“Last minute stay here (the nearby yellow post sites were all occupied) but it was a good stay. Nice large campground. Some sites seemed a little crowded. We stayed at #64. This whole row of sites was pretty empty compared to the rest of the campground. Plus, there were no sites on the back side which was nice.”

“Every BHC employee has shown me genuine concern, attentiveness, and gave me their expert efficient assistance by quickly finding me quality products at competitive prices. While it would typically take me an hour to find maybe half of what I seek in confusing big box locations, I have found 100% of the products I sought in less than half that time with the help of friendly and knowledgeable BHC service reps as the BHC family works together to make customer experience the best anywhere. I am very grateful and have become a loyal customer for all my home-related maintenance and repair needs.”

I posted a photo of the hemet lake side during our winter in 2023 Feb.”

“Nice big park that is PG to PG-13 rated when it comes to being clean and transient-free, but I did find a pleasant little graffiti note scribbled onto one of the playground equipment that I have posted below. 😳🧼”

“We enjoyed camping at their private campground. The campsites were spread out pretty far apart from each other providing enough privacy for campers. We enjoyed some of their homemade food items and also brought some home. We also had a good time at the farm petting goats and looking at chickens and rabbits. The hammock and fire pit provided by the host was very useful!”

“Super cool attraction! I stopped by on a trip to Palm Springs. It’s only about 20 minutes outside the city. As a solo traveling adult, I did not go in just walked around the dinosaurs outside which is free. It’s cool and fun. If you’re only going to the outside you won’t need more than 10 minutes!”

“Big huge park. Good for bike riding . Plenty of athletic fields including 3-4 baseball fields. Also an aquatics center with tall slide. Plenty of parking. Not a lot of trees and few shady areas. Best time to walk and ride a bike is during cooler fall winter spring season. In summer too hot .”

“I love this campground. It's a beautiful small campground nestled in the trees in the canyon. It has 22 sites....several first come first serve and then there are reserved spaces. I don't recommend long trailers. One man had a lot of trouble parking his 20 footer. The parking spaces are not really designed for that. It's geared towards tent camping. The bathrooms have a vault toilet in them. Currently there is no water available in Fern Basin Campground due to issues with the tanks. However, water is available at Marion Mountain Campground just up from Fern Basin. I really love staying here. I had no cell signal with Metro and another lady had T-Mobile and no signal. Her friend had one with Verizon. Please enjoy the beauty of the campground and help by picking up your trash and putting it in the dumpster provided. At $10 a night, you can't beat it. Very relaxing and peaceful.”

“I spend 6 days a week at this park, we play pickleball open group play Monday,Wednesday, Friday, Saturday morning 7 am and Tuesday Thursday evenings 5:30 pm. ( We have lights) This is a beautiful park. They have a walking path that we take our dogs on and a playground. Tennis courts, basketball and pickleball as well as volleyball and horseshoe pits. Valley wide does a great job maintaining the grounds and they try to keep the restrooms are pretty nice and they clean as much as possible.”

“Absolutely beautiful, and we didn't come across one other person. A TON of wildlife, so please be careful. Bring water and a snack because even in late winter early spring, the sun can be very warm. Cell service is spotty. Many trail options, so be aware of what one you choose because getting back could be difficult and/or easy to get lost if you're not paying attention.”

“While a little treacherous to get to at times (definitely need a higher-clearance vehicle) the campground is situated on a prefect location surrounded by boulders and tall trees. We stayed in spot 30, which has an amazing view and drop behind it. Lots of great opportunities for bouldering!”

“Nice trails for walking and dirtbikes. Would not recommend using other vehicles off the main road as trails are very rocky and not suitable for most vehicles that will get stuck easy. Very remote and no phone signal. Be sure to carry lots of water.”

“Vail Lake is an awesome place for resort, trailers, and tents. Plenty of space on each lot. We have a 40 foot diesel and there was room for a 12×10 canopy and our 12x10 screen house. They have picnic tables and a fire pit. There are 3 swimming pools, tennis area, a space to release your dogs (we have 6 rescues), a bar that serve great margaritas, a store and on Friday and Saturday night a band. They also rent golf carts. The people who camp there are pretty nice. Forgot to mention they do rent cabins. They look nice on the outside. Not sure what they look like on the inside. Overall our favorite Koa to camp.”

“Mount Rubidoux Park has a great beginner level hike for all to enjoy. We parked at Ryan Bonaminio Park and climbed the hill to the start of the trail. The trail is paved, and great for kids. A stroller could also be used, though pushing it up the hill is some spots could be a workout. The weather was cool when we went, but I imagine it would be hot in the summertime, and there is very little shade. The hike didn’t take us very long, maybe an hour and a half to two hours tops, and that’s with little kids, and taking it very easy. There are good views of the surrounding landscape, as the trail wraps around all sides. This activity was a great choice to get the kids out of the house for a short time, and not too intense. There were quite a few people there, some choosing to run the hill as a workout, which would be a good one if you lived nearby. Again, good option that doesn’t require a big-time commitment or a lot of physical ability. Get in a workout, or just get some fresh air, either way it was fun for me and the family.”

“I thought this was going to be a lousy little park but it turned out to be a really, REALLY cute pond with a bunch of different types of ducks! I didn’t expect for there to be that many! The walkway was surprisingly clean for how many critters roam that small area and the memorials along the way were beautifully done. It was a highlight of my trip to the region.”

“Came to Hunt Park pool to get cooled off this afternoon. 1:30-3:30. Came here as a kid every summer. Swim all day, meet friends, get snacks back in the 60's. Great memories. A lot has changed today. Will return to swim to get some exercise. 👍🏼”

“Can I do more than 5 stars. This place is amazing. So much to do for everyone. They have 2 pool areas. The kids one connects to the recreation room with a snack bar. They have play areas, volleyball, tennis, trails. You know it They have it. Movie night for the kids is so much fun especially under the clear skies you can see the stars so bright. Each weekend night they had music from cover bands to dj to karaoke. All family friendly. Everyone is friendly. Only thing I would say is it could use a few updates. But recommend it to everyone. It's definitely a memorable experience for everyone.”

“So far the best RV Park/Resort we’ve been to. Beautiful grounds. Clean restrooms/showers. Sites are HUGE. There’s a well stocked 24 hr mini mart at the gas station. The resort functions like an independent city, it has its own resources. Never had a noise issue as DPS patrols there. There’s an overflow parking lot unrelated to the resort. We overnighted there one time when it was full. In the A.M. security came by and we simply told them we had reservations that day which check in time was 2 p.m. and there was no problem. The front desk girls were very helpful with future reservations. Didn’t bother with the casino however though they have very frequent shuttles running there. Will be back for sure.”
