“This is a small neighborhood Hispanic restaurant. The food is fresh and flavorful. The service was fast and courteous. The margaritas 🍹were delicious. There is a lot of food. There is enough to share or take home. Parking is in the rear of the restaurant and north of the restaurant. There is also street parking. The decor is of wooden panels and Hispanic items. The is a TV with sports playing and great late 80’s and 90’s music playing.”

“Been a patron here for 20+ years. Have never had a bad meal, and the owners are the nicest people! Not a fancy "sit-down" kind of place; just a simple, high quality, and delicious place to go. The Salted pork is a big win, great wor wonton soup, and be sure to try the pot stickers.”

“I'm still sitting in the restaurant to write this so I don't forget anything. Everything was SO delicious! We jad the appetizer sampler, empenadas (1 beef 1 chicken), a mango papaya shake, and the Cubano sandwich. We both felt that this was the best yucca we've had. The fried pork was fantastic. The empenadas were flaky and flavorful. The bread on the Cubano was the perfect mix and crispy and fluffy. The shake tasted creamy and fresh. It was the perfect ending to a hot day at Magic Mountain!”

“Tacos Dos Hermanos is on my must-visit list whenever I'm in this neck of the woods, and sometimes it's my favorite part of the day. Great tacos, cheerfully made, and there's a nice picnic table where you can eat.”

“The food is amazing and the staff are friendly! There will be a little bit of a wait, but it’s worth it because everything is cooked to order! Always fresh. They close from 2-3 to be able to prep for more customers, since they have grown so fast! Definitely recommend. Never had a bad meal!”

“Cafe Royale had some of the best goat meat dish I've had in a while. Fork tender with some flavorful rice green bell pepper and onion. Their red and green salsa's were amazing, the green one felt right at home with a very pleasant spice level yet still having very complex flavor's. The red salsa was sweeter and was a nice palate cleanser for the dish. The staff was pleasant and welcoming with a nice price point for the amount of food. This might be the new spot!”

“I stopped by lunch time and was surprised by this delicious food and fast service. Clean atmosphere, friendly staff, and reasonably price for luck for two with alcohol. We eat until we were stuffed, that’s how much food came on the combo for two for 60$. Definitely I place that I will explore more.”

“Heard about this place through word of mouth recommendation. Went here for mothers day with my wife, kids, and my mother. My brother-in-law, his wife, and their toddler joined last minute and the server was very accommodating with fitting them in to our reservation. It was the first time any of us had eaten here. Today there was a sepacial mothers day brunch menu available which many of us ordered from, but the regular menu also had some good options. None of the food disappointed and we were all happy with what we ordered. The server was attentive to us and checked in on us often, and we didn't have to wait too long for anything that we would ask for.”

“Don't be fooled by the modest surroundings. This place is an absolute gem! Really friendly, attentive service, and the food is to die for. Absolutely delicious and clearly made using the freshest of ingredients, and at very reasonable prices. Highly recommended.”

“Amazing food, came out quickly, and a good spot in town. As a vegetarian, their ‘Veggie’ burrito only has rice, beans, and lettuce. I asked for onion & bell pepper, and it was a bit extra $$. A little odd, but it worked. The tostada bowl salad was tasty, the burrito was delicious, and the hard shell potato taco was a new favorite!”

“Friendly and helpful! We ordered coffee for an event and Tyler at this location was on point and super helpful. When we picked up the order this morning, we were greeted by happy faces, smiles and it truly made our start of the day fantastic! The location on the corner of Alton and Culver is convenient and there is ample parking if you are on the go or if you have more time, there is a nice seating area outside with umbrellas. Wonderful service, great coffee and happy people!”

