Paradise Island RV Resort

Campground Rv park Park Lodging

“I stayed here for almost 2 weeks with my boyfriend. I found the park to have everything I needed and more. The pool & showers are nice and well-taken care of, and they include a laundry room which some parks don't have. The spot was a little tight, but it's in the middle of metropolitan Fort Lauderdale so that's to be expected. My boyfriend and I ride electric scooters and we found the roads to be really nice and well-paved - perfect riding roads. Nancy at the front desk was nice and accommodating as well, even when it was time for us to leave. Another plus side, its also not a far drive from downtown either! One thing I did not like would be that we weren't allowed to stay longer than 2 weeks. The front desk had stated it was policy, but from looking around and from reading reviews I see that there are people that stay longer so I felt a little offended by that however I didn't find out this information until after I left the park. But overall, good stay & would recommend.”

“The ramp is really nice and not slippery. Although I was launching the paddle board it was easy to walk into the water and have sand and not barnacles greet you. And not scratch my board. Parking is great and shady if your early. The restrooms are large and clean. Everyone was nice with lots of Father’s Day launches no one was rude and all idled out respecting the kayaks and boards. Beautiful view of the lighthouse too”

Turner Funeral Home Inc

Address: 14360 Spring Hill Dr, Spring Hill, FL 34609, USA

Funeral home Cemetery Park

“Turner Funeral Home was recommended to me when my dad passed away. The staff was very professional, sympathetic for my loss and respectful as my dad was a veteran. My dad had left me with specific instructions for when the time came and Turner Funeral Home made sure his instructions were honored. They set time frames of when we could expect certain things to be completed and they beat those time frames. I was caught off guard with the pricing of a basic cremation but I feel with the cremation and the service I received from the staff at such a hard time for me was worth the price I paid to honor my daddy's wishes.”

Cornerstone Park

Address: 1046 Florida A1A, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082, USA

Park

“Great little park for kids sports. There are Four baseball fields, four batting cages, two tennis courts and one football field / soccer field. There's a couple of picnic tables at public restroom and on game day as Food Shack with decent food. The bleachers for the baseball fields are for the most part covered from the Sun. The tennis courts seem to have been hijacked by one of the "for pay" private instructors almost making the tennis courts feel off limits. My wife was recently run off the court by this instructor saying he has the court all day. To the best of my knowledge this is a public tennis court and as long as you wait your turn you should be able to play. The food shack has snack fare including hot dogs, hamburgers, drinks and snacks. The public restrooms are nothing special but are neither completely disgusting (I only observed the men's restrooms).”

Bird Key Park

Address: 200 John Ringling Causeway, Sarasota, FL 34236, USA

“Amazing place ! I enjoy the sunrise there , there's a lot of people walking or running. Many dogs in the mornings love to see them. The best time to see the ocean water color is around 3 p.m., it looks so pretty! At nights the bridge looks beautiful and the city lights make a great view.”

Orlando Tree Trek Adventure Park Zip Line

Address: 7625 Sinclair Rd, Kissimmee, FL 34747, USA

Park

“Awesome adventure! I would recommend this for reasonably fit people or those who want to test their balance and strength, as you will need both! Our guide was excellent (I can’t remember his name, but it starts with an E), gave us very clear and thorough directions, and was around to give help when needed. A few things I’d recommend for first timers, as I would absolutely go back and didn’t properly research what I was getting myself into: - The guides will not be on the obstacles with you, but rather on the ground doing rounds of the park to make sure everyone is safe and doing okay. - I got super nauseated during some of the obstacles, especially in the beginning. It took me a while to adjust to the height of the obstacles, like getting your “sea legs” but up in the air. If you are prone to motion sickness, perhaps skip chugging coffee before your adventure (oops) and maybe take some Dramamine beforehand. It also helped me a lot to focus on a spot on the platform ahead of me if I felt woozy. Looking down will only make it worse! - I would skip this if you are afraid of heights. The course is also designed for people of average height, so taller people might have issues getting through the courses. There was a really tall guy in front of me that had some trouble on a few of them, and the couple behind me said the wife had no trouble with some obstacles, but her husband (taller) had some difficulty with. It helps to bend your knees and lower your center of gravity if you feel like you can’t get your balance. All in all a wonderful experience, and as a local, I wish they had a monthly or annual pass option! This was super fun and unique experience I’d definitely do again. The best part is they have office dogs!!! Blue (the tan one) and Bear (the black one) definitely run the place. I had just as much fun playing and loving on the dogs as I did with the obstacles and zip lines. Thank you!”

Center Lake Park

Address: Clermont, FL 34711, USA

Park

“The charm and natural beauty of the lake is there no doubt and there is beautiful corridors of the downtown area visible, but the part could be cleaned up a little better and there could be neater more constructive barriers between the lake and walking paths. Also there could be more trees or bushes to improve or hide back of buildings.”

Temple Crest Center Playground

Address: 8116 N 37th St, Tampa, FL 33604, USA

Park

“Small park with not much to do. The random benches along the river make for a nice spot to just sit and relax.”

The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art

Address: 5401 Bay Shore Rd, Sarasota, FL 34243, USA

Museum Park

“Haven’t been here in many years since I was younger. New buildings, everything even nicer than I remember. Took the family for the day when the weather was nice, had a playground in the center in the park and the kiddo loved that. I loved the dioramas of the old circus setups. The grounds are as beautiful as ever and it was a great day to walk the grounds and see the many beautiful types of plants and flowers. As every time I’ve ever been always need more time, just means we will be back soon. There is so much to see, the grounds are worth the trip alone and then the museum for circus items and the art collection. You could easily fill several days or many trips to see it all.”

Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve

Address: 505 Guana River Rd #6527, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082, USA

Next time planning to bike the entire place.”

It is approximately $25 for entrance fee, there's a restaurant and snack place on site along with a small art gallery gift store located in the main entrance. This is a lot of walking to do as it is located in several different buildings and is a self-guided tour along with outside rose gardens and playground areas along with a connecting path that takes you to the art museum exhibits in additional buildings.”
