/20 vision… don’t need glasses or contacts!!! I am so incredibly blessed to have found her and I’m living proof of her unique skills and what she can do for others. I will never forget this remarkable woman.”

“Very clean and organized. The brunch is a 3 out of 5 The Green Chilaquiles were good but had a very acidic taste (like the green tomatoes weren’t ripe) We also got the Birria Egg Benedict & the potatoes tasted like they were cook and left out for hours, very disappointing. The horchata waffles were pretty good. The food presentation was very good, overall taste could have been better.”

“Not the cutest picture but wowowow ordered the beef kebab and was amazed. We eat Mediterranean food a lot and this is by far the juiciest, well-seasoned, tender steak kebab we’ve ever had. It was pretty busy but still came out within 10-15 min. Can’t wait to come back and order more!”

“After three different quotes we chose Pasco Tile, Marble & Granite LLC because their quote was the most reasonable and within our budget. Pasco has been in business for more than 36 years and he knows his stuff. He is licensed and bonded. He and his sons do beautiful work and will stand behind it. He takes on one job at a time and completes it before moving on to the next. Each day the paths and working areas were covered and cleaned up before leaving. Pasco would let us know what would come next and have the appropriate tradesmen come to complete their tasks. We were pleased that they took their time to do the job right and paid attention to detail. It took 8 days to finish the work and another 3 days for the glass man to have the shower door made and installed. We are absolutely thrilled with our new bathroom, a night and day difference! We absolutely made the right decision hiring Pasco and his team.”

“Let me tell you about the ANGELS that saved my life tonight! Ken’s Towing did! If I could give then 100 stars I would!!! So apparently these new electric cars will show you that there is a certain amount of gas in your vehicle and there is not, but it’s my fault— I ran out of gas in an area that doesn’t have gas for about 60 miles. I called my insurance company hysterically and they were going to arrange a towing company to bring me some gas. They called me back about 45 minutes later saying no one will come out to where I was because it was in the middle of nowhere, I’m on my own. My husband had contacted this towing company from Mississippi. I was broke down in between Ludlow and Needles California. Ken’s towing was an hour and a half away from me and she said absolutely no problem and these people came out in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere to give me some gas when no one else would! Then since my car is electric, it was going crazy because apparently you can’t let electric cars gas go empty. This man stayed with me and charged my vehicle until it got running (it took over 30 min, prob more) and then followed me to a gas station and made sure it still started after I got gas so that I could get to a charging station so I wouldn’t mess up my vehicle! Long story short I owe these people my life and they were absolutely angels looking over me tonight! Thank you so much to the dispatcher and man who came to rescue me!”

“Helpful. Safe. Health a priority. Thankful. For those with mental health issues that come here for anxiety and already have a therapist they work with, if you accidentally say too much, they will call DPS officers to handcuff you and then send you off somewhere. You will be put in hand cuffs and shipped off somewhere. It would have been better for me to be alone, go back to my apartment with my roommate, done therapy, the next week, and then hoped for the best. The university wants nothing to do with a student in need in a circumstance like this nor will they follow up or make comment, and you and your family (Mom and Dad, or both, will have to deal with everything afterwards). We're not upset about this, just there has to be a better system to help students that are having a hard time. Many people that are having a hard time refuse help and suffer in silence anyways. My family did not deserve the concern they had to have by sending me to some psych facility nor did the medication at Las Encinas really resolve anything. Also for reference I understood I was LGBTQ+ at the beginning of university at my time beginning in Spring of 2015 so I should have just come out or began to find peers so I can speak of this comfortably and feel okay.”

“I’ve been here twice, both w friends. To get here, you can even search for “Getty Center Parking” on your maps app. Parking costs $25, but it’s $15 after 3:00 PM. Tickets are free but must be reserved in advance. You’re allowed in within one hour of your designated time. Give yourself some time to get to the center; you’ll need to parking in a giant multi-floor garage where spaces are rather small (note the code for your area), and then take an elevator to the security line for the tram. There are bathrooms in this area and it’s open air. You can even see a nice sculpture here. You’re allowed to pack a little picnic and food items, even though there are at least 2 places where they sell food and drink inside. Some people have a little picnic on the greens, near the garden, where the grass lawn is perfect. Then, the tram comes every so often and shows you a great little panoramic view of LA and its hills. It’s very clean and has shaded windows. The main entrance has some stairs. Not sure about accessibility here. Then there are several buildings where you can see the art collections. There are elevators indoors and also map guides in multiple languages, including Spanish and Chinese. There’s also a Getty store when you first get inside. The botanical garden is wonderful / my fave, and the sculpture garden and catcus garden are also great. You could easily spend a day here wandering through everything. There are fountains and pools, and the garden has a little winding labryinth and all kinds of amazing blooms and rest areas. Getty has a villa in a separate location. The Getty Center can also be reached by public transportation. I’ll be back for sure. This is the perfect place to take new visitors to LA.”

“Best dental office I’ve ever experienced!!!! Staff is all wonderful. From hygienist, assistants, secretaries to dentists; professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I see Dr Gill. My last appointment with him I had a bone graft and an extraction. When he put my chair back up, and said “all done” I was speechless! First time this has ever happened to me. He is also gentle with the numbing. I have referred 4 people to him and they are ALL very happy!”