“Taqueria La Chilanguita Found this gem of a place tucked between a gas station and a beauty salon. Swung by on a Tuesday but they were closed, forgot that I read it in one of the reviews and tips. Not to be discouraged I came back to check out what's up with the near perfect rating. Got there before noon and I saw but one parking space available so I quickly eased into it. Walked inside and noted that out of the ten tables, 6 were occupied, one had a booster seat on top of the table, another was quickly taken by the man who walked in front of me so l had to take what's available. I sat on one end of two tables put together to form a long one I guess in case of bigger groups, not a lone diner like myself. The hostess didn't say anything though. It was a few minutes after, that I got a menu and decided on machaca con huevos. When the lady came to take my order I told her I wanted the machaca and pointed at the picture of a plate with what I presumed was shredded beef, two sunny side up eggs, rice and beans. She told me that was carne asada plate and the machaca con huevos is made with scrambled eggs, onions, tomatoes, and shredded beef. In the end I went for the carne asada plate. It didn't take long before my plate was delivered to me and I salivated at the aromas that assailed my nostrils. The beans, although a little on the runny side, was creamy, the rice was fluffy, both were so flavorful they were a meal by themselves. The carne asada was really good. Way back when, I was invited to my friend's house and her mom cooked carne asada and homemade tortillas. This carne asada and house made tortillas (3 of them that came in a warmer) almost brought me to tears, as they reminded me of my friend and her mom, both of whom I haven't seen in ages. I was trying to pace myself and look composed as I tried not to shovel the food as fast as I wanted to, being the only non-Hispanic customer wanted to look cute. Really good food makes me lose my mind sometimes. Lol. I had coffee with my big breakfast. Strong and hot coffee that came in a good sized mug, not those dainty little cups, and a cute little tin cup of creamer. It was a perfect accompaniment to my heavy meal. As I made my way to the cashier to pay, I noticed a glass case with a variety of pan dulce (sweet bread). Got a dozen to go and I got a vanilla and chocolate conchas for free. Wow what a deal. Fast and friendly service, no wonder they have a near perfect score. It may be due to the not so great parking area, but I wouldn't dock a star for that. This place has got my two thumbs up. I'll be back for the machaca con huevos.”

“Absolutely delicious! Best food in California I've ever had. Made to order from scratch. Food from El Salvador. I stopped by restaurant as I had to make a work visit in the town. I walked in blind with no look at reviews, pictures, or the menu. The restaurant is unassuming from the outside and is located in a very rural town. In all honesty, if this food was served in a restaurant in any major city, it would be filled daily. The food was made to order so don't expect food to come out quickly. I received my order in about 15 minutes although the restaurant was empty. We were lucky on that day because they just had received a day before some fresh herbs that were from El Salvador. I've never had Salvadoran food but this restaurant has made me a huge fan. Food I ordered and ate: Mixtas Chicharron, Loroco (Pupusa), Platanos Fritos, and Repollo. The owner was so sweet and friendly. One would never know the best food in the United States is located in very rural areas made by very special people.”

“Outstanding friendly and helpful service is the number one thing at this little gem. The two women who served us were friendly and had glow of real happiness on them, which is almost spooky for Los Angeles, but all the more remarkable because of it. The food was very good +- I had the chilaquiles, My friend had the heuvos rancheros, and they serve up a beautiful warm bolillo, which made me wish I could come back and sample their bakery in a more systematic fashion. the chilaquiles were very good but my bar is very high, unfairly so, I reckon. I think the HR were good too. I very much liked their unsweetened cafe olla, which I think I ruined by putting in half and half in a fit of distraction. Well it wasn't ruined but it would have been better without it. And I love what they did to make the sidewalk seating a friendly grotto like porch -- a pleasant oasis of character in this pretty bleak commercial neighborhood. I'd return again if I were for some reason in the neighborhood again...”

“Rubio's always has great fish tacos. I've been eating at Rubio's for years now. One thing I can say about their service is that they are usually very pleasant and very helpful and patient. The place was clean, and they have a self-serve salsa bar and drinks. If you like fish tacos, this would be a great place for you to try. As far as price, you're going to spend about $12 to $15 per person.”

“I was here for lunch as they are usually closed on Wednesdays. The service is great and the good portions are big. I ordered the chicken and my friend ordered the shrimp. It tasted great and then for dessert we ordered the sweet potato dipped in sugary syrup which you have to dip in cold water before you eat as it's very hot due to the sugary syrup. This is something very special for children in China who enjoy these as a dessert. It reminded me of giving healthy food wrapped up in cheese so that kids eat healthy 😊. For me the soup portion looked too big so it is advisable to go when you're hungry and can eat that big bowl. They do have a lot of options on their menu such as dim sum and dumplings as well. I will say give it a try and you will love to visit here. Make sure it's not on a Wednesday as they are closed for business.”

“Good food and great service. The restaurant is nice and clean. Food is very flavorful. They also sell Boaba inside. I had the bánh mì sandwich, and it came with an Au Jus dip of chicken pho. The restaurant is Romy enough for large groups of friends, as well as bar, side table for an individual meal .”

“Ordered a taco estilo "Perro" on a handmade thick tortilla. The taco has steak (resembling birria) , grilled cheese, red salsa, radishes, Chipotle sauce, onion, and beans de olla. The taco weighs about a pound so a small tortilla won't do, and comes in its owe box. Needed 2 just to fill me up, because it's Gordito Approved! Pull up, and grab yours to go!”
