“We love it here!!! The in-laws have invited me and my wife to go camping. The lake is way higher than last year. So I enjoyed fishing and playing in the water. In the two trips, I caught a largemouth bass and a freshwater drum. And every time we go, we see turkeys and baby turkeys lots of babies. Can't wait til next year.”

“The grass is amazing and looks better than it has in years. My small girls and enjoyed sitting in the grass and eating lunch. It was a wonderful picnic!!! The bathrooms were so clean and did not smell! Usually my kids do not like going in park bathrooms because they are dirty and stink.”

“Very reasonable. Looks better, when inside. Many trees, grass, and well maintained. Also got a little of everything you need, very close by”

“I've only come here a few times with some running groups, but I really enjoy the trails here. I would also point out it's an excellent place to go for late fall and winter because the sun hits the trails full on and keeps them dryer! In summer it can get quite hot with lack of shade - definitely bring your sunscreen for this area!”

“Natural spacious sites. Impeccably clean bathrooms. Water closest to site B01 where we stayed. Beautiful park to explore and camp in. Saw deer and elk at our campsite. Very close to downtown estes park and RMNP. Love this campground!!!!!”

“Don’t tell your friends about this spot. It’s a hidden gem. New facilities are a great addition and the camp host does a good job of keep this place clean.”

“Positives: Nice sites. Few trees. Beautiful views. Ready water access. Great shade shelters at tables. The beach is simply divine; soft sand, nice temperature, shallow many feet out so safer for little people. Negatives: Not close to the showers. Not close to even a pit toilet. The oath shown on the maps to access the beach isn't there anymore so the walk is significantly longer than expected from this Northview.”

“For those of you that can't get out to hunt wild pheasant but still love the thrill of shooting and eating them I HIGHLY recommend A-Plus Game Birds. Nick and his team are awesome and have some healthy fat birds right now. Whether you want pheasant, chuckar, or quail they got what you want. It is family oriented and great to get your little ones out on their first hunts with guaranteed success. I took my 9 and 12 year old out and she killed her first bird yesterday. It's a great way to train a new dog as well. They will set up the hunt to exactly what you want/need to make it fun and successful. I have gone to him every year and never been dissiapointed. He is a vet and loves helping vets out as well. Don't miss out and I promise it's worth the drive.”

“Golden Eagle was our first stop on our camping journey through Colorado with our bumper pull camper. Knowing where to turn and go is a little challenging in the dark so I definitely recommend arriving while the sun is up. Upon arrival we stopped to read the Map where a group of camp hosts were sitting. No one at that stop offered to help. However, as we rounded to the next road there was a lady that met us and who was extremely helpful and nice. The campground itself is pretty nice. There's a dog park and a lake with plenty of wildlife to see. The actual lots are not really even so leveling everything up took extra time. Overall the campground is nice and we would stay here again.”

“The owner has set the standard for what Good Samaritan mine clean up is. Take a look at the USFS AML maps online. The bipartisan infrastructure law is supposed to encourage cleanup and restoration of long abandoned mines. God bless you for being the one to show how that is done by example. As far as the bad review, remember, these are folks that need signs telling them not to swim in the Grand Prismatic. Everyone else notices and values all the effort put into making it EHWR. The EHWR is teaming with wildlife. It is not a zoo or a tourist spot. It is a refuge. For animals, plants, and the human spirit.”

“One of the better open space I've been too. Definitely very nice scenery on a clody day. Everything looks more sharp, with more contrast.”

“Very nice. Something about the surrounding neighborhood gives this playground a great feel. It's walk in, like most and I don't think it gets too windy there because of its low area surrounded by nice backyards. I think there is a 2-5 playground and a 5 and up.”

“Have only been staying here a few days but don't plan on leaving anytime soon. The owner is amazing. Her and the maintenance man, "Cowboy" helped us out a lot. We ran into a big problem when we first moved here that wasn't really our fault or theirs, but they helped us greatly to get the problem taken care of. These people actually care about you and aren't just out for your money and will make you feel at home. Can't say the same about the RV ranch down the road. This place is gorgeous and a hidden gem. You'll see all kinds of birds and wildlife and their cows are free range and will come pretty close too! Almost don't want to write a review cause I don't want too many people finding out about this place haha. The only thing is to make sure you bring stuff to level out your camper because it's on a bit of a hill/slant. We had no issues getting up the dirt road here.”

“Nice lake to fish, some camping sites are NOT for RVers, there are some on the back site, I wouldn't stay in a tent for, I think you need to be brave or stupid. I'm sure the view is spectacular, not worth it to me. I think it's a non-motorized lake, canoes, paddle boards, etc.”

“We were in dispersed camping nearby and this was our go to spot to pay for laundry and showers! We were so thankful this was here! They have very nice facilities and a great store to get most of the things you need while camping. We found out they just recently changed ownership this year and were trying to see if they offer monthly rates in the very least during low season. We would love to come stay in our rv for the winter.”

“This is the TH for Pawnee Pass as well as a shorter trip just to Long Lake. The pass is awesome but a serious hike and watch the weather for thunderstorms in the summer!”

“I love this little park! I go there just for walks with my dog. It is a great option for me when I am running errands in the Target area and want to take my dog for a quick walk. They do have restrooms, but I don't know if they are open year round. They have a picnic area too and a rentable space in the barn. There are usually at least a few people playing on the playground, but it is rarely super busy. This place is just very pretty and a great place for a picnic or a quick walk. There are also owls in the area, and you can sometimes spot them. You can also see people skydiving off in the distance. It is just a nice area and pretty peaceful.”

“We just had a weekend-long family reunion at The Fort and I was extremely impressed overall. From the beginning, Kindra and the rest of the staff were such a joy to work with. They were thorough, responsive, and so helpful in getting us set up! The venue itself is stunning and the views are unbeatable! Nothing like spending the day near the river, watching the longhorns, exploring, and ending the day with stunning sunsets. The kitchen was so well stocked and we had everything we needed to prepare meals for our large family! There’s plenty of space for everyone to lounge, play, visit, and relax. You really get more than your monies worth staying here! Thank you for hosting us for such an amazing weekend!”

“Heron Pond National Area is an incredibly beautiful and serene destination. The trails are well-maintained and provide stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The wildlife is abundant, and it's easy to spot a variety of birds and animals throughout the park. Whether you're a nature lover or just looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, Heron Pond National Area is the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with the world around you. I highly recommend this park for anyone looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating outdoor experience.”

“First time here. Fewer people here than Garden of the Gods and I'd consider that a good thing. The trails varied in difficulty somewhat, but none of them were terribly hard. Ended up doing about 10 miles on the various loops and got some decent elevation gain. Very pretty scenery.”

“This course was fun and challenging. The fairways were well designed and required forehand and backhand shots as well as demand a good scramble game to get a par. Nice mix of open and wooded holes as well as long and short holes. Also, there is great signage and concrete tee pads. You will never need to guess where to go next. Lastly the owner Jeremy was very nice and offered some helpful advice for some of the holes. I will definitely try to come back.”

“This is a great park! Lots of pet enforcement to keep dogs on leash. The walking path is nice. It gets really crowded on weekends in the summer. The tubing is so much fun. Try to get the shuttle if you can! It’s worth it!”

“Open park, nice friendly and clean. Has Wide grassy areas and children play areas; dog park. Some limited bike paths; nice hiking trails going uphill. No off path biking / hiking, somewhat restrictive. Also can get crowded in week end. Good if you're looking for a piece of a big park in nobo.”
