Earl Boyles Park

Address: 10740 SE Francis St, Portland, OR 97266, USA

Park

“I have a toddler and a 5 year old so I really appreciate the fact that the playground and splash-pad are so close together so that I don't have to keep getting up and moving from place to place whenever one of my kids decides to change locations. I was able to lay a blanket down on the grass in the shade and stay there the whole time. Really comfortable, super laid-back atmosphere, not too many people. The park was really big... Much bigger than I expected for a small neighborhood park. The main drawback was how many bees there were on the grass with those little white flowers all over the place. Definitely not a place to be barefoot. Overall pretty clean, although I didn't use the bathroom on site, so can't speak for the overall cleanliness.”

Park Fire station

“It had been maybe 6 or 7 years since we walked at Powell Butte and returned to find it better than we remembered. Meadow grasses had matured and paths we're in great condition. The steeper trails on the forested back corner were appreciated for variety and a decent workout to boot. Really felt like we had left Portland behind for somewhere very different. An added bonus, due to the topography, the summit loop path is shielded from the traffic noise below making this a sound refuge as well. Ahhh...”

“Grew up nearby. Tonya Harding lived in the apartments right next to this park during the whole Nancy Kerrigan knee-whacking business went down. My friend's mom lived their too so we knew exactly which apartment was Tonya's, so we'd go knock on her door and yell "Portland police department, serving a search warrant" and oh man did we hear the Tennessee shuffle go on in that apartment when we did. She must've been sh@#*ing her leotard...”

Hidden Falls Nature Park

Only bad thing is there is alot of development happening and it make it seem a little sad how much of the country side is getting eaten away. But it was very cool and peacefull. The ionized environment from the fall really make you feel revitalized”

Meldrum Bar Park

Address: 19 Meldrum Bar Park Rd, Gladstone, OR 97027, USA

Park

“One of my favorite parks on the Willamette River. Round rock beach, I would recommend to anyone who plans on visiting here to bring water shoes or tennis shoes because the beach will shift under your feet and I can Tell you from experience that it's not a soft landing. The boat ramp and shallow grade means there will be tons of jetskis and ski boats making wake but they put on a heck of a show. Beach Patrol is pretty stringent so its not a party destination. Great for families and people looking to take a dip in the water.”

Sara Hite Rose Garden

Address: 5440 SE Kellogg Creek Dr, Portland, OR 97222, USA

Park

“Gorgeous grounds full of blooming roses and lush grass. We came for a picnic and there was lots of space to spread out and not be clumped together.”

Foege Park

Address: 125 NW Cedar Hills Blvd, Portland, OR 97229, USA

Park

“Foege Park is a lineal park running along both sides of Cedar Hills Blvd. I take my daily walk in a section of the park where there is an 8 foot sidewalk running around a grassy area, so I can walk and still keep my social distance from others. Also, I 'm away from the busy streets with their narrow sidewalks where people walking on the sidewalk would have to step into the street to keep their distance. Lately, someone has been creating children's chalk obstacle courses on the sidewalk I walk on that are just delightful! (And, yes, I do try them out.)”
