“Location was the best. Walking and driving was easy and short to many food, shops and entertainment. Clean large room with lots of space. Needed an additional chair. And 1 lamp would not turn on. However i was to tired to ask for help. Making room a tad dark. It was quiet. Easy and quick access to park. Breakfast was great, check in and out was great. Staff was friendly. Bed and pillows were comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay again”

“Right away I was impressed with the service. My girlfriend and I were impressed with their attentiveness and punctuality. We were also impressed with the rooms and the prices. The bartender, (I think his name was Derek) was the most hospitable bartender I have had experience with. I am so happy with my experience here. Personally I do not give my business to anyone without exception that does not allow my dog to be there. I was extremely impressed with how accommodating this establishment has been for me as a dog mom. I travel for business and will only be going to this resort when in area.”

“The pool is a delight and although outside it was 111° the room was cool and comfy. The location is perfect and they were animal friendly so having my little 15 year old toothless dog with me there was a dream. It was a great stay. The only thing I'd say is as a woman traveling alone, after 11pm they shut all the lights off so it gets pretty dark. Sharing so you're aware and can plan accordingly.”

“This is a classic mid century desert motel. It is cinder block construction with a shed roof. It is covered in solar panels. The interior walls are white painted cinder blocks but there are newer, colorful southwestern style art, bedspreads, curtains etc. There is a small kitchen with 2 electric elements, microwave, fridge, sink, cooking and serving utensils, plates etc. Cooked 3 simple meals, turned out well. There's a back door off kitchen that opens to a clear area bordered by a hedge. Has a table and chairs for outdoor dining and there is a bbq available. Has a very clean and well maintained pool and spa. Area has amazing sunsets. If you like old architecture, comfort and quiet plus a kitchen, this is it, we loved it.”

“Just spent one night there to test out. Only 3 sites being used including mine. Seemed fairly quiet except the one family (mom, dad, kid and dog) who seemed louder than the other site that had several people (about 7 or 8 people). Gave it a 4 star instead of 5 because I wish there was a ranger to keep the dog family in check since their dog wasn't on a leash. It didn't full blown attack, but as I walked by their site, I had my hand on my knife and had to stop for the owner to come and get it.”

“Like many have said, the location makes Riviera Inn perfect. It is not fancy but maintained. We stayed on the second floor and if it is a hot spell, you might want to b on the bottom floor. There are not many luxury features. We were there to explore and enjoy the beaches. The Inn serves full time residents also and has quiet hours starting at 8pm. We enjoyed chatting with the local residents at the pool and got some good tips.”

“A cozy little spot to get away, the view of the lake is fantastic, close enough to Julian, you can get there in just a few minutes, but you still have plenty of privacy. If you’ve got kids it’s a great place to rent. WiFi is fast and reliable, plenty of entertainment options for the whole family in and around the cabin. Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Julian!”

“Cute and quiet campground with flushable toilets and warm showers. Some campsites are a bot close to each other and have no privacy at all. Very clean and well taken care of campground which also has cabins. The only problem is that the road is right next to the campsites. The cars cause noise throughout the day and night.”

“This place is just as beautiful as it looks in the pictures. Such a serene place, with a secluded feel while at the same time being conveniently close to the cute town of Julian. We came last year for our anniversary, and again this year for our anniversary. It was just as wonderful the second time. The llamas are so much fun to feed. The room is clean and has such fun decor. We stay at Stargazer when we come, and we love the private jacuzzi. The bed is the most comfortable in the world, and we get the best sleep here. Thank you, Chris, for your wonderful hospitality.”
