“Went here to refurbish my 2011 Trek 3 Series hard tail. I knew it needed some work as it hadn't been ridden in quite awhile. The owner was very professional, helpful, and was honest about the work (including the various price tiers). He has specialty bikes and equipment there for sale, which were well above my Trek, but he reassured that he could get the bike working like a champ again and wasn't trying to hard sell me out of my Trek. When I left, I realized that the work done on it was with an attention to detail. I've since been riding on various trails at San Tan Mountain. Haven't had a complaint and I'm glad to have my bike back. I'll plan on returning with any major maintenance inquiries and any other future business. The experience and result was well worth it.”

“I brought my bike into the shop today with a malfunctioning hand break. I was greeted right when I walked in and helped immediately. I was thrilled it was a simple fix. The technician educated me on how to fix it if the problem arises again and educated me on a few other bike tips. I was expecting to drop it off and pay at least $100. “I recently took my Diamondback Mountain Bike to Routes Outfitters here in Monument for a tune-up. They did a fantastic job getting it ready for the 2021 riding season with a thorough cleaning, lubrication, and tune, especially of my front fork which I was struggling to lock. Their work was so good I brought an older Trek mountain bike in for a similar tuneup. I have used several shops in Colorado Springs in years past, but Routes Outfitters here in Monument did much better work!”

“This place was great! We rented fat tire bikes and rode in town and 8 miles on the sand. This is the best way to see the beach. The owner was so nice and went out of his way to drive to mustang Island to pick up our bikes from Port royal since we were too tired to ride them back into town. “Got to the Bass Island Trailhead only to realize my rear tire had blown out. Super disappointed. Good thing Fifty West was right around the corner. I have a 1980s Raleigh steel frame road bike. We headed to the shop, parked easily in their designated spots, and were helped right away. On a Wednesday evening, it seemed most people were there for the brewery so the shop was pretty mellow. Dave was our mechanic and was super respectful, helpful, and taught me a lot about my bike, what went wrong, why it went wrong, and provided solutions. He went above and beyond my expectations, and did not patronize me or talk to me in a condescending manner like MANY BIKE SHOP DUDES DO. As a woman, I'm tired of this garbage and really appreciate bike shops that treat women with respect. Anyway, we were outta there in 30 minutes, with a new tube, tire, and fixed up rear brake. Tom was really cool too. I definitely want to go back for my other bike needs. I highly recommend this bike shop.”

“After calling around to many bike stores to see who had any bikes our size in stock, we found bikes to replace our bikes (which were stolen on vacation in Atlantic City) at Eddy’s. The customer service at two different stores we visited was superb. The first bike…I literally needed to get a bike that day as my teen relies on hers for transportation to activities. They showed us all models in stock that fit her size, let us test them in the parking lot, gave us time to think it over in private and then we confidently selected a bike for her (she rides her Trek daily). A few days later I stopped at another Eddy’s and they had a bike in stock that fit my needs. Don’t visit AC. But definitely check out Eddy’s if shopping for a good bike and excellent shopping experience.”

“Scheels is a fantastic store to visit. With that being said this location is not as good as locations in other states. I feel like this location is slipping from what I originally liked it for, their wide variety of team sports options. I know I can buy what I want online, but what I really want is to see my options in front of my face. This location used to provide me with that. I've only visited this location once in the past 6 months after all of the team sports options were replaced with a women's section. I saw that as a sign I didn't need to drive the 70-plus miles here. I enjoy the Springfield, Illinois, Des Moines and Eden Prairie, Minnesota locations over this location.”
