“This loop is located pretty much close by to the starting point of the Main Trail loop. It's pretty much just a flat gravel trail with stones on the side to mark it so you don't get off-trail. There's some trees and varieties of cacti. The trails seemed to branch off randomly but then would connect again. I did see a wooden gate and beyond that the trail was closed. The employee advised me it's because they are installing a new tortoise exhibit, tba when it's done... Nothing too scenic in the fall on this particular loop although I bet if you come in the spring, it's more pretty as the cacti bloom...”

“Of all the dog parks in the area, this one seems to be the cleanest/best maintained, and frequented by people who have invested at least some basic training time with their dogs. We’re typically here once or twice a week, and I can’t think of a time we’ve had to deal with aggressive dogs or questionable owners. If you have a very young, small, passive or timid dog, this would be a great place to begin socializing as they have an area specifically for those purposes - and the active dog areas are large enough so that your pup can get some space if need be. We also like the fact that this place is so well-lit at night, so that our dog can still safely enjoy off-leash time in the summer when the sun goes down; there are also water fountains in and outside the park areas to keep things cool, which as you know is key for any active dog in AZ.”

“This is one of the few places I have visited that is on the top of my list. You can take a self guided tour of the grounds, but not before they give you their traditional clothing and coverings. Skirt and head covering for the women, and a long sleeve shirt for the men. I was wearing pants so i don't know if they make you wear those, if you're not already. The whole energy he is peaceful and the trees in the wind make the place sound like an ocean of pure bliss. You won't find that bliss though, unless you pay attention to the sounds and visuals. 12/10 would recommend. P.S I did my best on the 360 photo”

“My little guy is just old enough to start liking parks and this one is perfect for him! The padded ground is great for him to fall on. It’s definitely one of the nicer and more toddler friendly parks in our area. Looking forward to many happy park dates here!”

“The best thing about my stay at Spencer Canyon Campground was the camp hosts, Mark and his wife. They kept the place very clean and were always friendly. Having clean smelling bathrooms was a great surprise while camping. As others have said, some of the sites are very close together but some allow for more space. The views from the higher number sites, 45+ are amazing as you overlook Tucson. From most of the sites it is a little walk to get to where you can park but a few are closer. I had a relaxing and restful stay.”

“A short distance from the parking area during the rainy season there is a beautiful loud running water fall and clear creek. We also see lots of wildlife in the area like deer. Definitely worth a visit! Only negative is the day fee of $8 or week fee of $12 at this time.”

“One of the prettiest city parks I have seen in the last three years. Anthem, a Neighborhood of Phoenix Arizona the City park is outstanding in several ways. The beautiful design fused with a beautiful job of upkeep. Makes a wonderful park . The waterfall and cool lake.keep the ambient temp down. And the room spread out is enormous.. Any park people need an example????”

“Took the family out in March '22 to SB Cove and had a great time in our little pop-up camper. We got lucky and was able to grab a spot right on the water front. Bring a shovel to help level your campers. You don't need a 4x4 to get to this area and we saw some smaller cars as well. There was a little bit of wind but nothing outrages. We saw a few people catch a lot of fish! Just make sure you buy your Tonto pass before you head out here just in case the kiosk doesn't work and to save a couple of bucks. The 2 bathrooms here were really clean and had absolutely no smell when we used it. You can access the restrooms by hiking back up away from the water.”

“Big Beautiful campground that’s no longer maintained. Grass over grown weeds high and more. If you go during monsoon season you’ll be lucky to find the water flowing down the rocks onto the road. Nice place to make a few s’mores or cook a few hot dogs on one of the many grills. Just beware that the weeds are a lil high and grass to your ankles so go prepared. Overall it’s a good place to get in touch with nature while getting away from the city.”

“Wow, I was very pleased with my "Grand Canyon Experience". Max was a very knowledgeable host and guide. His experience with preparation, fitness and overall comprehension of the Grand Canyon was top notch. If you are wondering if the Grand Canyon is something you want to hike for the day, hike for a couple of days or even push your limits and do a Rim to Rim to Rim...Max is your answer for preparation and everything that lends itself to a successful adventure!!”

“This is a great hike! In the winter, Cave Creek actually has water in it. Hike is very easy going and there are a couple of loops to choose from. Pets are allowed, just pick up after them. The kids all had a great time. This is a terrific spot nearby that everyone in the family can enjoy. There's horse riding available. I didn't get the prices, but lots of people were doing it. I think they were using horses on the Elephant trail, which is one that goes into the mountains that is not maintained. I had a great time. It's a fun and relaxing walk with amazing sunsets. Right now in the winter time it's not too hot. It's a perfect time to take everyone in the family out for a nice walk. I would choose this over other trails because it's great for the novice hiker.”
