“It's a little noisy considering how fast off the highway it is located, but it's not obnoxiously loud. The laundry room add clean and accessible but you don't get everything dry the first time. The staff is super friendly, the spots are spacious, but not every spot has a fire ring and no pucnic tables. That wasn't a deal breaker for us as we weren't there during the day. There is cable TV spaces and non cable spaces and we choose no TV. This trip was to unplug for us. The prices were perfect. Definitely would camp here again!”

“The Resort at Erie Landing is amazing! The staff, the grounds, the accommodations and the management are all wonderful. Jen goes above and beyond to help make sure we have the best time. This was our third year going and we are already planning to book for next year. The resort has so much to offer for all ages. The entertainment and the activities are all so much fun. They really take the time and care to ensure that every camper has a positive experience. You can tell that they are putting money back into the resort to improve everything from the cottages to adding more amenities. Staying here is a must ! Thank you Erie Resort!”

“Nice campground. A little pricey as you have to use their firewood ($7 a bundle - we used about 5 a day since they are pretty small) and no outside alcohol allowed, so with the site fee, you will spend around $80-$100 a day to stay here. If you are good with that, nice views and campsites are well spread out from each other, as well as free coffee in the mornings, which is a nice amenity.”

“This place has been a blessing over the years, most recently I had family come up from Florida for a wedding. They just needed a place to park the motorhome for a few bucks. Cottonwood is a No frills camping location providing a basic tent or RV location for weekend plans in the area. This is a Budget freindly option when you have more important things to focus on. “We love it here!!! The in-laws have invited me and my wife to go camping. The lake is way higher than last year. So I enjoyed fishing and playing in the water. In the two trips, I caught a largemouth bass and a freshwater drum. And every time we go, we see turkeys and baby turkeys lots of babies. Can't wait til next year.”

“One of the best campgrounds I have ever been too. My wife and I stayed at the deluxe cabin and it was such a great experience. There are trails around for activities and Mayville is only 5 minutes away. It was in a great location. Everything was extremely clean and well kept. The only issue we had was with the futon, it was very uncomfortable. We ended up using the twin mattresses instead. Loved how there was a shower and toilet right inside, it made life so much easier. Would definitely stay here again.”

“A nice REMOTE campground. Be warned if you are expecting all the amenities in normal campgrounds, there is no running water or ranger station near by with firewood. The road on the way up is one lane, narrow, and part of it is unpaved getting there is not meant for all vehicles. Other then that it is a nice campground with great hiking trails, really takes you out of the city. I recommend this campground, but do come prepared if not a seasoned camper.”

The only issue we had was that we checked in on Sunday not knowing the office was closed, and there was no information as to where to go or how to get set up. With that being said, we would definitely stay here again.”

“Our family made a trip to Big Rock last night and I have to say that it was truly a magical evening! We were so impressed at how organized this event was. An added plus was the free parking. The lines for food/beverages were short and moved fast. There were lots and lots of fire pits available as well as restrooms. The winter market was so fun with some really unique vendors. We would definitely go back. If you haven’t visited Big Rock yet, you need to add it to your bucket list!!!!”

“Hiking the Long Lake Loop in the Matanuska Lakes State Recreation Area traverses you through forested and open grassy fields nestled between multiple lakes. The hiking paths have signage to guide you to different trails and lakes. The trail paths are well worn including the paths through the grassy fields. It is recommended to bring bug spray, sunscreen, noise maker/bear spray and stay alert while you enjoy the trails solo or with others. There is a $7 parking fee for day use and machine is located near the restrooms.”

“Perfect for stopping in. Awesome because it's free WITH electrical and water hookups. Good dump station. The smell is kind of weird here but not unbearable. Not good for my dog because the grass has a ton of prickleys. Very good size lots, our 35 foot camper and extended bed truck fit with plenty of room! Highly recommend for stopping through!”

“This place is absolutely breathtaking. The sights are wonderful. They have a great pool, a basketball court, a small workout area, and a kids' playground. There's also a cute little store. I would highly recommend visiting here. We booked the place for an aviation Merit Badge, but due to weather, we had to cancel at the last minute. Staff were really friendly and helpful, and they cancel our booking.We booked for another weekend when weather was really beautiful.”

“This campground is very nice. There is a lot of space between the sites. The bathrooms are clean. There is no wifi but we didn't mind. One thing ng is to get here, use the directions from your phone and not the GPS in your RV or car. We found out the hard way that it took us the wrong way and you most definitely don't want to be on those roads with an RV.”
