“Convenient and open year-round. Many beautiful sites on the lake with nice views and sunsets. Some sites are downhill back-in and can be tough to navigate. But most are generally level, and quite private. Check site details on the website for appropriate lengths. The bathhouses are not particularly convenient, and are over due for an update… But overall, we enjoy the quiet and the views at this park.”

“We've camped in 4 of the 5 available campsites at Fanny's Ford Campground over the last couple of years. With a short mile hike from the parking, this is a great place for a quick overnight or get-a-way that offers some beautiful scenery and great local hiking. Each primitive campsite has a tent pad and a separate fire pit pad that includes a bench and a fire ring with grate. There is a hanging pole located at each site. The attached map shows the correct location for the pit toilet (red outline is the new/correct location), which approx. 15 yards from site 1. There is a wood bin near the pit toilet and the park typically leaves a small bundle of wood for each site, which is really nice when there is cooler weather. If you have the choice, I recommend staying in sites 2, 4 or 5. These offer the best separation from the other campsites. Campsites 1 and 3 are too close together IMO; however, would be good options if you had a small group wanting to camp together using both sites. Reservations can be made online via the Eno River State Park site making it easy to check availability and which site you want. Highly recommended for some great local camping.”

“More like a residential neighborhood than your typical rv park. Very quiet, no barking dogs, large spacious lots, area clean and well kept. Location is perfect for shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. The manager is very nice and makes sure that the tenants are doing well. There is limited onsite minor repairs available. The downside is there are almost no amenities here. Only one washer and dryer at the office, no propane, no camp store or pool. Nothing for kids.”

“We had the best camping experience at this place! It's extremely clean, the staff is amazing. We locked the keys in the car 30 seconds after arriving, and the owner used his AAA membership to have a truck come and unlock us. My kids loved the animals, as well as the mini golf and playground We enjoyed hiking, quiet camping and friendliness all around. We will DEFINITELY go back!!!!”

“This park is huge, with so many different attractions for cheap prices. The playground is gigantic. And even a section for disabled children. There is mini zoo, miniature golf, train, carousel plus more. Make it a family day and grill at one of the shelters.”

“My whole family loves Dan Nicholas Park! It is definitely one of the best parts we've ever been to. The playground alone is awesome! We really liked that the bathrooms are close by. And the kids are always thrilled to ride the train and the carousel. The animals are special little bonus that the whole family enjoys. It is a place that we can go and I actually have a good time without breaking the bank. Would like to pack a picnic and spend the day here.”

“Beautiful, peaceful, relaxing place to stay! I love it here! I've traveled all around the United States, staying in many campgrounds and I have to say this is definitely one of my favorites! The neighbors are all extremely friendly and welcoming! The manager here is always available, helpful and makes sure everyone is taken care of! You couldn't ask for a better experience or place to call home while you're here!! Would most definitely stay here again and will be sad when it is time to leave! Overall AWESOME!! “We came here to camp for the weekend with others that had a camper. We were hammock camping which wasn't really ideal in the RV area, but we made it work. The area was way to crowded to me. Everyone was on top of each other. The campground area itself was awesome. There are bathrooms close by. There is free mini golf. There is a little store with some camping essentials. There are hiking trails near by. We went to the other side of the creek and rented kayaks. It was only $4 per hour. I would recommend getting there earlier in the day because we got there in the afternoon and there were only two kayaks left and they were both 3 person kayaks. If I came back again, I would camp in the primitive camping area.”
